Many people dream of a house in the countryside. First you need to decide how the layout of the village house will look like, and only after that start creating the project.

An example of a project and layout of a village house

Having chosen a site, it is necessary to register it with the local municipality, after which, and if something else is being built, then be sure to include it in the project. Now this scheme needs to be carried for approval. The approved project and the documents of the registered site must be submitted to the municipality for approval. Only after approval can construction begin.

The main stages have been passed, but during construction there will be nuances and issues that also need to be addressed. You can order a project of a village house in architectural bureaus or construction company. There are those who can create a building project and implement it. This may be more expensive than hiring multiple developers, but it's easier.

simple country house design

All because the house will be built by one organization, and they most often give finished projects for free. This does not mean that projects are bad. Free in this case is a gift if the house is built by that company. Before the foundation is laid, it is necessary to think about how it will look, taking into account the area of the building itself.

The layout of the house includes:

 1. The height of the house, the number of floors,.
 2. Required heating and sewer pipes.
 3. , if there is one.
 4. The location and size of additional buildings in the courtyard of the house.
 5. Entrance to the house.
 1. Location of rooms on floors.
 2. Pipes. Conducting sewer pipes and pipes for heating.
 3. Location of all windows and doors.
 4. Annex. What size should it be and where should it be located.
 5. The thickness of the walls (it depends on the material from which the house will be).

Maybe.

The project of a village house made of logs with an attic

To do this, you need to know the rules for creating projects. There are many computer programs and online services. Both of them can help. All items mentioned above will need to be included in project being created Houses. All questions must be taken into account. Otherwise, for example, the pipes will not fit into the place allotted to them. Still, it's worth leaving it to the professionals.

Experts know better where it is better to round the corner, and where to make it straight. On their account various projects village houses, projects of one-story private houses and planning projects with an extension, heating and everything else.

Renovation or build

If the house has a basement, then it is necessary to calculate the height of the foundation. Hire an excavator, dig holes for the foundation and sewers. Only after that the foundation is laid according to the project of the house.
After the foundation, the walls of the house are erected. It is necessary to erect them, leaving room for windows and doors.

3D layout of a small village house

The walls inside the house should be built along with the main ones, bearing walls. Wood is often used instead of brick. It will take less time, and you will have to spend a lot of money. Wood as a building material is expensive. The appearance of such houses is amazing and resembles houses in rustic style. Wooden houses are harder to build according to the project. When necessary, a brick can be broken, and a log house with a diameter of half a meter will have to be sawn.

The exterior of the rustic wooden house is just gorgeous. Not everyone will understand this, so the projects of village houses are not very popular. Having gone to the outback, it is easy to find a village house. They are usually many years old. Therefore, such houses with a plot of land are bought either for restoration or rebuilt. If the purchased plot is large enough, then you can put another house on it.

Design and layout of a classic old wooden house

And the procedure with bypassing and collecting the necessary papers will have to be repeated "from and to". If the restructuring of the house begins, then it will be easier with paperwork. First of all, you need to check the strength load-bearing structures, for this it is better to invite a specialist. He will check everything and tell you what needs to be done. It is not difficult to find such a specialist.

It is best to start with the reconstruction of the foundation - for many years it could collapse. Next, you need to check the walls.

Outside, the walls can be covered up, but inside all possible problems will be visible. After checking the walls, it is necessary to check the roof. everything is simpler: its basis is wooden frame. You can figure out whether it is whole or not, just by carefully examining it. Now it remains to decide on the financial part of the issue and calculate future costs.

Construction technology

You can build a house from:

 • panels;
 • aerated concrete blocks;
 • sawdust concrete blocks;
 • expanded clay concrete blocks.

The choice is really big. The price is also very different. Each material for building a house is very different in structure, quality and characteristics, but another difference is in the technology of building a house. Many people love wood, so the technology for building a wooden house will be considered.
There are two types of wood for building a house: a beam and a log. Here it is necessary to consider - a beam is cheaper than a log, but how much it will be needed is unknown.

The log looks much more massive and exclusive. When the foundation is ready for further construction, insulation is laid under the first row, after which the row itself is laid out. All excess insulation sticking out from under the wall can be removed. Further gradually.

At the joints in the logs, grooves are made that are placed on the previous log. For greater stability, a small recess is made along all the logs. It turns out that the log, as it were, falls into the previous one, which gives greater stability to the walls. Logs are tied together at the joints. Each log must be treated with an antiseptic against rotting, mold and the rest. There is a bioseptic and flame retardant - all these tools will help to avoid or get rid of everything that can ruin the tree.

