Recently, more and more people are purchasing cottages or houses in the private sector, but not everyone has the opportunity to purchase a security system with alarms, sensors, security calls, but everyone wants to save their property from uninvited guests. And for this you need to have video cameras, security and others special devices, of course, if there is a financial opportunity to do so, but what to do otherwise? Then install the intercom in a private house, which will help prevent an uninvited guest from entering the property.

Kinds

Devices for a country mansion are different. Any of them makes it possible to talk with a person who has approached the property, and if it is necessary to open the door for him, which is done by simply pressing a button.

The most economical device is considered an audio intercom. It does not have a monitor and a camera, and therefore there is no way to see who came, but since the device is equipped with a microphone, you can simply hear the guest's voice. Therefore, such a device is not particularly convenient and many acquire a design equipped with a video camera, which helps not only to hear, but also to see the arriving guest.

A modern intercom for a private house is supplied with additional options:

  • Answering machine - if the owner of the mansion is not at home, then this function makes it possible to listen to the recordings left by the guest or receive them on a cell phone;
  • Motion sensor - fixing the visitor in the range of the device, before pressing the "Call". As soon as a person appears, the image is immediately transmitted to the TV screen, since the device is connected to it;
  • Memory unit - recording images from the moment the call was pressed. The recording is a few minutes long, and if the memory is full, the old one is automatically erased and replaced with a new one.

The design is also different, which depends on the desire and capabilities of the owner. There is a device with one, two, four or more monitors, one camera with blocks, wireless intercoms are also installed in a private house, which make it possible to see and hear a person who comes to the door.

A few words about installation

If this action is performed by an inexperienced person, then after some time a failure may occur in the operation of this structure, and the lock will also be blocked.

With improper and poor-quality installation, any model (simple or expensive) will not give the desired result, which will affect its work.

In the event that they live in a gated community, where all visits are regulated by the security and the administrator at the checkpoint, then communication with them is organized using an intercom, which is associated with the checkpoint.

The panel of the device, which is mounted at the entrance (gate or wicket), is made of a material that can withstand any climatic conditions, rain, wind. The outdoor panel can be metal or plastic (the cost of the device depends on this), which works with temperature drops from - 20 o C to +60 o C.

Instructions

Let's consider how the intercom is installed in a private house, with our own hands:

  • Determine the location of the monitor, it is better to mount it next to the electrical panel;
  • To pull the cable to the door, grooves are made in the ceiling, for which they use an electric drill with a nozzle. After laying the wires and checking the operation of the intercom, the grooves are covered with putty and allowed to dry;
  • At eye level, a bracket is installed on the wall to fix the monitor, try on and mount the socket;
  • The display is connected to the wires, for this, press the contact with a screwdriver, insert the core and remove the tool. The cable is clamped automatically, since the spring is mounted here, but before that the wires are stripped and tinned. Then the connections are made according to the following scheme: the yellow core goes to the audio, the green one together with the screen is considered common, the red one - to 12 V, and the white one goes to the screen, to the video;
  • After all the wires are connected, the cable is pulled and the grooves on the ceiling are sealed, the monitor is hung on the allocated place;
  • The system is mounted: for this, a special lock is installed, the tongue of which unfolds in any direction and therefore it does not matter how and in which direction the door can be opened;
  • An electromechanical lock is better than an electromagnetic one in that if the light is turned off, it continues to work properly. From the side of the room, it is opened with a button, and from the outside, you will need a key or a voltage pulse, but a lot of electricity is not wasted;
  • The lock is fixed on the non-opening part of the door, but the answer is on the opening one, taking into account that the camera is placed at a distance of 150 cm from the floor. In the designated places, holes are drilled and the panel is screwed;
  • And the lock cylinder is mounted outside (if the electricity suddenly turns off, then it will be possible to open the door with it);
  • All cables are led out using flexible connections, so that if necessary, it is possible to open the door;
  • There are two controllers in the call panel, one controls the lock, and the other reads information, so the first requires a 12 V power supply (stabilized). It is connected to a lamp (energy-saving) and attached to the wall, directly under the ceiling;
  • Install a door closer, regulate the slamming of the door and close the cover of the device;
  • Carefully, by twisting, connect all the wires, and use cambric (heat shrinkable) for insulation;
  • Further, according to the instructions, drive keys are recorded in memory and the entire system is checked.

