Chipboard walls are not recommended for plastering. And their covering with clapboard made of natural wood favorably affects the microclimate of the room.

You can use wallpaper, but again, you should first remove a layer of paraffin or wax with an emery cloth, and putty the surface and apply a primer in two layers.