After the end of the collection, when the process has reached the roof, the problem of gaps arises. They can appear even if the logs are the most even and joined, like the details of the designer. To solve the problem, tow is sold in any hardware store. In the old days they used moss, but now there is not so much of it. Often used with tow sticky tape with heat insulating cord. When tamping the tapes into the slot, they need to be twisted together and pushed into the slot with a spatula.

Then carefully grease this seam, and then remove the excess. The problem of heat leakage will be solved.
Roof options are different. You need to choose the one you like best. Most often, they use the simplest and most reliable option. Assembling it according to the drawing will not be a problem. But how to cover the roof of a wooden house - you need to compare prices, quality and opportunities.

Houses made of wood (beams and logs), despite all their advantages, need periodic repairs - this applies to even the most durable buildings built in accordance with all the rules. More than half wooden houses the private sector has been inherited by the current owners from previous generations, and have a solid track record of use. But even if the age of the house has exceeded fifty years, it is still living space, a valuable resource.

Sentimental feelings and the situation on the real estate market do not allow such a structure (often having an unpresentable appearance) to be put up for sale. And it is hardly possible to build new housing with the proceeds from the sale of an old house without additional financial injections. Demolishing a dilapidated house and building a new one in its place is an option, for various reasons, not suitable for every family. The next logical step is the reconstruction of the house.

When is a refurbishment needed?

The following signs indicate the need for reconstruction (full or partial):

 • Foundation. The base cracks or begins to collapse (and water, which regularly enters the cracks, will completely destroy it in a couple of years). If the foundation sags, a caulk (seal) may fall out or the seams between the crowns begin to open, cracks form. The porch can change position entrance doors the floor is starting to get dirty, the windows are opening with difficulty. All these signs indicate that the house has an angle of inclination, which can only be straightened out by a major overhaul.
 • Wood condition. The appearance of a wooden wall does not always indicate the magnitude of the problem. It is important to assess the condition of not only the upper layers of logs (beams), but also their inner part.
 • Roof. Almost always in old houses, the roof is a source of problems - leaks and dampness in living quarters. Rafters and floor beams rot and are damaged by fungus or insects.
 • Walls. Often the lower crowns rot, the rest of the wood becomes a breeding ground for mold and woodworm.

Reconstruction: where to start

Any owner of an old wooden house wants to figure out what is more profitable - to repair an existing building or build a new one. When deciding whether they need a renovation of an old house, they are based on several factors:

 • Finance. Although building a new home is more expensive than refurbishing, overhaul will also require a fair amount.
 • Time. It is important to understand by what date all work must be completed (before the start of autumn rains)
 • The technical condition of the house. An important parameter that determines the previous points. For the analysis, you need to involve a professional.

A competent specialist will determine not only the deterioration of the building (which the owners can do); he will find out:

The truss system has become unusable Source raflon.ru

A professional builder will help estimate the scope of work; whether the reconstruction will be complete, partial or meaningless (when it is worth considering the construction of new housing). In any case, the final decision is made taking into account his opinion.

Preparing for reconstruction: problem areas

When inspecting the house, it may be necessary to:

 • replace the foundation (partially or completely) or strengthen it (remove cracks, strengthen the basement);
 • replace defective logs (bars) of the lower row (lower crown);
 • replace wall fragments;
 • restore the roof with the replacement of rafters and roofing;
 • partially repair or completely re-lay the floor;
 • partially or completely replace communications (pipes, electrical wiring);
 • install drainage system;
 • replace windows and doors.

As a rule, during the reconstruction:

 • wooden elements of the house are impregnated protective compounds(antiseptic and flame retardant);
 • walls are insulated (on the inside), floor, roof;
 • the outer surface of the walls is restored (sanded, primed, impregnated with an antiseptic and varnished or painted).
It is important! Very often, during reconstruction work, unforeseen problems arise. For example, when replacing a floor, rotten pipes are found, when replacing a roof, there is a lack of insulation. No one can foresee this until the final skin is removed, so you need to be prepared for unforeseen expenses.

Reconstruction: stages

Many owners of old wooden houses do not even know how to change their housing. , engaged in repair and reconstruction, have accumulated extensive experience in working with the most dilapidated and neglected buildings. When the reconstruction of a village house is discussed, the project changes its shape more than once.

