Recently, it has become a tradition to create covered buildings at the dacha for rest and eating in the fresh air. Moreover, the type of construction, shape, size and materials used depend only on the imagination and financial capabilities of the owners. If financial resources are limited, then an excellent budget solution is a gazebo with shed roof, made by hand.

Project creation and its advantages

To build such a gazebo, you do not need special construction skills, it will be enough to competently draw up a drawing and follow it during the installation of parts of the structure. Here are a few more factors that speak in favor of this type of building:

  • fast assembly;
  • a light weight;
  • resistance to the influence of the external environment;
  • minimum material costs;
  • the ability to choose the option of placing the structure: as or as a stand-alone building;
  • simplicity of design;
  • all types of work can be mastered by one person.

Most simple option for drawing up a diagram and erecting a structure, a single-slope is considered.

Before proceeding with the development of the drawing, you should choose a part of the territory suitable for construction. This can be both the center of the site, and a place in the shade of shrubs and trees, near a reservoir or the main building. It all depends on what function the building will perform:

  1. Dining room . The space should be clearly calculated so that a dining table with chairs for all family members fits there.
  2. Summer cuisine . In this case, it will be correct to foresee in advance a place for a stove, barbecue or barbecue, as well as to correctly divide the cooking and eating areas.
  3. Playroom. In such a room, special attention should be paid to the flooring. It should not be slippery so that children are not injured.
  4. Workroom... It is better to place a structure with such a purpose away from the bustle and prying eyes - in a calm place on the edge of the site or in the garden.

Preparation and installation of the base

To fill a high-quality foundation, you will need to do the following:

In this form, the foundation must be allowed to stand for a week - until it dries completely.

Erection of the frame and flooring

While the base is gaining strength, it is worth starting to manufacture parts of the frame. Boards can be cut in advance and walked over them with a plane.

After the foundation has completely dried, you need:

Each step in the construction of the frame must be controlled using a building level to avoid skewing the structure.

Roof installation and assembly

To get quality pitched roof, you need to assemble the rafter system with the selected angle of inclination, which depends on the roofing material and the climate of the region.

Roof construction stages:

  1. The used timber must be pretreated with antiseptics to protect against the influence of the external environment, and with antipyretics for fire safety purposes.
  2. Measure and cut the required amount rafter legs, leaving 50 cm for overhang on both sides.
  3. Install the front, rear rafters using corners and nails to the strapping bar. It is recommended to pull a string between them to secure the other rafter legs at the same angle.
  4. Lay strips of waterproofing film to the rafters, with an overlap of 15 cm. Do not pull. Secure with a construction stapler.
  5. Make a crate, with a distance between the elements of at least 20 cm. Use an unedged board as a material.
  6. The roof is completed by the ondulin flooring. It must be overlapped by 10 cm.

Decorating

At the discretion of the owners, the entire structure or parts of it are painted. The outside of the wood can be varnished.

The issue of wood protection is discussed in more detail in the article:

At the end finishing works you need to take care of the selection and arrangement of furniture.

The building is decorated with fresh flowers in pots, climbing plants and shrubs are planted around the perimeter.

For lighting, you can install small bulbs throughout the ceiling area.

Textiles will add bright accents to the gazebo - original curtains, pillows, tablecloths, bedspreads for benches and chairs.

Calculation of construction costs

The average price for ready-made versions of arbors ranges from 25 thousand to 50 thousand rubles, but this is far from the limit.

To create such a building on your own, it is important to take into account the average market prices for materials and tools:

  • 1 kg of nails - 64 rubles;
  • 1 bag of cement - 240 rubles;
  • 1 roll of roofing material - 230 rubles;
  • 1 m 3 beams - 5300 rubles;
  • 1 m 3 edged board - 3800 rubles;
  • 1 m 3 of floor boards - 380 rubles;
  • 1 m 2 shinglas - 250 rubles;
  • 10 liters of impregnation - 70 rubles.

The final cost of the entire structure depends on its size, type of roofing and finishing materials and is calculated individually for the project.

A gazebo with a pitched roof protects the owners country house from the heat and rain, it will become a cozy place for evening tea or fun gatherings with friends. Let's try to make such a building with our own hands.

Suitable roofing materials

Various materials are used for roofing. Depending on the choice, the roof can be self-leveling, metal or plastic. Characteristic feature such a structure consists in the fact that the coating is mounted directly on the rafter beams.

