The sauna house combines 2 functions at once - a wooden steam room and a classic country house. Its main advantages are ergonomics, durability and aesthetics.

Anyone wishing to build a country house with a bathhouse under one roof, the projects should be carefully studied.

Harmonious structure

There are 2 options for the construction of such buildings:

  • initial construction of the complex;
  • extension of a steam room to an already built dwelling.

Bath on the attic floor

Having chosen option 2, you need to pay special attention:

  • ventilation;
  • waterproofing (the home must be well dried and ventilated);
  • the construction of an extension (for this purpose, the use of a kitchen wall is recommended).

Note! If a single complex is being built, then communications should also be uniform.

4 types of combination

Combining a steam room with housing can have the following options:

  • the location of the bath in the basement;
  • combination with a bathroom;
  • a rooftop bathhouse;
  • addition of a bath to the dwelling.

The last option is not the most popular and successful one. It requires additional communications.

The main stages of work

Having chosen a project, you must:

  1. Inspect the site carefully.
  2. Make the necessary measurements.
  3. Carry out all calculations.
  4. Bring the project to life.

Construction stages look like this:

  1. Laying the foundation.
  2. Walling.
  3. Roof erection.
  4. Filling the screed.
  5. Interior decoration.

Laying the foundation

The reliability and durability of the home depends on the foundation. In the place where the extension is planned, the foundation of the dwelling is opened. At the same level, a new foundation is being laid.

The best option for the foundation for a 1-storey wooden house - monolithic tape. Its depth is 0.5 m. The width is 300 mm.

Bath interior decoration

For a brick and block house, a full-fledged base is created that can withstand a heavy load.

Important! The foundations of the dwelling and the baths are laid separately.

Base parameters depend on:

  • wall structures;
  • bearing load;
  • type of building materials.

The stages of building a foundation look like this:

  1. Determine the location of the bath.
  2. Drive pegs around the perimeter.
  3. Using the pegs as a guide, tighten the construction twine.
  4. Set aside the width of the foundation.
  5. Install cast-off.
  6. Pull the 2nd twine line.
  7. Check the diagonals and accuracy of right angles (preferably using a rangefinder and a laser level).
  8. Dig a trench according to the markings. If a central sewage system is installed in the house, then the trench must be drawn to the nearest insert into the tube. Otherwise, it is carried out to drain pit, which is settled separately from the home.
  9. If the soil is sandy, install a temporary formwork. It helps prevent the walls from shedding to the bottom. Internal walls formwork is laid with roofing material or film.
  10. Mount the pipe in the trench under the communications, fill it with sand and soil. The trench under the base is covered with sand (coarse) and gravel (2/3). Then you need to moisten the backfill with water and tamp well.
  11. Lay connected reinforcement rods into the trenches, fix the frame with clamps made of plastic.
  12. Pour concrete, level, dry. Carry out waterproofing with roofing felt or bitumen mastic.

It is advisable to lay the foundation in summer or early autumn. It should dry well and stand for 3 weeks.

In winter, screw piles are used for the foundation.

Features of the construction of walls

The principle of their construction depends on the type of building material used. If applicable wooden bar, it is necessary to "seat" him correctly.

If the house is built of bricks, the walls can be either brick or made of foam blocks. The cost of the second option is much lower.

If the steam room is attached to the dwelling, it is necessary to remember the correct docking. The use of a bunch of reinforcing rods is recommended. Docking with their help is done like this:

  1. Drill holes into the walls for reinforcement pieces.
  2. Drive in the rods so that their opposite end goes into the masonry of the extension walls.

The walls of the bathhouse should rise 1-2 bricks below the height of the walls of the house.

The wrong approach to docking can lead to the fact that the steam room "moves away" from the home. It will look ugly and there will be many problems.

Bath with a veranda

Features of the construction of the roof

The main requirement for the roof when combining a living space with a bath is integrity.

Failure to meet this criterion can lead to the destruction of the entire structure.

The roof should be two or four-pitched. Before erecting it, you need to determine whether the structure requires an attic or an attic. If required, then first you need to build this particular part of the house.