With any development of events, the restoration of the house goes through several stages:

On our site you can find contacts of construction companies that offer the service of reconstruction and restructuring of houses. You can directly communicate with representatives by visiting the exhibition of houses "Low-Rise Country".

Project and budget, procurement of materials and preparatory work

During the assessment of the condition of the house, specialists take the necessary measurements. After that, project documentation is drawn up, which presents:

 • condition and defects of structural elements;
 • work plan (calculations and estimates);
 • terms of work;
 • 3D model of the house (a visual way to see the change in the facade, interior redevelopment and style of finishing work).

When reconstructing a house with an increase in area, the wishes of the owners are a priority Source otdelka-fazendi.ru

In preparation terms of reference the opinion of the owners is taken into account. Homeowners can decide:

 • increase the area of the house or carry out redevelopment;
 • build an extension (for a garage, a veranda) or a terrace;
 • equip the attic;
 • equip a sanitary unit, conduct water or sewerage;
 • add comfort and install a stove or fireplace;
 • conduct decorative cladding facade (siding, clapboard, timber imitation, block house);
 • additionally insulate the house;
 • carry out landscape design of the yard.

The company is engaged in the preparation of permits for the relevant organizations and provides home owners with a detailed budget, including:

 • selection of materials and calculation of their quantity and cost (determined by measurements);
 • transport costs;
 • price repair work;
 • possibility of unexpected expenses.

For significant completion, the material is purchased with a margin. Source kor-san.ru

Materials are purchased in a volume that is 5-10% larger than the calculated one. During preparatory work dismantle building elements that require alteration or replacement (roof, walls and internal partitions).

Foundation

Reconstruction of an old wooden house starts from the foundation. The foundation is one of the most common problems of old buildings, since at one time it was made as economically as possible and with technological violations (under the weight of the structure, such a structure sinks deep into the ground). Most often, under wooden houses "with experience" a strip or column foundation is found, often located above the freezing level. To assess the scope of work, they examine the outer part of the foundation, if necessary, dig out the buried part. Sometimes there is no foundation, and the base is laid on the ground

The strip foundation is reinforced or a new foundation is poured. To do this, it is necessary to raise the box with jacks, dismantling the floor and lining. For a columnar foundation, the best solution would be to install additional piles that can redistribute the weight of the structure.

The box of the house is lifted to gain access to the foundation Source salvadordali26.ru

Crowns and walls

Half a century ago, when building houses, few people thought about observing building rules and equipped reliable waterproofing between the foundation and walls. The lower crowns of wooden dwellings were freely saturated with moisture, rotted and gradually fell into disrepair.

The replacement of the crowns is carried out simultaneously with the reconstruction of the foundation, when the box is hung out. Logs or beams prepared for replacement are treated with an antiseptic; waterproofing is being installed between the new crowns and the base. When restoring walls, the elements located around the windows most often need to be replaced. Also, the upper crowns often suffer from moisture penetrating through the roof and accumulating in the insulation.

Roof

Roof repairs go in two ways:

 • Roof reconstruction. Complete overhaul carried out if the owners want to increase the area of the house by planning an extension or an insulated attic.
 • Revision. The elements of the roofing system are inspected, the destroyed ones (with traces of rot) are replaced. The most common place for leakage is a chimney.

Old slate is replaced with a suitable modern material (which is mainly determined by its weight), heat and waterproofing of the attic is carried out.

Exterior finish

Owners of a wooden house can go two ways:

 • Restoration of the wall surface. To emphasize the natural beauty of wood, modern facing materials are not used. The walls are put in order with a brush or grinder with a special nozzle. The surface cleaned from dirt and perennial deposits is impregnated with an antiseptic and fire retardant. The use of varnish or paint will show the structure of the wood, even out the shades of old and new fragments and additionally protect the surface.
 • Finishing work. Finishing wooden facade(often with insulation) serves as additional protection for the walls, helps to keep warm and at the same time transforms the house unrecognizably. Popular finishing materials stands out siding, plaster, block house, PVC panels. Walls can be lined with bricks, clinker panels, porcelain tiles.

Floor, windows and doors, ceiling

The floor in a wooden house (especially if it is built directly on the ground) is a very vulnerable structure. Depending on the state, carry out:

 • Repair. If the boards and logs are in a satisfactory condition (less than 30% damaged), the damaged parts of the flooring are changed, hydro- and thermal insulation is carried out.
 • Replacement. Old wood flooring disassemble (if the foundation was being repaired, the floor has already been dismantled), the logs are changed. Then a waterproofing film is laid, a layer of thermal insulation (for example, basalt wool); logs are covered with a vapor barrier film. The board is on top. Sometimes a cement screed is made under the finishing floor.