Create a cozy atmosphere on your suburban area

Construction rectangular roof structure requires consideration of several factors:

  • the dimensions of the structure, on which the choice of material, rafters, fasteners depends;
  • the structure should be positioned taking into account the prevailing direction to avoid undue stress on the roof;
  • the angle of inclination of the slopes is determined taking into account the average snow load and the selected type of roof material;
  • the length of the overhangs, correlated with the length of the rafters and battens;
  • ways to drain rainwater.

Materials for the roof are chosen taking into account the angle of inclination of the slopes. Such a roof will be reliable and will last a long time. When choosing, we take into account the following points:

  • bituminous coatings are not used at large slope angles;
  • slate can be used from 15 to 40 degrees, since it has great rigidity;
  • it is better to use corrugated board at angles from 10 to 45 degrees; with a smaller slope, a larger overlap is required;
  • metal tile is recommended at 8-50 degrees, as it has sufficient rigidity.

In this video, you will learn how to build a gazebo with a pitched roof:

Species diversity

The gazebo can be closed, semi-closed and open.

Closed structures are fully protected from adverse natural factors. These gazebos can be used all year round.

Semi-closed partially protect from the penetration of precipitation into the building.

Open structures are a great place to relax in the summer heat and light rain.

By form, structures are distinguished in the form:

  • square;
  • rhombus;
  • rectangle.

A simple gazebo attached to the house is an interesting building solution. Such a structure, made in modern style, will help create an excellent resting place on the territory of the cottage. To build an extension to the house requires less building material and space on the site. For small country houses this is the ideal garden design.

Design Tips

In order to build robust design taking into account the loads, the influence of environmental factors, it is necessary to calculate the materials for the foundation, base, walls, roof and, if necessary, glazing. It is especially important to calculate the slope of the roof. It can be between 6 and 60 degrees. The more windy it is in the area where the building is being erected, the flatter the roof should be designed. At the same time, a large angle of inclination will not allow moisture to linger on the plane of the roof. An important role in calculating the angle is played by specifications roofing material.

Let's consider step by step how to draw up a working project as correctly as possible:

  1. We choose the type of structure: open, semi-open, closed.
  2. We develop design details for the gazebo so that the structure fits into the overall architectural ensemble.
  3. Choosing a construction site.
  4. In the drawing, we mark the height, length, width of the structure, the place of erection of the support posts, the entrance, the height of the fence.
  5. We draw projections of the facade, diagrams of technical units of the structure.
  6. We draw up a plan for the construction of the foundation.
  7. We create diagrams of structural units: dimensions and location window openings, entrance.
  8. We carry out drawings of the roof indicating the angles of inclination, roofing material.
  9. For gazebos with a fireplace or barbecue, a brick laying plan with dimensions is required.

Manufacturing technology

When the gazebo project is completed, we prepare the tools:

  • fastening elements;
  • screwdriver;
  • drill;
  • machine for grinding timber;
  • level;
  • roulette;
  • saw;
  • hammer.

Fundamental works

For a lean-to gazebo with flat roof any foundation will do:

  • columnar;
  • slab;
  • tape.

First of all, we choose a suitable place on the site. It should be flat and open, ideally raised to protect the substrate from moisture. Next, the territory is marked.

The simplest and most economical option for a gazebo made of wood and metal is a columnar foundation. To erect it in the corners of the future gazebo, we install support pillars, maintaining a distance of 2 m. Next, fill the bottom with a mixture of sand and rubble. Cut in equal parts metal pipesso that after digging in they are visible above the surface by about 20 cm. Fix the supports in the holes and align. We insert a piece of reinforcement inside each pipe so that the length of the post is 11 cm longer. Then concrete solution is poured into the pipes, and the space between the walls is filled with stones or earth.

Instead of pipes, you can use strong logs, pre-treated with an antiseptic.

Sometimes bricks or blocks are used instead of pillars; for this, a mixture of sand and gravel is placed on the bottom of the pit, and a piece of reinforcement is placed in the center.

When the foundation is poured, it is given several days to dry. In the process of pouring, support pillars are placed in the corners of the gazebo, fastening them with the upper and lower strapping from a bar.

In the process of erecting a structure, you must adhere to the following sequence:

  1. Saw the beams to the size of the building and polish with a plane.
  2. Cover the concrete pillars with roofing felt. Wrap the top of each support with two layers of waterproofing material.