If we consider the intercom kit for a private house, then you can see that it includes: a display, two cameras, brackets, a power supply, instructions. Moreover, the monitor can be mounted on a wall or installed on a table. Some elements of video surveillance have to be purchased separately, these are: a universal, electronic lock, an anti-vandal outdoor panel with a video camera (color) for four subscribers, a contactor, a power supply unit for the panel (12V, 3 A), a cable, an outlet.

Conclusion

In order to make a high-quality video intercom installation, you need to know all the subtleties and nuances of this craft, but if they do not understand this matter, then they turn to specialists who will not only help with installing the device, but also advise which model to buy.

When using the intercom, sometimes there are problems in the system that you can fix on your own, but if you don't understand non-power cables, then you need to invite professionals who will fix everything in a matter of hours.

Recently, intercoms have been installed at the entrance to a private house or on the doors of apartment buildings to protect their property. With such a device, an unwanted guest cannot enter a house or apartment without your knowledge. Installing an intercom with your own hands is not such a difficult task. For self-assembly there are several connection schemes, here we will look at the most commonly used configurations.

The difference between the video intercom and a conventional intercom is that when you call the video intercom, the function of transmitting the image from the street in the place where the surveillance cameras are installed is activated. Thus, the owner of the house can not only hear, but also see the visitor - this is an important aspect when considering the safety of the residents' life or the house itself. Installing a video intercom with your own hands technical parameters not very different from the installation of a standard audio intercom.

Any modern intercom system must fulfill its main functions and purposes:

  • dialing from the street to the premises;
  • high-quality two-way communication between the visitor at the entrance and the owner of the house or apartment;
  • availability of video communication;
  • possibility of remote opening of the lock on the front door.

The principle of installing an intercom in a private house

How to install an intercom: device types

This convenient means of communication is of two types:

  • wired,
  • wireless.

Wireless counterparts can be installed quickly, without much effort, after which they are immediately ready for use. These systems are plugged into a conventional electrical outlet or powered by a small battery. To install a wireless intercom, a system with the required number of substations is selected, which are connected to an outlet or battery, after which the settings are made according to the attached instructions. After all the manipulations, the device can be used.

It is worth mentioning separately possible problemsthat can be encountered if you opt for a wireless model.

For wireless intercoms, the main "disease" is the loss of communication with the monitoring device due to interference that can be created by powerful Wi-Fi routers and other wireless radio devices. Therefore, it is extremely important to take into account all these factors when tuning, choosing frequencies. Also if the house has security service with its radio communication, this is another reason that interferes with the operation of the wireless intercom.

The undoubted "plus" of wired intercoms is that they do not need recharging, they are not threatened with disconnection if the owner forgets about them for some reason. The wired system is best laid during repair work.

If the decision to install the intercom with your own hands came much later, then you will have to deal with all the features of the cables that go from the main station to the substations.

How to connect an intercom: basic circuit examples

Do-it-yourself connection diagrams are divided into three categories:

  • high complexity,
  • complex,
  • ordinary.

Very complex layouts are commonly used in homes with many apartments.

A more simplified version involves connecting the doorphone and the lock into one circuit.

The so-called third type of circuits is extremely simple, a person can deal with it even with basic electrical skills.

Connecting an intercom in a multi-storey building is a complex scheme, which should also be mentioned as an example of connecting a large number of devices into one network. Such global systems have a high cost, which is why they are installed through the total cash investments of all residents of the house.

Intercom connection diagram for apartment building

The following diagram for connecting an intercom with an electric lock is considered standard for the equipment of communication systems in private houses.

Standard scheme for an intercom with an electrically operated lock

Through this scheme, the intercom and the door (gate) electric lock are most often connected into a common circuit.

Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is sufficient to implement self-connection intercom.