The optimal material for the roof is asbestos-cement slate. You can also use metal tiles or galvanized profiles. For these materials, you will need a regular frame with logs made of wood.

When erecting a roof, you must:

  • calculate its height;
  • to design a system of chimneys and hoods;
  • design a system of ebbs and snow holders. It is hung immediately.

Number of chimneys - 2: for home and steam room.

The highest point of the roof should be adjacent to the wall of the dwelling and go under the main roof. When installing ceiling slabs, a bar is used. Its parameters are 10/10 cm. You can also use a board placed on the edge. Its width should be the same.

A crate is made from the lower and upper parts of the beams. Thermal insulation and vapor barrier are laid in it. The angle of inclination when installing the roof rafters should be 20%.

All gaps and cracks formed in the place where the slate adjoins the wall of the dwelling must be sealed with polyurethane foam.

Panoramic steam room

Building insulation and internal work

Mineral wool is used for insulation. The advantages of this material include:

  • fire resistance;
  • ease of installation;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • democratic prices;
  • lack of interaction with high humidity.

In order to reduce heat loss, mineral wool is used to protect walls both inside and outside.

Additional materials used for wall decoration include wood - oak or pine.

The floor in the room is equipped by pouring the screed. In this case, it is necessary to observe the slope in the direction of the steam room drain pipe.

The drain pipe is located in the central part of the room. It must have an outlet to a cesspool. If the soil is sandy, the pit should be located directly under the steam room. Dimensions - 600/600/600 mm. If the soil is clayey, then the output should be mounted away from the bath. Otherwise, the water will not absorb well.

At the same stage, the drain ladder is installed.

Bath from a bar

In those places where the floor is connected to the walls of the future steam room, it is necessary to make a thorough waterproofing. The recommended method is screening with bitumen. You can also make a gasket of any waterproofing material.

For additional insulation, you can use penoplex or expanded clay.

The final stage is the installation of the equipment necessary for the operation of the steam room:

  • wiring to outlets;
  • special furniture;
  • wiring to lighting fixtures;
  • ovens.

If the steam room is an extension to the dwelling

During construction, you must adhere to the following recommendations:

  1. In the project of the extension, it is necessary to indicate the materials that will be used during construction, describe the transition from the house to the steam room and clarify the layout inside the bath.
  2. The main requirement for the foundation is lightness. It should be of the same type as under the living area.
  3. Doorways are low, their threshold is high. This will help keep the steam room warm. The main door should lead to the vestibule.
  4. The walls inside the steam room are hydraulically insulated with vapor-reflecting foil. The top of the wall must be sheathed with linden clapboard. It can be replaced with any other material of suitable quality.
  5. The pipe is insulated. It is required to bring it in the opposite direction from the wall of the housing. Otherwise, during the firebox, smoke will penetrate into the home.
  6. Conducting communications - right from home. Pipes and wiring are routed through a common wall or through the foundation under the steam room. Bath layout is performed by any in a convenient way... It is advisable to conduct the water separately. You can also make a well on the site.

Important! The tambour should be through. This reduces the risk of heat loss by 80%.

If the vestibule is separate, then additional insulation must be done. There are benches and a clothes rack in this room.

Country house and sauna

Log house + sauna - comfort and aesthetics

The set of the log house varies. In 90% of cases, this is a completely finished structure.

The best option is to buy a project of a dwelling with a steam room from a bar.

Guest house-bath

  • SIP panels;
  • brick;
  • timber;
  • foam concrete blocks;
  • log;
  • aerated concrete blocks.

The layout in such a house can be any. On the 2nd floor, guests are usually accommodated, on the 1st floor - a living room, a hall and a bath complex. If the land plot is large, then the building can only be one-story.

Ideally, the residential part of the guest house-baths accounts for up to 60% of the building. About 40% of the room goes to the steam room.

The advantages of a bath house

The main advantages of building a bath house:

  • comfort;
  • minimum cash costs (the presence of a bath allows the arrangement of a rest room);
  • saving space (relevant for owners of a small plot that does not imply the presence of additional outbuildings);
  • no additional costs for maintaining and maintaining the steam room (a separate bath house wears out very quickly. This is due to extreme internal temperature jumps).

