“This cannot go on any longer, I have nowhere to put my legs (the design of the folding table is appropriate), so think and do what you want,” said the spouse one day, and I had to turn on my imagination and sit down for sketches. But since the table was supposed to be without legs, the only correct decision was to make it in the corner so that it rests on two walls. At the same time, another snag arose: the same folding table, which you get only a few times a year, in the "stowed position" also needs to be put somewhere. Saw cut. Considering the small number of details and the fact that only the main canvas was large, I did not order a whole sheet. I drove up to the shop and for a "small share" - for just over 700 rubles, the guys not only picked up the color I needed from the remains of chipboard, but also cut it out.

T-shaped profile - 2.5 m.
wide plastic corners - 10 pcs. plus two narrow;
sticker mugs - one sheet;
hidden awnings - 8 pcs;
paper edge - 10 m (half remained)
about three dozen confirmations;
fifty screws 16 mm long;
dowels and powerful screws (you can use anchor bolts) for fastening the structure to the wall - 6 pcs;
and a dozen wooden dowels.

a drill-driver for assembly and an impact drill to hang the table on the wall;
6, 8 mm, as well as confidential and victorious drills;
hex and cross bits, as well as a magnetic extension for them;
awl, ruler, tape measure, pencil;
furniture glue: regular thick PVA was perfect;
iron, knife, felt and a bar with sandpaper for pasting parts with an edge;
hammer and mallet.

My least favorite part when assembling cabinetry is the edgebanding. But without it, nowhere, so I glue a piece of paper edge to the part with a hot iron, pressing it well, rub it with a felt bar,

i cut off the excess with a knife and, if necessary, I go through with sandpaper once.

But with the T-shaped profile on the contrary, no hassle: he poured wood glue into the groove, and gently tapping with a mallet, hammered it. When dry, cut off the excess with a sharp knife.

I not only tighten the U-shaped stiffener along the bottom of the table with the same confirmations,

But I also strengthen it with plastic wide (4 holes for screws) corners.

In it, on both sides, which will be adjacent to the walls, I not only make two holes with a 6 mm drill, but also reinforce them on both sides with awnings. Moreover, the narrowing, which is always directed upward when you hang the shelves, in this structure should look down: this is how the load is redistributed from the holes in the chipboard, the strength of which is in doubt, to the entire part.

The main canvas, with the T-shaped that has already dried, I mark the edge, I drill the holes for the dowels. With an 8 mm drill, to a depth of 10 ... 11 mm (the limiter will help you if you are not sure about the firmness of your hand and the sharpness of your eyes), and using the same wood glue, I hammer them in. Also, to make it easier to assemble later, I make holes

I mark the reciprocal holes in the stiffness profile, drill them already "with a margin" in depth. First, I pull the central superstructure to the main canvas with confirmations, and then I attach the stiffener to it.

It seemed to me that the design was not reliable and integral enough. Therefore, with eight more wide corners along the contour from the inside, he pulled the stiffener to the canvas.

The structure is ready, it remains only to pull it to the walls.

However, given the dimensions, and most importantly, its weight, I became depressed: it was not possible to mark the holes for the canopy. Savvy helped: on a folding table, which was supposed to be pushed in and stored there, I put a piece (was at hand) of a 20 mm wooden plate, hoisted the finished structure, leveled and marked the holes.

First you need to install the mount with the leg. Moreover, it is better to hang it a couple of centimeters above the drawn horizontal line on the wall. After that, you need to fix it with dowels or reliable screws to the wall. Thus, the installation will be completed. You just have to check how well the folding table functions.