Worn-out window and door systems are replaced with new ones; they can be wooden or metal-plastic. Ceiling repair is a must if the beams are deformed; usually new wooden floors are installed.

And a traditional Japanese house is incomparable to the provincial style of a French village.

The unifying moments of all the houses of rural residents are the naturalness of materials, the simplicity of finishing and household items and decor made by hand. Most often, objects of arts and crafts were used, since any thing, even the most exquisite, for example, a knitted tablecloth or embroidered towels, had quite practical use.

In Russian village houses that were located in the forest area, the house itself, furniture: beds, tables, benches and chests were made of strong durable wood.

In mountainous areas, in the construction of the house and in the interior, solidity was emphasized with the help of stone.

Natalya and her husband Grigory bought a plot with an old hut in the village of Klinok, Chervensky district, in the summer of 2014. The village is located next to the Volma fish farm, surrounded by picturesque nature: around the lake, fields and forests.

This is what the old house looked like

The desire to buy a house in the village appeared a long time ago. Prior to this, the family shared the parental home with the husband's sister for a long time. And then luck smiled at them: a plot was being sold down the street. Having decided that this opportunity should not be missed, Natalya and Grigory, having calculated their finances, purchased it.

The acquisition was not in the best condition: rickety gates and fences, a yard overgrown with weeds, a dilapidated barn, says Natalia.

The house had high thresholds, creaking and creaking floors, ten layers of wallpaper with crowds of insects crawling behind it, moss-covered slate on the roof. The house itself was divided into two large rooms with a stove in the center.

Dismantling the old barn

First of all, they demolished the shed and the outbuilding that served as the senets. We got out of the house. Removed excess. They also cleaned up the area in their spare time. I was already retired by this time, so I stayed at the dacha for the whole summer, doing gardening. Husband, Grigory, son Aleksey and daughter Olga with their family came for the weekend. Everyone contributed to the improvement of the house.

They decided to demolish the shed completely, instead of it they built a dredging house, in which we stack firewood, boards and various things that may be useful in the household.

In 2015, the "restoration" continued. The site was surrounded by a metal fence. To the house from the side of the garden, where the senets were located, an extension was made of blocks, 6 × 6 meters. Now here is the kitchen, pantry and hallway. Inside, the extension was sheathed with clapboard. The old slate was replaced with a new one.

A summer shower was built behind the dryer: a small cabin covered with oilcloth, on top - a large barrel (now it has been redone, instead of oilcloth, the cabin has been surrounded by cellular polycarbonate). During the day, the water heats up, in the evening you can rinse. A small building with two compartments was built nearby: a toilet in one, a shed in the second, in which everything necessary for the garden is stored.

Over time, they brought water and made a sewer, made a veranda 6 × 2 meters. There is now a toilet, just like in the city.

Inside the old part of the house, the floor was re-laid, the walls were sheathed with clapboard, new windows were installed, and the stove was redone.

Outside, the house was insulated and sheathed with siding.

There is always order in the garden and the beds constantly delight the family with a good harvest.

For the family, the dacha has become a pleasant place where you can have a great time and relax from the bustle of the city.

With a lot of undeniable advantages, wooden houses are an expensive pleasure, so not everyone can build or buy such a “nest” for themselves. However, a house with "experience" can be inherited or purchased much cheaper, although its condition will be far from satisfactory. Reconstruction of a wooden house will make it suitable for comfortable living and return to its original form. And how to continue and how to finish, will be prompted by FORUMHOUSE users who have experience working with wood and are engaged in the reconstruction of their own households.

Problem areas of wooden houses

The age of the bulk of the wooden houses of the secondary housing stock is approaching half a century or has already exceeded this indicator, which inevitably leads to decrepitude of the main units. If mistakes were made during construction or technology was violated, then certain parts of the structure become completely unusable. It has great importance mode of operation - lived in the house permanently, or he winter period heated from time to time and serviced at the same frequency. Based on these conditions, the following work may be required:

 • complete or partial replacement foundation or its strengthening;
 • replacement of the lower rims;
 • full or partial replacement individual elements or large wall segments;
 • repair or replacement of the roofing system;
 • exterior finish.

Even if during the initial inspection it seems that it is easier to demolish than to try to restore, you should not despair, it is not for nothing that the leitmotif of the portal users is the proverb “The eyes are afraid, but they do it”.