In addition, the “built-in” bathhouse can be used as a dryer.

Conclusion

The main disadvantage is the need to follow the recommendations fire safety... Particularly stringent requirements are imposed on wooden structures.

If the engineering and technical standards are not met, the humidity inside the room increases. This leads to the appearance of mold and mildew. Against this background, structures are deformed, network engineering and finishing materials.

According to insurance companies, combining a house with a sauna is life-threatening. The terms of the insurance policy are becoming very stringent.

Do you want to make a bath in the house? Be prepared to fulfill serious requirements and non-standard surroundings, since the options for connecting such a room with a living room are quite unusual. True, for the pleasure of going to the bathhouse by the shortest route you will have to "pay" by observing the special rules for operating the building.

Nuances of designing a house with a bath

A house with a bathhouse can appear in one of two ways: at the design stage of a residential building or after its construction as an extension from either side. The latter happens most often.

Usually a bathhouse appears after the construction of a residential building

To combine a house with a bath, you will have to take certain measures:

Options for combining a house with a bath

The dilemma "how to connect a bath with a house" is solved by the most in interesting ways, among which the use of the veranda, the reconstruction of the first floor, the arrangement of the gazebo and the organization of the pool occupy an honorable place.

Sauna with a veranda under one roof

Dreams of a separate entrance to the bathhouse, made inside the house, are destined to come true if the transition between the two rooms is designed in the form of a closed and glazed veranda. With this approach to business, winter can never spoil the mood of lovers of bath procedures.

The "bath plus veranda" project is rather complicated and requires a lot of money. It implies the purchase and installation of high-quality double-glazed windows, the protection of walls with heat-insulating material, the laying of non-slip tiles on the floor and the use of heating equipment.

A bathhouse with a glazed veranda is a real find for those who do not want to return home from the bathhouse across the street, where it can be cold

A bathhouse with a veranda can be arranged so that one exit from it leads to the house, and the other leads directly to the street. This option is especially attractive for those who like to cool the body warmed up in the steam room in a snowdrift or just refresh it in the cool air.

By combining the bath with the veranda, it will be possible to save on construction, since only three walls will need to be erected for the bath room. But the biggest plus of such a project is the convenient location of the bath, as if at some distance from the house, which guarantees complete silence and tranquility for those who like to steam.

The bathhouse, separated from the house by a veranda, will give steam room lovers precious peace.

Bath and house together

You can connect a bathhouse with a house in three forms:

Those interested in placing a bath on the ground floor of the house may like the layout, which frees from the need to create a separate recreation room and toilet. With this arrangement of rooms, it will be possible to organize a steam room and a dressing room with a shower, as well as become the owner of a terrace, ideal for spending time in the fresh air.

A bath in the house can be done next to the kitchen and bathroom

Another advantageous layout option for a house with a sauna inside implies the absence of a terrace and a 15 m² pool. Such a two-story building is deprived of a recreation room, but it provides a spacious dining room and living room.

The described structure can be called special, because the second floor of the attic type is not located above the bath room. Such delimitation of rooms and baths significantly reduces the cost of creating steam, hydro and thermal barriers for floors between floors.

On the ground floor of the house you can place both a bathhouse and a swimming pool

Combining a bath with a gazebo

Connect a bathhouse with a gazebo, which is considered very original decision, you can use an intermediate link - a gazebo. With this room, the owners of the sauna inside the house will protect themselves from the winter cold and will be able to enjoy increased comfort.

It is better to make a single whole out of three buildings after discussing this issue with the architect, since the gazebo, house and bathhouse are not at all similar to each other in terms of design complexity and purpose.

The gazebo can serve as a transition from the bath to the house

To make the gazebo in the complex with the bathhouse and the house convenient and comfortable, you should take note of some tips:

  • the best option for a gazebo combined with a bath is a closed or even glazed room with huge windows for the unhindered penetration of natural light;
  • the floors in the gazebo between the house and the bathhouse should be wooden, not tiled or stone, exuding cold and sliding underfoot;
  • heating, water supply and electricity at home and baths in order to save resources, it is advisable to combine gazebos with communications, which will only benefit from this by becoming warm;
  • the ventilation of the gazebo, standing close to the bath, must be thought out to the smallest detail, otherwise moisture will accumulate in it.