Thus, the receiver itself is located in the room, a pair of cables is laid from it - three-core and four-core. A three-core wire is necessary when an additional installation of a CCTV camera is involved. Also, an alternative can be a single multicore cable, in this case you will have to coordinate the connection of the video intercom according to the color of the cores. The cores are connected in turn, according to the diagram. Additionally, through the step-down power supply, power should be supplied to the image sensor and the door station of the intercom.

The example of the following diagram is pretty simple. The lock is not provided here, the connection of the intercom with your own hands is provided using four wires.

Simple circuit connecting an intercom without using a lock

Thus, coordination is made between the outdoor call unit and the indoor response unit. Two cables are responsible for power supply, the other two are responsible for audio and video signals. The contacts of the indoor and outdoor units are connected by a separate wire, which makes it possible to see and hear what is happening behind the gate.

DIY intercom installation: work sequence

Whichever connection scheme you choose, the installation technology, the sequence of work looks about the same. The whole process can be represented by the following stages:

  1. Cabling.
  2. Installation of the outdoor intercom block.
  3. Installation indoor unit.
  4. Wire commutation.

The laying of the cable that will connect the external and internal blocks of the intercom is carried out in the most convenient route for you. In the room, the wire is drawn along the grooves or cable channels.

Before installing an intercom in a private house, you need to decide on the method of laying outside the premises. Outdoors, an air gasket based on a tension cable or underground is used.

As for the outdoor method, then you need to take into account the possibility of a wire break when strong winds, as well as being struck by lightning during a thunderstorm. Underground laying is more expedient, since with proper protection of the wire, compliance with the PUE (electrical installation rules), the system will work without interruptions or malfunctions.

The underground cable must have reliable protection (shell) from moisture, mechanical damage. For these purposes, VVG, PVS, ShVVP wires are suitable.

Underground wires

The depth of the underground cable must be at least 0.75 m. Also, as additional protection, you can use a HDPE corrugated hose or a special tube.

At this stage, you should take care of the set of tools that you will need when installing the device:

  • construction knife;
  • insulating tape;
  • electric drill;
  • pliers;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • dowels;
  • screwdriver;
  • special attachment for an electric drill (for chipping walls);
  • alabaster;
  • pencil;
  • level;
  • voltmeter.

Installation of the outdoor block of the intercom is carried out in any place convenient for you. Most often it is an entrance gate or a fence post near the gate. From a practical point of view, it is not recommended to install an intercom on the wicket, since its regular opening and closing leads to rapid wear and tear, followed by cable breakage.

The fence post, which is located at the entrance gate, looks like a more attractive perspective. For reliability and long-term operation, it is better to place the unit inside a niche specially made for this. A special box is initially installed in it, and the block itself is already placed in it. The specifics of the work resemble the installation of a conventional electrical outlet and a socket box, where all the necessary wires are brought out.

If the presence of an additional video camera and / or an electrically controlled lock is implied, then five more wires are displayed in the installation box. Two wires will supply electricity to the outdoor unit and the lock system, the other three will work for an additional surveillance camera. These three wires are connected to the indoor unit, but they can also be passed by the box of the outdoor unit, directly connected to the installation site of the camera.

Intercom connection

Installation of the intercom indoor unit is facilitated by the fact that it does not require built-in (hidden) installation. The block itself is something like a videophone, which you just need to securely fix (hang) in a pre-selected place convenient for you. This unit includes two parts - a videophone and a power supply, which can be additionally equipped with a battery. The double-block can be placed in any desired place, taking into account the laying of wires from it to the videophone. A thin 12V cable is fine for this purpose.

Intercom indoor unit

Before connecting the video intercom, you need to thoroughly study the attached diagram, understand the principles of wire switching.

If this is your first time faced with such a question, you naturally may have difficulties. However, it is worth noting that almost all manufacturers of such equipment always attach to the device detailed diagram connections, where described, indicate all connection points, terminals, their functions.

At this stage, the main thing is not to mix up the wires and methodically make the connection one by one. For example, they took a wire of blue color, brought it to the terminal of the external, and then the indoor unit, followed by a wire of the following color. The connection is made until the moment when all the wiring is connected to the locations indicated in the diagram, after which the device is checked for functionality.