Take care of the base and location of the gazebo in advance
  1. A lower harness is installed on the pillars, built of four beams. The wooden structure is connected according to the "thorn in the groove" method and is fixed with metal corners.
  2. Frame racks are placed on the lower trim. The short elements are located at the back, creating the desired angle of inclination of the roof.
  3. The edges of the wooden posts are connected with an upper strapping, securing the frame elements with metal fasteners. The size of the structure is controlled by the building level.
  4. Thick floorboards are attached to the bottom rail. They must be laid out, observing a distance of 85 cm.
  5. Using metal corners, railings are attached to the posts. Some openings can be sheathed with slats.

Rafter system

To install the roof on the gazebo frame, follow these steps:

  1. Rafters are made of boards. Basic structure the roof should be half a meter longer.
  2. We put one rafter leg on the top of the building to make markings for sawing grooves. They are needed in order to connect the rafters to the beams. Installation of the basic structure begins with attaching the front and rear rafters. A rope is pulled between these elements, which serves as a level. Along this line, the remaining rafters are attached to the upper harness.
  3. Roofing material is spread on the rafters with an overlap and connected with a special stapler. The smaller the slope angle, the more material overlap should be.
  4. A crate is created from unedged boards. Gaps of 30-40 cm should be left between its parts.
  5. The topcoat is mounted with fasteners. Wind boards are attached to the end of the structure.

Arrangement of the finished object

Decorating a gazebo requires creativity and a sense of taste. Its attractive design depends on the successful design of the building. appearance and how it will fit into the overall architectural ensemble. The structure can be decorated with flowering or climbing plants, trees, shrubs to create shade. Other materials can be used: fabrics, colored glass, ceramics.

The decor can be applied even during the construction of the structure. For example, make the roof of the canopy out of polycarbonate, and in the gazebo itself, close the openings with colored glass, decorating interesting stained glass windows. Original curtains will be an excellent decoration for the gazebo; they can be used to protect from the wind.

When arranging a gazebo with your own hands, you need to follow simple rules... Plants around the gazebo should be in harmony with the surrounding landscape and in line with the overall style of the building. Flowers and plants inside the gazebo should make up a single design composition with interior decoration premises.

Decorative lamps can create a special atmosphere in the gazebo and make it safer in the evening.

Implementation options:

  • spotlights;
  • lED strips - an economical way to effectively highlight in the dark individual elements constructions;
  • garlands of light bulbs will create a festive atmosphere and extravaganza in the country or in a country house;
  • a large chandelier is ideal for creating a classic or antique style in a gazebo.

Every summer, leaving the countryside for the dacha, we strive to spend as much time as possible in the fresh air: cook food on the grill, sunbathe in the sun, organize gatherings with a company of friends. But not always weather conditions allow you to rest as you would like. A sudden downpour, accompanied by winds, will not allow you to enjoy all the delights of summer, but this problem can be easily solved by simply creating a gazebo on the territory of a private house or summer cottage. Such a structure, which performs almost all the functions of a recreation area, is always ready to shelter its owners and friends from any bad weather. Of course, today there is a tremendous opportunity to purchase ready-made gazebos, which are offered in garden centers and hardware stores disassembled.

It takes very little time and almost no effort to assemble all the parts into a single structure. Included with the product you will see an assembly diagram or step-by-step instructions. But there is one significant drawback - the high and, as a rule, unjustified cost of finished verandas. In addition, although they all differ in attractive appearance, they do not have anything special and unique. The real price of materials and time costs are an order of magnitude lower, and the finished construction made by hand will exceed all your expectations. In this article, we will look at the main features and subtleties that will certainly come in handy if you decide to create a gazebo with a pitched roof.

Choosing a project

Some time ago, unusual octagonal gazebos were in trend, which impressed with their luxury and chic. But now everything has changed, and rectangular options are becoming more and more popular, which are a more affordable version. They, as a rule, are attached to the main structure, thereby simplifying the construction process at times. Surely any newcomer to the construction industry will appreciate the shift fashion trends, since the gazebo is single-pitched rectangular or square in shape, easier to assemble. In addition, the extension created according to such a project is more spacious and can accommodate several zones at the same time - for cooking on the grill, for recreation and, for example, a sink.