A gazebo and a bathhouse, connected to each other by a wall and a pitched roof, are most suitable for combining with a house.

A house in a complex with a bathhouse and a gazebo looks like something exotic

Sauna with a pool under one roof

To own a bathhouse, combined with a swimming pool, would be desirable for everyone with whom people constantly visit.

In a room with a steam room, you can safely create both a stationary and a mobile pool. For the construction of the first, it will be necessary to dig a pit of considerable depth, lay sewer pipes in the ground and install filters for water purification, and for the appearance of the second, nothing grandiose will have to be done.

The house, together with a bathhouse and a swimming pool, is a very real object

Any playground in the bath can become a place for the pool. But experts strongly advise equipping a bath room with an artificial reservoir in a two-story building. Moreover, on the first tier of the house, they recommend creating a steam room and a swimming pool, and on the second - a spacious relaxation room.

Combining a bath with a swimming pool, one must bear in mind that nothing good will come of it without good waterproofing. Allowing moisture to penetrate to the upper floor, the owner of the house will quickly face a serious problem - the appearance of fungus on the floors.

It is important that the house with a bath and a pool is well waterproofed

In the project of a bath with a pool, there must be a staircase to the second floor - compact, spiral or wide classic. The form of particular importance does not, it is only important that this object is wooden.

It is advisable to put the stairs only inside the building. There is absolutely no need for this object to be outside, because in winter, climbing up it after a steam room or swimming in the pool, a person runs the risk of catching a cold.

Inside the house with a sauna and a pool, it does not interfere with making a shower

The bathhouse in which the pool is built may well be equipped with a shower room, a room for firewood or other fuel, and a storage room. It is better to place a shower room closer to the pool, and this is quite logical: after bathing in chlorinated water, the body should be rinsed.

Features of the roof of a house with a bath

By closing the house and the bathhouse with one roof, the owner of the buildings gets a big advantage - the opportunity to save on building materials.

With a combined construction, the roof simply must be solid. Otherwise, the building will quickly lose its solidity.

It is reasonable to build one roof of two or four slopes over two buildings for different purposes, since it will never fail in protecting a complex structure from atmospheric precipitation.

The gable roof over the bathhouse and the house unites different buildings into a single ensemble

In the case of the appearance of a bath as an extension to a residential building, the choice is made between a single-pitched and a gable roof. When the decision is made in favor of a roof with one slope, its highest part is placed almost close to the wall of the house and is brought under the roof of the house.

Before the construction of the roof frame, common for the bathhouse and the house, it is determined whether there is a need for an attic or an attic. If you cannot do without a room directly under the roof, then they begin to build it right there, and not after the construction of the entire rafter system... Acting in this direction, carefully calculate the height of the roof both above the bathhouse and above the house.

During the construction of the roof frame, which simultaneously covers several buildings, prudently leave two holes: one for the chimney of the house, and the other for the smoke outlet of the bath.

A house with a bathhouse cannot have less than two chimneys

Any material is ready to serve as a topcoat for a roof common for a bathhouse and a house. However, according to people with experience in this matter, it is cheaper and easier to create roofing decking from galvanized sheets or metal shingles.

A bathhouse inside the house, unlike a separate building, does not need large funds for maintenance. There is a simple explanation for this: a bath room in a complex with a residential building does not suffer from a sharp change from heat to cold and vice versa.

However, finding a bathhouse inside the house is fraught with a serious threat - the walls of the building run the risk of becoming covered with fungus due to strong air humidification. Along with this, the house may appear and bad smell... The only way to save the building from such a “disease” is to ventilate the bath after each use.

By opening a window or door in the bath after all the procedures, it will be possible to avoid big problems with the service life of a residential building

More terrible than spoiled air and dampness can only be the poisoning of the inhabitants of the house carbon monoxide... Therefore, in the bathhouse combined with the house, it is required to create good forced or natural ventilation. The latter can be a hole for air flow above or below the oven. And the hole that draws out the exhaust oxygen is made under the shelf.