Connecting wires

conclusions

When choosing a place to install the indoor unit, make sure that it is always in sight, or, as they say, close at hand. In most cases, it is mounted where the owner spends the most time. Intercoms can often be seen in the hallway.

If you carefully study the technical documents attached to the device, study the connection diagrams, then installing the intercom with your own hands will not be difficult for you.

However difficult security systems specialists must deal with, in such cases, the interaction of a large team of adjusters with experience, thorough knowledge of the technical base is required.

This article will discuss how to properly install the intercom. Many apartment owners have already installed this useful device and appreciated it. We will not delve into its merits or the principle of operation, we only note that if you intend to install an intercom, but do not know where to start, then you should read this article to the end.

You should be familiar with the key points first.Calling device the intercom is equipped outside and is designed to call one of the tenants and conduct negotiations. Some modern models designed for two or even several subscribers, and also combine different access control options.

Intercom is no less important protection against unwanted intrusion than a strong door

The intercom itself installed indoors and intended for conversation with the visitor. The simplest device is an audio tube.

Note! There are more difficult option intercom - video intercom, which allows not only negotiating with visitors, but also seeing them.

Before installing the intercom, you should acquire all the necessary tools. The work may require:

The choice of this or that kit depends entirely on financial capabilities. So, the most simple option is an audio communication equipment consisting of a ringing device and a "telephone" handset and allowing only to talk remotely with the visitor.

The video intercom mentioned above is more expensive. It can be of two types:

  • black and white;
  • colored.

Most of the current video intercoms support multiple communication channels and allow you to connect three to four additional cameras that expand the viewing angle.

Almost all intercoms provide the ability to control electric combination locks.

Step 1. Choosing a location for installation

Not only the viewing angle, but also the ease of use of the equipment as a whole depends on where the calling device will be installed. Often, such a device is installed from the side of the door opening at a height of 1.5-1.6 m from the floor.

Note! If we are talking about a video intercom, then the preferred installation height is exactly 1.6 m, since the viewing angle of a standard camera often fluctuates between 70-75ᵒ vertically and 80-90 horizontally. This feature must be taken into account when choosing a place.

With regards to the intercom itself, it can be installed in any suitable place. The main thing is that the call signal is heard in all rooms.

Stage 2. Wiring

This is one of the most critical stages of installation, since the stability of the operation of all equipment depends on the quality of the wiring. One of the three specified cable options is suitable for this:

  • "Twisted pair";
  • communication signal wire;
  • telephone cable.

A cable with a length of 35-40 m (no more) is taken and led from the ringer. Of course, gating the walls of the staircase entrance is undesirable, therefore, the wiring is carried out along the walls and fixed with special fasteners. However, it is recommended to avoid high voltage power cables, as they can cause noise in the circuit or even damage all equipment. In the best case, the audio or video quality will deteriorate.

Note! When installing an electric lock in the door, a power cable is laid in parallel. It can be carried out from the call to the door or from it to the intercom - it all depends on the chosen connection scheme.

Also, all modules of the system are powered by 220 V.

Stage 3. Installation of intercom in the apartment

After competent conduct preparatory work this stage will not cause any difficulties, the main thing is to clearly follow the instructions.

Step 1.

Step 2. The place where you want to install the intercom is marked, the fastening points are determined by the building level.

Step 3. In the appropriate places, holes are made for the screws (in most cases there are no more than three), necessary for attaching the fixing metal plate. It is worth remembering that in concrete walls first, the dowels are installed, and only then the screws themselves.

Step 5. The stripped ends are attached to the connecting terminals - this is necessary not only for the strength of the fastening, but also for safety.

Step 6.

Step 7. The system connects to the network. If the wires are connected correctly, then everything should work.

Video - Intercom Installation

Note! The installation technology described below refers to an intercom installed directly near the apartment, but not outside.

To install a video intercom you will need:

  • socket;
  • monitor;
  • cable with a cross section of 0.22x4 mm;
  • bracket;
  • a pair of technical boxes - 2.5x1.6 cm and 1x1.6 cm;
  • electronic lock;
  • liquid Nails;
  • cambric;
  • 12 V power supply;
  • panel for calling (with a camera and, if possible, anti-vandal).