It is worth noting also the following advantages of a rectangular wooden gazebo with a pitched roof:

  • Ease of assembly. When creating such a gazebo, it will be enough only to find the most suitable drawing and, of course, be able to read it. Absolutely any person who is familiar with the laws of geometry for grades 7-8 since school can cope with this.
  • Practicality. Shed gazebos can be stand-alone structures, as well as full-fledged extensions to a house or summer house. Whichever option you choose, the structure will look organic and very attractive. In addition, a gazebo attached to the house protects buildings from bad weather and strong winds.

  • Profitability. Thanks to such a specific form of the structure, you do not need much supplies... This is why, even if your budget is tight, you don't need to give up on your idea. There are many projects on the Internet, using which, a single-pitched gazebo built will have a stunning appearance with minimal investment.
  • Considering the simplicity of installation and construction work, you will be able to save on labor costs.
  • .Wide scope of design. The single-pitched veranda will be ideal place for the kitchen, dining room, recreation area for children and adults.

Today on the Internet there are many thematic sites, on which from time to time they place various projects of gazebos attached to the house, from various materials... If you do not want or do not know how on your own, then use ready-made and proven other people.

Preparation of building materials

The most common material that is used to create such structures is, of course, wood.

It is known that it is not expensive, safe for human health, aesthetically attractive and can be purchased in almost any region of our state. Such a lean-to gazebo made of wood will perfectly fit into any courtyard of a country house or summer cottage. In order to save as much as possible on construction, we strongly recommend that you, at the stage of choosing a project, start from the selected building material. Typically medium length wooden log equal to six meters. After examining the drawings in detail, estimate how much wood you will need for all construction work. In the event that the dimensions of the building are larger than the figure obtained as a result, you will need to make adjustments to the project, reducing it, or purchase more materials. To create a wireframe, you will need:

  • Beam (preferred breed for you) 100 * 100 millimeters;
  • Solid board 40 * 150 millimeters;
  • Trim part 40 * 150 millimeters;
  • River 25 * 25 mm;
  • Any roofing material (preferably ondulin);
  • Thin film for waterproofing;
  • Fasteners (nails, dowels, screws, corners);
  • Sand-concrete mixture to create the base;
  • Roofing material.

Advice! If the project plans to create a barbecue or a barbecue in a gazebo, then it is strongly recommended to process all wooden elements with a means that will protect the timber from fire due to constant exposure to high temperatures.

The base for the gazebo

If you are interested in how to build a gazebo with your own hands, and whether you need a foundation for such a structure, then there is no definite answer. It all depends on the features of the chosen project. First of all, look at your site and choose the most picturesque place and prepare it for further work. You should clear the surface, remove tree roots if necessary, and replant the plants. It is best if the lower part for the structure is at a slight slope, since rainwater will constantly drain from it, creating a puddle. After the area has been cleared, mark it with a tape measure to select pile locations. In order for the gazebo to be stable with your own hands, you must create at least 6 supports.

After installing them, you can proceed to the direct pouring of the base. To determine the most optimal amount of concrete, take into account the number of posts, as well as the depth to which they were mounted. It is extremely important to take into account the frost resistance of the soil in a particular region during such work. After filling the hole concrete mortar, leave the base to dry for a few days so that it can harden and become durable.

Installation of the structure frame

Until the moment the base has hardened, it is important to have time to mark the location of the frame components. They are sawn and processed using an electric plane. For creating optimal angle slope of the roof slope, the outer vertical posts must be an order of magnitude higher than the inner ones. Let's say you are going to create a structure with a height of 2.5 meters, then in the center the roof should have a height of about 3.2 meters. At the moment when the base is frozen, proceed with the direct assembly.

It is carried out systematically, in several stages:

  • Dismantle the formwork from the posts and cover them with a waterproofing layer. Create squares of roofing material 30 * 30 centimeters in size and lay them on each of the supports in several balls ( the best option - two). In addition, the heads can also be carefully coated with a layer of bitumen.
  • Carry out the installation of the lower frame trim. To do this, it is worthwhile to fasten using the "thorn and groove" method and perform a screed with metal staples.
  • Install the vertical frame partitions so that the roof of the gazebo is at an angle. There should be the same number of them, just like the base piles. Until the moment, until you hold the upper harness, use temporary struts to strengthen the structure. They should be positioned clearly upright. Remove parts of the frame with strapping. For convenience, you can use corners.
  • Floor wooden planks are installed. Keep in mind that the larger the segment between them, the greater the thickness of the material should be. After setting the lag, proceed to the next step - creating the flooring flooring... A grooved board is best for this, but, alas, its cost is quite high. In order to save money, you can carry out the flooring with an ordinary edged board (for this purpose, it is worth using a plane).
  • A wooden railing is mounted, which is attached to the corners of the vertical posts. In the event that the drawings imply the presence of sheathing of some of the parts of the opening, we proceed to its implementation. Decorative sheathing with gaps looks very impressive: with its help, you can perform two functions at once - to leave room for air to penetrate, and also to protect yourself from sunlight even on the hottest day. We can say that this is where the assembly of the frame ends. Let's start creating the roof.

Creating a roof for a gazebo

The roof covering for the gazebo can consist of one slope. Perhaps this is the most suitable option for such structures, since it is distinguished by the ease of installation of the roof structure, which, despite its availability, has an effective and attractive appearance. A pleasant shadow will leave the roof, and the covering will protect from direct influence sun rays... To determine the most suitable angle of inclination, we recommend that you use a special calculator for construction calculations.

Such auxiliary tools can be easily found in the vastness of the network by going to thematic sites and forums. I am assembling the roof, do it in several stages:

  • First you need to cut the rafter legs. It is best to do this with a margin and with the expectation of 2 additional overhangs of approximately 0.4 - 0.5 m. For each rafter, special cuts should be attached, which should be attached to the upper part of the base strapping. They will serve as a kind of pattern for the rest of the legs. They should be created according to a single scheme.
  • All elements should be connected with nails or metal corners. Considering the angle of inclination, stretch the line and twine.

  • Stretch with waterproofing tape and cut into several even strips. When fastening them, do not make a strong stretch, use a construction stapler. It is recommended to make a small overlap of about 10-15 centimeters. Than more degree tilt, the greater the overlap of the film sheets should be.
  • Carry out the installation of the roofing sheets, taking into account the advice given by the manufacturer, and also use the fasteners that come with it. In addition, try to respect the distance between the sheets and the need for an overlap (at least ten centimeters). Remember that the angle of inclination always determines which material is best for laying on the roof of the gazebo.
  • The last thing that needs to be done is to fasten special boards, which are used to protect against wind at the end of the structure. If necessary, move eastward for washing.

Everything is ready. Such a lean-to gazebo is a real find for owners of country houses, as well as summer cottages. It does not matter at all whether it will be autonomous or attached to a structure, the lean-to gazebo will be stylish and original decor plot. She will always show guests that the owner of the house has good taste, and also strive to equip her site with her own hands. In this article, we examined in detail what stages of construction must be performed, as well as what structural features a gazebo has, assuming a pitched roof. If you are not sure about the choice of a particular material, be sure to consult with a specialist in the construction industry.

A beautiful gazebo at home is an important part of any architectural project... Stylish, carefully furnished annex is an additional daytime space, where it is especially pleasant to be in the warm season. How to design and equip a home area so that the gazebo delights with its aesthetics and functionality? Find out from the presented article.

Stylish open gazebos to the house: get closer to nature

The modern outdoor gazebo increasingly resembles a carefully adapted outdoor living room. Minimalism dominates today in such designs as in interiors. Geometric shapes, vibrant colors and raw textures are disturbed by natural materials, mainly stone and wood, which warm the composition. It is important to note that architects strive to achieve harmony between nature and technology in order to create optimal conditions for relaxation among wildlife, abandoning classical balustrades in favor of open space. The facade of the building is decorated with large-format glazing, which allows maximum illumination of the interior and erasing the border between the living room and the courtyard, including the attached gazebo. Terraces are often created on multiple levels, which allows for an interesting division of areas for different purposes, such as a grill, lounges or dining under the cloud. An alternative to this type of construction is a terrace with a staircase near the house.

Manufacturing material of the attached gazebo

Gazebos are of all kinds. Depending on the material from which they are built, they can be:

The forms of arbors are:

Do-it-yourself gazebos attached to the house: what furniture to choose?