The place for the exhaust outlet or device is usually found as low as possible in relation to the heating installation. Otherwise, the bath will lose the hot air that accumulates at the top of the room.

The sauna hood is created under the shelf, next to the floor

If it is impossible to equip the steam room with a hood, then you can find a good replacement for it - a 10-15 cm gap left between the door and the floor, or a small window at the bottom of the room, which will open if necessary.

The bathhouse created on the basement floor is usually equipped with a forced ventilation system.

To help the bath get rid of moisture in an accelerated mode, it does not interfere with making a drying hole above the door on the ceiling. It should be kept closed while heating the bath and taking water procedures.

The drying hole in the sauna inside the house removes moisture from the room faster

The bathhouse, which has found a place inside the house, can do without special protection of the walls from the cold. The material that retains heat is placed in the room, taking into account the rules for arranging a steam room.

The house connected to the sauna is heated in the usual way. At the same time, the steam room does not need to be specially heated in winter, because it is reliably insured against freezing.

A bathhouse, heated directly in the house, is supposed to be closely monitored, since it is considered an extremely fire hazardous object.

You can find the meaning of combining a bathhouse with a house, although it seems like a strange decision. Having made a step towards originality, that is, by building a steam room inside the building, it is really possible to paint ordinary weekdays or weekends in a bright color.

With a house under one roof, it is one of the most popular construction projects today. This is due to the functionality of the structure itself, because who does not want to enjoy and relax in their own bathhouse after a hard day, feel the tenderness of steam and the aroma of herbs. As a rule, a bathhouse is erected separately from a residential building, because it needs an individual communication system. But very often it happens that you really want to have a bath, but the land plot does not allow it. The way out of this situation will be with a house under one roof.

This approach also has economic benefits, because on such a project you can save on building materials. A properly developed project of a single complex allows you to live in a house with increased comfort and at the same time enjoy wellness procedures in the bath. Such a house has a special design that fits perfectly into. It is also filled with comfort. Only true professionals can create an integral complex, who will take into account all the requirements of the site owner.

Home and bath options under one roof

A house with a bathhouse under one roof can be erected in two ways: during the initial construction of the entire complex and as an extension to an existing building.

The second option is more common, because, as a rule, many first build a house and only then decide on a bath. With this design, special attention should be paid to:

  • ventilation system. A bath is a high humidity that contributes to the destruction of the construction object. The right design will help you avoid these troubles;
  • waterproofing. The room must be able to dry out and ventilate. This should be taken into account, since in the future, high humidity can be a real disaster;
  • to what place to build an extension. Experts recommend using a kitchen wall for this. With this approach, you can set a single stove, and the bath will dry out much faster;
  • design and sewerage systems.

When building a single complex, it is necessary to create unified communications. Electricity and ventilation shafts will also be part of the structure.

Types of combining a bath with a house

A bathhouse with a residential building can be combined in different ways. When creating the initial project, many envisage the construction of a bath complex on the ground floor. This is the simplest decision, but it should be made at the stage of building design. An extension to the finished building is also possible. The bath is simply attached to the house. The complex itself has its own four walls, but the roof is extended.

And the simplest and most popular option for an extension - a bathhouse with a house has a common wall and roof. This solution is the most optimal in terms of installation. The main problem in such a construction is the presence of different entrances to the house and the bath. In the summer it is completely invisible, but in winter time for many it becomes a real disaster. The solution to this problem is very simple. It is only necessary to the entrance to the bath, which will become connecting link between two rooms.

The cost of such a project will be somewhat different, but the convenience and comfort that it will bring will be appreciated by everyone. There are standard projects for the construction of a single complex. But you can also make a project, observing the individual requirements of the site owner. Typical projects are more popular today, because the creation individual plan time and additional funds are required.

Initial construction of a bathhouse and a house under one roof

When building a bathhouse and a house, the choice of a project should be approached with full responsibility. Perfect solution such a question will be the confidence of planning to real professionals, because they:

  • will inspect the site on which construction is planned, make all the necessary measurements and research;
  • develop a project, observing both technical standards and the wishes of the owner of the future structure;
  • carry out all the necessary calculations and help determine the cost of the project;
  • will select the most acceptable version of the project, making adjustments to it. The complex will perfectly fit into the landscape of the site, will become its decoration;
  • will carry out construction work at a high level, strictly observing regulatory requirements.