The sequence of actions should be as follows.

Step 1. First, the location for the monitor is determined. Due to the fact that power will be supplied to the monitor, it is advisable to fix it on the wall near the switchboard.

Step 2. The cable is pulled to the door.

Step 3. At a pre-selected location, a monitor mounting bracket is attached to the wall. For convenience, the monitor is installed at eye level.

Step 4. The panel is removed from the shield, after which liquid nails the socket is attached and the cables are connected: one to the phase through the machine, the second to the zero bus.

Note! In the absence of a free machine, it is necessary to install a new one, especially for the video intercom.

Step 5. To lay the wires in the hall, a 1x1.6 cm box is attached, then the wires from the power supply and video surveillance are pulled.

Step 6. The monitor is hung up, wires are connected to it (according to the instructions):

  • white for video;
  • green for the monitor (general);
  • yellow for sound;
  • red for +12 Wt.

In most cases, such monitors are equipped with spring contacts: they are pressed, the cable is inserted and released - the contact is clamped. All wires are pre-stripped.

If there is no detailed diagram in the instructions, it can always be found on the Internet.

Step 7. Next is the installation of the lock. It is advisable to choose an electromagnetic one, since it is capable of functioning even without electricity. From the inside, the lock will be opened using a mechanical button, and from the outside - with an electromagnetic key.

The lock is installed on the non-opening side door leaf, "Otvetka" - on the opening, but in such a way that the camera is one and a half meters from the floor (maximum - 1.6 m). To fix the camera, holes are made in the door, then screws marked "MB" are used. The holes are closed with decorative caps.

Step 8. Then a closer is installed to adjust the door closing speed. By means of the adjusting screws, the “latching” speed is set, after which the door closer is closed with a cover.

Step 9. Controllers are installed. Usually they come in pairs - one controls the lock, the second controls the Touch Memoru reader (for opening with an electromagnetic key). The last option allows you to install such videophones in apartment buildings, but with preliminary reading of all keys from the entrance.

The power supply (always stabilized) is connected to an energy-saving lamp and is mounted on the ceiling.

Step 10. All wires are connected (using the good old "twisting" method) and insulated with heat shrinkable cambric.

Video - Video intercom connection

Price and other important points

Despite the seeming simplicity of the steps described above, it takes a lot of time and effort to install the intercom. Moreover, you need to be extremely careful when working, because even the smallest mistake can affect the quality of video or audio signals. Therefore, it is better to entrust the installation to professionals.

First, the contractor sends a specialist to inspect the apartment, make measurements and draw up a rough estimate. There are many factors that affect the cost of installation work, but the main one is the type of living space.

In this case, the installation procedure will proceed as follows.

  1. After drawing up the estimate, an agreement is concluded, which details the responsibilities of the two parties.
  2. Then the installation is carried out, after which the client checks the system performance.
  3. Before leaving, the company employee must instruct the client, tell him about all the nuances of operation. He also provides a warranty card and all related documentation.

conclusions

An intercom is a great way to protect your home from thieves and intruders. It allows you to observe everything that happens outside without leaving the premises. In this case, the main factor that determines the stable and reliable operation of the device is precisely the correct installation. You can do the work yourself, but in the absence of experience or minimal knowledge in the field of radio engineering, it is better to turn to specialists.

And in conclusion - another useful video.

Video - DIY intercom key

Video intercoms are a special option for input telephones, which, in addition to listening, additionally allow you to observe a person. Their advantages are easy maintenance and relatively reasonable prices. In order to install a video intercom in an apartment with your own hands, you must first understand the technical device of the equipment, and also prepare necessary materials and tools.

The video recording phone offers more options than a regular intercom. Of course not free - the price of the video intercom is correspondingly higher.

Video doorphone input setup includes an external panel (with or without rain cover) with call button, speaker, microphone and camera. Indoor camera with multi-inch monitor, door release button, buttons for additional functions and knobs for image sharpness and brightness.