Garden furniture is constantly exposed to factors that lead to the destruction of their surface. So that prolonged exposure to UV radiation, humidity and low temperatures does not affect the condition of the furniture, refuse wooden sets, preferring durable and modern materials... Among the solutions offered by leading manufacturers, technorattan is popular - a synthetic material resembling natural rattan obtained from the trunks of palm trees. Unlike its original, technorattan effectively resists the vagaries of the weather and is resistant to mechanical damage above average. In outdoor furniture stores, you will find a huge variety of outdoor items.

Another suggestion is aluminum furniture. High quality metal is ideal for modern design gazebos. The powder-coated surface will not rust, flake or tarnish when exposed to water or frost. Slightly rough furniture with geometric shapes contrasts beautifully with rich greenery, adding a minimalist touch to the landscape.

The location of the terraces near the house most often refers to the design, which until now was intended for elegant living rooms. Standard sets of tables and chairs are replaced by elegant sofas, built-in swings and armchairs with large cushions. Modular sofas are especially popular with all trendsetters. What makes this type of furniture different from classic sofas? Each modular sofa consists of several parts that can be combined with each other in any configuration. The building pieces are extremely lightweight and work together intuitively, so you can effortlessly transform a wide corner into a neat two-piece sofa with poufs.

Shed gazebos attached to the house: photos of beautiful pergolas

Unbearable heat or unexpected rain can derail your barbecue plans, as you have to spend a boring weekend within four walls. The modern area near the house will be even more functional if you enrich it with a stylish gazebo. The collapsible pavilions that tremble from strong gusts of wind are gone once and for all. In trendy gardens, innovative pergolas have taken their place - elegant metal or wooden structureswhich guarantee 100% protection from rain and harsh sun, while at the same time adding a luxurious character to the backyard space.

Pergolas today are made of strong, stable aluminum or wood profiles. Each model is equipped with a folding roof made of several layers of technical fabric or polycarbonate. The material guarantees 100% shading and is a barrier that insulates you from rain and harmful UV radiation. Pergolas are available in two versions: wall-mounted and freestanding. Each variant is equipped with an invisible drainage system... To take advantage of your own garden, it is worth expanding the standard version of the gazebo with additional accessories such as roller shutters, recessed LED lighting and side sliding panels.

Small gazebo extension

It would seem that small extensions do not allow creating a beautiful and practical arrangement. Nothing like this. Thanks to the large number of furniture and solutions, the small gazebo should not be limited. A small gazebo to the house will become a charming oasis of relaxation when you equip it. This area is perfect for midday outdoor recreation. Where there is not enough room for plants in pots, it is worth betting on vertical gardens - the undisputed hit of recent seasons. Slim lanterns, an infrared heater and an upscale neat umbrella with a side leg complete the composition perfectly.

The home gazebo is a great option for you to enjoy nature right from your living room.

Shed roof - the simplest, cheapest and reliable protection for the gazebo. Having picked up quality material and approaching the installation with all responsibility, you can get a beautiful roof at an affordable price.

Large lean-to gazebo

In this article, we will try to build a gazebo with a pitched roof on our own, while observing all the requirements of construction and protection.

First of all, we will consider the characteristics of the gazebo and the basics of its construction - the foundation with the harness, the frame and the upper harness. After that, we will go directly to the roof - study of drawings, construction rafter system, cladding, waterproofing and roofing.

Last but not least, consider the options for buildings with a pitched roof. Probably, one of the proposed ideas may please you, and you will want to use it as the basis for construction in your country house.

In the course of this publication, we will consider not only the construction of a pitched roof, but also the gazebo in general. Therefore, the first stage will be to study the characteristics of the future building, and then directly erect the frame with straps.

Specifications

The end result of construction

  • Dimensions: 3 by 3 meters;
  • Foundation: columnar;
  • Pillars: timber 100 x 120 mm (quite non-standard solution);
  • : single slope;
  • Rafters and lathing: board 25 x 100 mm (18 pieces);
  • Roof: ondulin.

An interesting solution was to use the same boards for the rafter system for both the rafters and the lathing. It turned out to be enough to prepare 18 boards, fold them "into a square" on the roof and the whole top of the gazebo was almost finished.

Foundation and bottom rail

For building construction small size, in this case 3 by 3 meters, classic brick foundation blocks are enough. The finished pillars are coated with bitumen, waterproofing is laid on top - sheets of roofing material.

The lower harness is a 100 x 100 mm beam, which is connected according to the principle of "half a tree". Having laid the harness around the perimeter, a bar is additionally attached to the center of the future floor to hold the floor boards - a lag.