The creation of a project of a bathhouse and a house under one roof is carried out in a team manner. Planners, designers, and construction engineers take part in such work. Only this approach allows you to create competent projects that will pleasantly surprise you with their comfort and coziness for many years. Accurate drawings will allow you to quickly and efficiently and on any request. A professionally erected complex will stand for more than a decade without losing its pristine beauty and functionality to the delight of all residents.

The first thing in construction is the foundation

At the time of the construction of any structure, and even more so a full-fledged complex, special attention should be paid to the foundation. It is on him that all the reliability and longevity of future construction depends. When building a bathhouse and a house as a single complex, there are some features, since the steam room has a high humidity. With such an event, the foundation of the house and the bath is laid separately.

The parameters of the foundation itself depend on the construction of the walls, on the type of building material, and the bearing load. With foundation work, it is worth thinking about the future sewage system. All plans and calculations must be carried out before starting construction. A professionally created project takes into account all these nuances, allowing you to build a solid structure.

Walls are another building element

The principle of building walls directly depends on the type of material. it is necessary to remember about its shrinkage. If the bathhouse is attached to the main building, it is worth remembering the correct docking. The wrong approach will lead to the fact that over time the bath will "move away" from the house and will not only look unaesthetic, but also create many problems. When erecting walls, it is also worth remembering the need for windows, because they are a source of light and comfort. The presence of vents is also required. When installing walls, it is very important to know all the secrets. This will ensure the quality of work and the speed of construction progress.

The roof is a very important aspect

When creating a complex, the roof must be complete. Failure to comply with such requirements will lead to the rapid destruction of the entire structure. It is necessary to create a roof project with great attention, since its surface will be large and it is necessary to provide for all the nuances. When calculating its height, it is very important to correctly design a system of ebb and flow, and chimneys.

Bath insulation and internal work

Modern technologies make it possible to warm the room with high quality and beautifully. Many builders use for such purposes mineral wool... This material is popular due to its properties:

  • resistant to fire. It is very important to create fire safety indoors;
  • environmentally friendly material that does not interact with high humidity;
  • affordable cost;
  • simple installation.

Walls are protected with insulation both inside and outside. This significantly reduces heat loss. When using only natural materials. As a rule, it is wood. Pine or oak are considered the best for such purposes, but other species are also suitable.

The construction project, during which the buildings of the bathhouse and the house are located under the same roof, became popular not so long ago, but managed to earn the love of the owners of the site. The building is being erected in conditions of a strong desire to have their own bathhouse and a lack of space on the site.

Advantages and disadvantages of a home with a bath

The design of such a plan is beneficial not only in saving space, but also money. The construction of a combined building takes much less building materialsthan detached buildings. The project of a bathhouse, which is difficult for independent implementation, located under the same roof with a private house, will be feasible if we consider its advantages and disadvantages.
The construction of a combined suburban complex has many advantages:

  • the comfort of the residents. The entrance is located directly in a residential building, which is convenient for its inhabitants.
  • home sauna is an excellent preventive measure against seasonal colds, so it is not only convenient, but also useful.
  • saving materials for construction, because you don't need to build 2 buildings, everything is nearby.
  • in small areas, the structure will be compact, and the location of communications will remain unchanged.

With all the convenience and compactness, such structures have a number of features - strict adherence to fire safety techniques and the rules of engineering and technical standards.

Start of construction works

Before building a bath complex in a house, you should pay attention to design and preliminary preparation.

Nuances of design

Buildings are justified if the owners of suburban real estate take into account the specifics of combining a sauna and a residential building:

  • in wooden structures a vapor barrier is needed so that they do not collapse prematurely;
  • large buildings require the installation of a powerful boiler that runs on electricity or gas fuel;
  • the sewer drain is necessarily thought out, and the costs of pumping water are taken into account;
  • for high-quality draft of the fireplace and steam room, you need to equip two chimneys;
  • the room for water procedures must be finished with tiles and self-leveling floors.