The lion's share of the houses is visually in a terrible state, but in fact the logs are still strong, and the wood under the layers is beautiful, and the reconstruction will take less time and money than a new construction site.

Reconstruction of an old wooden house: foundation

Age wooden houses are characterized by a strip or column foundation. It is very rare if the tape is flooded to the freezing depth, basically it is a shallow deepening, which over time, under the weight of the structure, decently drowned in the ground. The scope of work depends on the condition of the foundation. To assess it, a thorough inspection of the aerial part, if any, is carried out, and the buried elements are dug out and examined. The portal user and part-time head of the team involved in the repair and replacement of the foundations of wooden buildings, Igor Bekkerev, classified the possible scope of work in this way.

Igor Bekkerev FORUMHOUSE member, foreman

The main task of the foundationThis is to transfer the load from the house to the ground. There are various defects in the foundations, there are also different ways repair. It can be one type of work or more often you have to use a complex.

 • Insulation of the foundation and blind area;
 • Foundation waterproofing;
 • Drainage works (water disposal);
 • Strengthening the foundation with an armored belt from above;
 • Strengthening the foundation with an external armored belt;
 • Replacing the foundation with hanging the building or moving the building;
 • Leveling a foundation or leveling a building on a foundation.

To gain access to the foundation, the box is raised to the required height - hung out, its movement is less often used. Used for lifting hydraulic jacks, the walls are lifted alternately, or the whole box at once. Due to the ability of wood to withstand certain deformations, if performed correctly, this operation does not violate the integrity of the house. Based on the state of the foundation and the proposed work, the jacks are installed directly on the base (strip foundation) or on the ground, on a previously laid thick board or other support. The number of jacks on the wall depends on the dimensions of the box; cuts are made under the jack in predetermined places.

Usually a team of several people is hired for such work, but even one skilled craftsman is able to raise a wooden house in a short time. With such a professional forum member was lucky Arty-CooL in charge of the reconstruction log cabin. in a normal state, but it was decided to strengthen it, build it up and immediately fill in a new contour for the extension.

Arty-CooL Member of FORUMHOUSE

Today we completed the lifting of the house and the replacement of the lower crown, the master worked alone, after work I tried to help, although, probably, I distracted from work more. When replacing the crown, overlapping logs were simultaneously cut into the new crown. I did it in 3 days, that's how the masters work!

User family GriNats in such a situation, she managed without the involvement of craftsmen - her husband and sons were used as labor force. The foundation was shallow, rubble, after hanging the box, it was partially dismantled, a new wide tape was poured, and then the basement part was laid out of brick.

GriNata FORUMHOUSE Member

The foundation there is rubble, quite shallow, 40-50 cm, on the outer corner the house apparently began to sag, a rubble was taken out from under the corner and replaced with facing bricks. When we got it out of there, it crumbled into small shards. The lower two crowns are just rubbish, we raked out part of the rubble, put up the formwork, poured it and laid brickwork.

To strengthen the foundation with an external armored belt around the perimeter, a monolithic reinforced concrete tape is poured. The depth of the tape exceeds the depth of the old foundation by the size of a sand and gravel cushion, the average width is 40-50 cm. The surface of the old base is carefully cleaned, all peeling elements are removed. To increase adhesion with the new mortar, the foundation is impregnated with a primer with high penetrating power. As a binder, reinforcing pins are used, driven into the old foundation at a distance of 20–25 cm, in several rows. With a new frame, the pins are welded or tied, the mortar is poured into the formwork in layers.

The replacement of the foundation is carried out in stages or immediately, in the first case, the old foundation is dismantled in parts, with the gradual pouring of new fragments. In the second case, everything is dismantled at once, a monolithic tape is poured, poles are cast or piles are twisted. Forum user under the nickname Andryukha052 proposed a phased replacement, but he preferred a simultaneous one, being afraid possible problems with foundation in the future.

Andriukha052 Member of FORUMHOUSE

It was proposed to remove the logs between the pillars, dig trenches between the pillars and pour the foundation there, lay out the masonry between the pillars, put the house on the masonry. Then remove the pillars, dig trenches under the pillars and pour - connect the masonry. I didn’t really like this idea, the foundation will turn out from several sections. If there are any movements in the ground, everything may crack. Even if nothing happens, but I thought it was better to play it safe. Therefore, the house was hung on U-shaped supports, everything was removed at once, a single tape was poured and a single masonry was made.