A miniature camera with a wide viewing angle fits into a cassette with a door station, and a miniature monitor is installed inside the building. It can be color or black and white. The camera usually turns on after pressing a button on the door station. In some video intercoms, it can be activated by pressing the button next to the intercom. In addition to a miniature monitor, you can connect an additional monitor or even a TV to the intercom.

The video data block can record images. When we are not at home and the camera is started by pressing a button, it will transfer the recorded image to memory along with the date and time of its registration. This way you can see what kind of guests you have when you return.

There are also more technically advanced systems. After activating the corresponding function in the video intercom, the camera automatically registers the image during our absence, memorizing it at regular intervals - this is called monitoring. Devices equipped with infrared camerasallow you to observe the area without additional lighting, even at night.

Design

Available on the market different models intercoms. The simplest are analog systems... The advantage of this solution is the relatively low installation cost. However, due to the large number of cables, they are especially recommended for installation in single-family housesx, where there is usually one uniphone (earphone).

Their disadvantage is low comfort of use and interruption of work when the phone is not installed correctly. This is why most who are interested in the idea of \u200b\u200blogging into a telephone decide on a digital system. It consists of a central unit and microphones equipped with decoders, on which an access code opens, which opens a gate or door.

Digital system can be connected to telephone system and monitoring. There are also mixed systems - analog-digital, in which the uniphones are connected to a digital intercom. The door can be opened with a code or a code card.

Radio controlled systems

The most convenient are radio controlled systems... Their big advantage is the ability to open the door using a special remote control from any part of the house, operating range 400 m, it is possible to use multiple headphones to control the input.

Videophone - this is a special version of intercoms, additionally equipped with a camera. Besides listening, a person can also watch the caller. The camera is located in a cassette plate, and a special monitor is installed in the uniform. After pressing a button on the door station, the camera will automatically turn on. An additional feature of the videophone is the ability to record images while away from home.

Basic elements

door station video intercom

uniphone - phone - it looks like a phone, but does not have a dial; uniphone allows you to contact a person at a door or gate; has a button for opening an electric lock;

intercom - it is installed outside the house at the entrance or fence; has buttons or business cards required to call the right person; there is a loudspeaker and a microphone inside the cassette; you can insert the cassette by placing it on a wall or on a wall; it is usually made of aluminum, steel, or brass;

power supply for input phone - it connects all elements of the system; supply voltage 12 V;

electronic cassette - the amplifier is responsible for the appropriate voice volume, the acoustic generator activates the electromagnetic lock when the call button is pressed;

electric lock (electric drive) - fits into a door frame or gate;

wires - connecting elements of the intercom; ducts must be properly insulated and have an adequate cross-section; telemechanical or telecommunication cables are the most suitable for this purpose.

Important points

And now - the promised seven points that you must definitely pay attention to, regardless of whether you will conduct assembly work do it yourself or contact the master. This is your checklist that should be in your head. Well, or before your eyes, written on a piece of paper. Go!

1. Choose a location for the video intercom that you have easy access to. When we find a panel in a corridor or another room where we often stop or have easy access, it will be much more convenient for us to use the videophone. It is also worth paying attention to the fact that the videophone monitor is installed at the most convenient level for residents. The LCD screen is visible at the correct angle.

2. Cables must meet the requirementsspecified in the manufacturer's instructions (appropriate number of wires, corresponding cross-section, reinforcement). Using multi-core telephone wires is a fairly common build error. Remember that they are very resistant to mechanical damage, they are also not suitable for laying outside, in the ground, even in a protective tube. We must also remember that we should not put cables in easily accessible places. Ideally, if shielded, insulate so that they are not exposed to mechanical damage or flooding.

3. It must be possible to open the door in an emergency - if we do not foresee such a possibility, it may turn out that after accidentally slamming the entrance or losing the keys, we will not get to our house. It is worth installing an additional hidden opening button, especially at the gate. It can also be an external coded access panel. Installing the input telephone

4. Adaptation of the place for mounting the external panel of the intercom or videophone. A mistake, or rather a serious problem, is the installation of interconnects or videophones in old houses without preliminary preparation of niches and places for assembly and protection of wires. The problem arises especially in old houses or their fences. The installation of an intercom or videophone should be planned right away, still during the stage of installing the house or fence. Then we can, for example, in a brick rack or at the entrance, make special niches for the panel, an electromagnetic latch and prepare a space for wires. Thanks to this, you can avoid uncomfortable walls. Usually you need to run wires inside the walls (controlling the hitch), even if you have a wireless intercom model.