If you take into account all the nuances, you will definitely be able to implement the project with your own hands.

We plan construction

The construction of a bathhouse, combined with a house, begins with determining the type of building. It is equipped as an extension to the main building or laid out with living quarters. The strength of the overall structure creates a strip foundation for the room. The walls are preferably constructed from the same material as the residential building.
Bath complex in a residential building provides the following:

  • a well-thought-out ventilation system (in its absence, moisture from the bath will spread throughout all living rooms, carrying dampness, mold and fungi on the walls).
  • double waterproofing on the walls and both outside and inside the bath.
  • combination with a plumbing unit in the house - saving money on operation.
  • general electrical wiring baths and houses.

When combining both buildings, it is preferable to make a kitchen or a corridor-passage in the room next to the steam room.

Popular project ideas

The owners of their own plots make bath and residential buildings a sign of respectability and comfortable rest. Become one of them - take note of simple planning ideas:

  • steam room with a door leading to the bathroom of the house;
  • a full-fledged sauna with a washroom, a steam room and a relaxation room;
  • sauna with pool or jacuzzi;
  • going outside to plunge headlong into the cool snow.

It is a good idea to equip your home “thermae” with a separate entrance, which will enable its separate, independent use.

Bath complex foundation

A house with a bathhouse under one roof requires special attention to the filling of the foundation. The base should be solid, but built separately from the living quarters. This reduces the likelihood of cracks across the entire base area due to high humidity.

Highlights when pouring a base

When pouring the foundation, it is necessary to lay 2 separate sewer pipes, even if there is a central sewer.
The standard depth of the strip foundation for a one-story building is 0.5 m, and the width is about 30 cm. Pouring should be carried out in the warm season for better solidification of mortars and to avoid cracking.

Foundation laying algorithm

To build a joint with country house bath complex, it is necessary to follow the correct algorithm for carrying out the work. They start with the arrangement of the foundation:

  1. Pegs are hammered along the perimeter of the future base for a landmark.
  2. With the help of landmarks, the construction twine is pulled.
  3. In accordance with the markings, a ditch is dug (30 cm wide, 50 cm deep), with the most even walls. Separately, a trench is being dug under the sewer pipe.
  4. A mixture of crushed stone and sand, 35 cm high, is poured into the bottom of the pit and compacted.
  5. Formwork is hammered from the boards, which is installed along the perimeter of the ditch. This raises the bath foundation 20 cm above the ground.
  6. From the inside, the formwork is waterproofed - covered with a layer of roofing material.
  7. Steel rods are placed on the crushed-stone cushion to reinforce the foundation.
  8. A concrete mixture is poured from above and left until completely hardened.

Construction of walls and windows

A brick-built bath complex will last for many years, if you follow the work scheme correctly. If the bathhouse is being built as an extension to the main house, ensure the perfect joining of the walls and their reliable connection. For this, holes are drilled into which reinforcement rods are inserted, fixed in the wall of the bath.

Typical layout of a bath complex

  • seating benches;
  • brazier with stones;
  • shelves and stands for brooms;
  • ventilation;
  • rest room;
  • steam room;
  • shower or pool.

Based on the number of designs, choose a material.

What materials are used to build a bath?

Combined buildings will give the architecture of the site organicity and completeness. Of all types of building materials, the most popular are:

  • block foam concrete. Its low weight excludes additional foundation reinforcement. The blocks are easily sawn with a hacksaw, but they require the arrangement of vapor barrier and ventilation systems;
  • timber. Wood material characterized by low thermal conductivity and environmental friendliness;
  • brick. Differs in high heat-resistant properties, attractive appearance and the ability to withstand lower temperatures. When building a bathhouse located under the same roof with your house, you need to think about thermal insulation and protection from moisture;
  • a rock. Long lasting and durable. During construction work, it is important to organize a ventilation system of the supply and exhaust type and think over thermal insulation;
  • arbolite. It is a block based on cement, sawdust, organic matter, straw and reeds. The bath complex will receive good strength, sound insulation, slight shrinkage and resistance to temperature fluctuations.