Reconstruction of an old house: crowns

The lower crowns of wooden houses rot, gradually being saturated with moisture through the foundation. This happens both due to the lack of a waterproofing layer, and due to technology violations. Several members of the forum encountered a strange way to protect a log from water, including val-lel.

val-lel FORUMHOUSE Member

My log houseBuilt in the 50s, on the foundation tape there was just waterproofing between the log and the base, but! Along the first crown, the edges of this waterproofing were raised and attached to the log itself, and the segment between the foundation and the crown, with the edges of the waterproofing neatly nailed to it, was« carefully spanked» cement mortar along the entire first crown, both outside and inside, apparently so that the log does not move anywhere.

The replacement of crowns is usually carried out together with foundation work, when hanging the box. Whenever possible, materials are used that are as close as possible to the original ones - a log or timber, some replace rotten parts brickwork. Arty-CooL used sleepers.

Arty-CooL

I put the sleepers because I got them for free, and it’s easier to work with them (although I didn’t do it), under the weight of the house they won’t go anywhere, and I’ll mount galvanized studs into the foundation, and I’ll plant a house on them. The cost of concrete by volume of sleepers will definitely be more expensive.

When choosing a material to replace the crowns, they mainly start from the intended finish layer - under the siding, the brick can also be hidden. If it is planned to leave the walls in the original version, the new segments should be as close as possible to the existing ones.

Between the foundation and the new crowns, waterproofing is necessarily laid, the wood is pre-treated with an antiseptic.

Reconstruction of the walls of a wooden house

In addition to crowns, other parts of the structure may need to be replaced when the wood is exposed to moisture. Most often this happens with the upper crowns, if the roof is leaking and water accumulates in the insulation. It is also common for the wall around the windows to get wet, although the wood may appear intact from the outside.

Etanol FORUMHOUSE Member

One point that it would not hurt to pay attention to is the logs under the windows. If windows in winter« wept» , logs could rot. Moreover, I saw such that the log rotted from the inside, and from the outside it was completely good wood, only drilling diagnosed rot.

serwid Member FORUMHOUSE

It happened to me when I changed windows in my house to plastic ones. After I dismantled the old ones, I had to make inserts, since the log under the window had rotted away, but it was not visible from the outside.

You can detect rot in externally normal wood by tapping it with the butt of an ax or a hammer - a rotten filling gives a dull sound, a whole log - ringing. As an alternative to drilling, an awl is used - it will not enter into a normal tree by more than a few millimeters, into a rotten one - it will sink without resistance.

Replacing one element of the box or part of the wall is carried out in pieces - damaged ones are cut out, new ones are inserted, all cracks are necessarily sealed, the wood is pre-processed, as well as the tie-in points. To save time and money, one of the users did the following.

AlexeyTsvetkov Member of FORUMHOUSE

I cut all the rot from the inside with a chainsaw to« alive» wood, impregnated with an antiseptic 2 times and drove inside an antiseptic bar, cut to size« hollow» and stitched with lnovatin, then fixed with 150 mm self-tapping screws on both sides.

Roof reconstruction

Reconstruction of a wooden house for many is an opportunity to increase its area not only through an extension, but also by turning an old cold attic - diameter from 150 to 200 mm, with edged board 50x200 mm.

If there is no need in the attic, you can get by with an audit of the roofing system and replacing elements that have rotted due to leakage or accumulation of condensate. Particular attention is paid to the withdrawal area chimney. In most cases, this is where leakage and damage to floors occurs.

Given that old slate does not add charm to the design, it is usually changed to and usually requires insulation of floors and under-roof space. When additional premises are attached to the house on a rigid ligament, the old roof is completely redone in order to bring the entire structure under the new one.

Arty-CooL

I plan to attach part of the house to the entire length, 2.5-3 meters wide, thereby making the house square, and there will be a single mansard roof with living quarters.

Exterior finish

To preserve the natural beauty of a wooden house, they refuse to use siding and other facing materials. The walls that have darkened over the years, with various deposits on the surface, are put in order - they are cleaned with a brush and impregnated with special bleaching antiseptic compounds.

It is most convenient to carry out the processing with the help of a grinder and a special nozzle - a brush with iron bristles. All dirt and layers in this way cannot be removed from wood, but significantly improved appearance and show the structure realistically. In the future, you can use wood varnish or paint: tinting agents will level the surface, and new elements will no longer attract attention. Like cladding, paints and varnishes are not only decorative, they effectively protect the surface from external influences.