5. Make sure the lighting is correct - this can refer to both the place in front of the gate and the entrance to the house. Videophones are usually equipped with diodes that allow images to be captured even in the dark, but they usually have a small range. Therefore, it is worth adding an additional lamp that turns on after dark, shedding light on the people entering. It can be switched on using the doorphone call button. The videophone lens must not be exposed to direct sun raysbecause the resulting image will be very blurry. It is worth thinking about joining the installation, as well as the function of turning on the house lighting, especially when it is quite long. A twilight sensor and a timer are useful, which limits the lighting time.

6. Pay particular attention to cable routing. The cable connecting the inner and outer panels of the doorphone or videophone must meet the requirements of the device model (number of cores, minimum cross-section, possibly the need for shielding). Multi-core telephone lines are often used for this purpose, which - due to their low mechanical strength - do not need to be placed directly in the ground, but are led into a protective tube.

An equally good, albeit more expensive solution is to use power cable type YkY, e.g. 3 x 1.5 mm2.

When planning the route of the pipeline, remember that it will not be in the place where the surface will solidify. Possible connections are made in airtight cans at a height that is not subject to flooding.

7. Provide a fence for the door station. If you plan to install an intercom or video intercom, it is worth adapting to the installation of an external panel during the construction phase. This is especially important for gate posts brickwork... When placing the pillars, niches should be made in them under the panel, so that we will avoid cutting the bricks.

Assembly

Before starting assembly (if necessary):

  1. Make a trench between the door station installation and the house.
  2. Put down the cable cover.
  3. Accurately measure the required length of the cables connecting the uniphone to the door station.
  4. Pull the wires through the cover, leaving an additional 20 cm without the cover (including the entire length, not just the underground part).

Video intercom connection diagram

To ensure optimal performance, do not connect electric wires between the door station and the uniphone.

If the cable is already installed, check the number of wires before purchasing the doorphone.

Station setup

Contacts connection procedure

  1. Specify the location of the door station cassette on a pole or wall. The cassette must be installed 1.60 m above the ground.
  2. Mounting Models: Mark the location of the dowels, drill holes and place the pins in them.
  3. Wall-mounted models: Mark the location of the hole and draw the outline of the cassette recessed into the wall.
  4. Cut the hole for the cassette (mounted model) with a chisel and the entire length of the cable cover.
  5. Place the cassette in the hole and attach it to the mortar.
  6. Place the cable cover in the forged groove and support it with a few nails (be careful not to puncture the cover).
  7. Moisten the furrow with water and fill it with the solution, removing your nails as you work.
  8. Remove excess solution, leave dry.
  9. Locate the wiring locations on the cassette board.

  1. Indicate the location of the uniphone on the wall. The uniphone must be installed 1.50 m above the floor.
  2. Mark the grooves on the wall to make a cable cover connecting the cassette to the transformer.
  3. Cut a groove in the wall with a chisel, adjust it to the thickness of the cover.
  4. Place the screen with a cable in the groove, and plaster or apply mortar.
  5. Mark the location of the dowels that fix the uniphone or its base to the wall, drill the holes and place the pins in them.
  6. Screw the base of the uniphone to the wall.
  7. Cut the wires to the required length and connect them according to the wiring diagram.
  8. Mount the receiver with the housing to the base.

The presence of an intercom has long been an indispensable condition for ensuring the comfort of a modern apartment. The main purpose of these devices is to enable landlords to accept a call from visitors and open doors remotely. Intercoms have proven to be much more convenient than outdated combination locks. Let's find out how to connect the handset of the apartment intercom yourself.