Having completed the main walls and rooms of the sauna, you can proceed to the organization of window systems.

How to make windows?

It is recommended to install windows made of metal-plastic - they are easy to maintain and durable. Remember that each window must be equipped with a vent to ventilate the room. For the steam room, choose heat-resistant elements made of silicate or quartz glass.

Laying roofing

Combined projects of a bathhouse and a residential building should have an integral roof structure... The most stable in use is a roof with a two-, three- and four-slope type. Common roof provides two flue ducts - separately for each structure.

Roof installation instructions

For an independent implementation of the project, it is enough to dwell on gable roof... It is mounted on a rafter frame with an inclination of 20 degrees. A roof covering is installed on the resulting structure. Possible gaps are sealed with polyurethane foam.
The most popular roofing materials are metal tiles and galvanized profiles. Construction activities proceed as follows:

  1. Mauerlat is laid on the erected walls. For him are used wooden beam, fixed with anchors, under which the roll insulator is laid.
  2. On top of the Mauerlat there are ceiling beams with a pitch of 60 cm. Their ends should be longer than the Mauerlat.
  3. Chipboard sheets are mounted on the ceiling piles as a sub-floor.
  4. Support beams are installed that hold the rafters. A transverse bar is fixed on them.
  5. The rafter frame is connected to the ceiling beams and cross-beam using 200 mm nails.
  6. To give the structure stability, the rafters are reinforced with transverse beams.
  7. They make a "building cake" from layers of vapor barrier and heat insulation materials.
  8. The ventilated roof of the bath is reinforced with a wooden crate laid on insulating materials.
  9. The resulting structure is mounted roofing materials, one ridge is formed and storm drains are installed.

Correct installation of the roof ensures good ventilation of the room and prevents the accumulation of excess moisture inside the bath after use.

Arrangement of insulation

Insulation materials produced by modern manufacturers provide high-quality heat retention. Owners of private houses are advised to stay on ecowool or basalt insulation.
Insulation costs will be rational due to the quality of materials:

  • fire safety and resistance to fires, preventing the penetration of fire into residential premises;
  • ecological cleanliness and safety for the organism of residents;
  • prevention of condensation;
  • ease of installation and inexpensive cost.

Insulation is laid on the inside and outside, which minimizes heat loss as much as possible.

Sauna floor and interior decoration

Arrangements for the arrangement of flooring and finishing work are carried out in a comprehensive manner.

Correct screed

By shaping flooring follow a simple technology:

  • the floor screed should be made of concrete with a slight slope towards the drain hole.
  • expanded clay or penoplex is used as insulation for the bath floor.
  • the drain pipe goes into a cesspool or is connected to a central sewage system. Do not place it directly under the bathhouse building, it is better at a distance of about 1-2 m.

The waterproofing material is laid on the walls of the bath from the inside.

Interior decoration

When arranging interior decoration it should be remembered that the room will be exposed to high humidity:

  • low-slip ceramic tiles are traditionally used for flooring.
  • the suburban bath complex is sheathed from the inside with clapboard, sometimes ceramic tileswhich at correct selection looks no less stylish and is durable.
  • at the stage of interior decoration, it is installed inside the room necessary equipment and furniture.
  • create the interior of the bath, guided by personal preferences and tastes.
  • if there is free space in the bath complex, you can equip a mini-pool, as well as a guest room for relaxation after the steam room.

Exterior finishes must match the décor of the home to create a cozy landscape design suburban area.

Modern building design speeds up construction work and, moreover, significantly saves finances. After spending a little time, you will become a happy owner of a personal bath complex, enjoy its coziness and comfort.

On a note! It is imperative to choose the right equipment for the bath. Sauna stoves from the Teplodar company, according to the manufacturer, are of high quality and have high performance properties. It should be noted that the manufacturer manufactures a wide range of products for baths of all types and sizes.

One-story houses are traditionally popular, especially among families with children, because the more floors in the house, the more attentive parents need to be in looking after the kids. In addition, high-rise buildings require significant strengthening of the foundation and floors, which hits the wallet hard and stretches the construction itself in time.