Frame and top rail

To create the frame, a non-standard beam of 100 x 120 mm is used. The dimensions of the posts are not critical, it is enough to use classic sizes 100 by 100 mm.

The pillars are fastened using metal corners (if the store asks, then take at least the seventies). Additionally, you can fasten the posts with a support - the boards are fastened between the lower strapping and the post (before that, the boards are cut at an angle to the ends so that they lie flat on the wooden surface).

The top harness does not look quite standard. Usually, the upper base is identical to the lower one - a timber lies along the perimeter of the structure. Since the roof is single-pitched, it was decided to lay only parallel bars opposite each other, then immediately proceed to fastening the rafters, more on that later.

Roof erection

One of the sides of the gazebo is 20 cm higher than the other. The slope angle can be even greater, the given option is one of the most minimal. However, this is enough to continue further roof construction.

The next step will be to install the rafters, lay a crate on top of them and cover it with a roof - in our case, ondulin is used. Before proceeding with the practical part, let's understand the theory.

Blueprints

Below is a classic example of laying an ondulin roof over a pitched roof. In the case of our gazebo, instead of a bar, we use ordinary boards 25 by 100 mm, and waterproofing is simply skipped (although I would recommend that you definitely complete this step).

Installation of a pitched roof with ondulin

In addition, I would like to show on the basis of what we use the classic wooden crate without any additional rafter legs, supports and racks. Attention to the diagram below.

Since the dimensions of the future gazebo are small (only 3 by 3 meters), there is no sense in additional pores. Only with a roof length of more than 4.5 meters does it make sense to put a bed so that the rafters do not bend under the influence of snow or some kind of atmospheric influences.

Rafter system

On top of the parallel bars of the strapping, the rafter legs are laid. And this is done with a trick: the boards are laid across, 25 mm up and down, and 100 mm on the sides. This is done to create additional hardness, since it will not be difficult to push a classic board, and in this case you will have to try.

Fastening is carried out using metal corners, no additional cuts are needed.

The owner of the gazebo noted that he calmly walked on the roof and nothing sagged under the weight of his weight.

Rafters

Sheathing

On top of the rafters, the same board 25 x 100 mm is laid in the amount of nine pieces. It is already laid with the wide side down, since the roof will be attached to it in the future.

Steam and waterproofing and insulation

If you are planning an insulated roof or you want to additionally protect the material and the interior from moisture, then you will need to lay additional layers of vapor-waterproofing and insulation.

In this case, the whole technology begins with laying a vapor barrier under the rafters. Then you need to put the insulation in the cells between the rafters. On top of the structure, lay a moisture-proof membrane (waterproofing), on which the counter-lattice and lathing are attached. And only after that the roof is laid.

Insulated roof with insulation

This step can be skipped if your gazebo is planned to be open. For such structures, rafters and lathing are enough, on top of which the roof is attached.

Roof selection and installation

Let me remind you that you can skip the stage with steam and waterproofing and insulation. By the time the roof is laid, your roof should look like two perpendicular rows of rafters and battens.

Thanks to the large selection roofing materials, you can choose the best option for yourself. Perhaps you have access to some material (for example, corrugated board) that is perfect for such a roof. Therefore, it is impossible to unequivocally determine the required roof - everyone decides at his own discretion.

In this case, the owner gave preference to ondulin (euro slate). This is a high-quality and reliable material that is very convenient to lay on a pitched roof (about soft tiles I would not say that). Therefore, if you have it possible to use this material, then feel free to start styling.

Photo options with a shed roof

Finally, I would like to give a photo of the gazebos made according to the classical technology with a pitched roof. If you are interested in these structures, then you are probably thinking about building or updating your own building.

Shed roof project

The options below may give you an idea for building, renovating or making design decisions.

Attached to the house

An economical solution would be to attach a gazebo to your country house or cottage. This will save on building material and the area of \u200b\u200byour site - they take up much less common space than stand-alone ones.

On my site, I decided to attach a gazebo to the dacha. A beam of 100 by 100 was used, classic rafters with a Mauerlat and a roof made of corrugated board.

From ondulin

Relatively new material for the Russian market. It is more expensive than the above options, but in some situations it may be more advantageous against the background of metal counterparts. Country masters very often give preference to onduline, so if you are attracted by this material and the cost is "affordable", then give preference to it.