Types of modern intercoms

For reliable identification of visitors, an audio or video intercom is used. The latter is more often installed in private cottages and is created for additional visual control of the space in front of front door... As for city apartments in multi-storey buildings, then an audio version is often installed in them, the design of which includes the following elements:

  • A handset equipped with buttons for accepting a call and opening an entrance electromagnetic or electromechanical lock. The device is installed by a company that provides services for the installation and maintenance of the intercom. If such devices were not installed in some apartments when equipping the entrance, there is a possibility of their independent installation. You can also use the services of a specialist of the service company.
  • A call panel equipped with a dialing field with numbers, which allows the visitor to signal the intercom handset by pressing the required code, usually the apartment number. In addition, there is a reader on the panel, with which you can use a special key to open an electromagnetic lock that blocks the entrance doors.
  • Locking device with power supply. The most common type of lock today is electromagnetic. Until recently, electromechanical latches equipped with sliding mechanisms were ubiquitous. Such devices are often present in the entrances of apartment buildings even now. To operate the remotely controlled unit, you must use a constant voltage of 12 or 24 V.
  • Switch. This device is designed to transmit a signal from the call panel to the subscriber handset of a particular apartment.

Depending on the type of signal processing, a distinction is made between digital and analogue doorphones.

Important! Receiving devices are used for digital and analog models different types... Before purchasing such a device, you should definitely find out what kind is installed in the entrance.

Digital intercom

To connect devices of this type, only a cable with two cores is used, through which an encoded signal is transmitted. The handset installed in the apartment, the number of which was dialed on the call panel, reacts to the given signal. To set the correspondence between the dialed code and the handset, special jumpers are used - jumpers - that bridge the necessary contacts in the answering device.

To correctly program the tube operation, jumpers are placed between the numbered terminals so that the sum of the digits equals the apartment number.

The advantages of such intercoms include ease of installation and connection of new subscribers.

The main disadvantage of such equipment is the influence of each tube on the operation of the entire system. When replacing a device, which is carried out due to its breakdown, as well as when connecting new subscribers, extremely essential It has correct installation jumpers.

Attention! In the event of an error when connecting the digital tube or a short circuit in the lead wires, the system may malfunction.

Currently, to partially eliminate this drawback, floor controllers are used, which make it possible to localize a fault within one level.

Another disadvantage of digital intercoms is their relative high cost, which does not allow these devices to become widespread.

Analogue installations use a coordinate matrix connection and operate like a telephone exchange. An additional element of such a system is a switchboard in which the signal is processed and analyzed, as well as redirected to a specific subscriber.

Two buses are used to connect the doorphone handset to the switch. Contacts of the first of them (D0 – D9) correspond to tens, and the second (E0 – E9) - to units. Thus, in order to connect an intercom to an apartment whose number is, for example, 74, you need:

  • connect the conductor from the positive terminal of the subscriber tube to the contact corresponding to number 7 on the tens bus;
  • the conductor adjacent to the negative terminal is to the contact corresponding to number 4 on the unit bus.

In the considered connection option, a device designed to serve up to 100 subscribers was used. There are models that can work with a large number of numbers, but their principle of operation is no different from that discussed above.

Connection procedure

The sequence of actions will be as follows:

  1. At the first stage of work, the location of the intercom tube is selected, then it is fixed on the wall using quick installation.
  2. Next, the location of the switch installation is determined (for analog intercoms). On each floor they are installed in a junction box for low current circuits. All of them are connected in parallel, which greatly facilitates the installation process. In the general case, only one switch is enough for the entrance, however, when using such a scheme, you have to pull wires from the apartments of the upper floors to the place of installation of the device.
  3. After removing the protective cover of the switch, the terminals corresponding to tens and ones are determined, then the connection is made, so that the sum of the numbers of these contacts shows the serial number of the apartment.
  4. Wires are connected to the tube. It is extremely important to observe the polarity when doing this. The positive terminal is connected to the switch contact corresponding to tens, the negative terminal to units.

Important! If the polarity is not observed when connecting the device of the coordinate-matrix system, the operation of the devices of the entire entrance may be disrupted.

Thus, the installation of the intercom handset is not particularly difficult. However, before starting to do such work with your own hands, it is important to determine the type and brand of the device used, as well as the location of the switch and the subscriber connection scheme.
