Casamania is an Italian design company that has been on the market for over 30 years. The brand collaborates with designers from all over the world, and invites people presenting the best concepts to work.

I was lucky to collaborate with Casamania and British designer Benjamin Hubert, from whom the firm ordered a line of chairs for marine theme... The collection, by the way, was complemented by unusual and special models for the kitchen.

Bouroullec brothers

The development by Ronan and Ervan Broulek for the Italian furniture manufacturer MAGIC made a splash in the world of interior design.

Another creation of the brothers was an unusual chair for the kitchen, which quickly transforms into a table. A customized model was made for the furniture manufacturer Mattiazzi (Italy).

Octopus was created by the German design studio Paulsberg. The chair is made of carbon textile reinforced concrete. If you look closely, you will notice that in shape it resembles an athlete starting on a treadmill.

Royale chair

The armchair with the loud name Royale was created by a Belgian design studio commissioned by Beligian.

FurnID, a Copenhagen-based design studio, came up with a concept chair for Stouby that was destined to be successful.

If a designer can do an interesting thing with his own hands, then why not try to repeat it to another person? It all depends on the possibilities. Each of us can design, the main thing is to determine the level of complexity of the furniture that you can make.

Designing furniture at home is a laborious process, but believe me, the result is worth it. Before starting work, do not forget to prepare: think over the design of the future structure, decide on the choice of material, prepare the necessary tools.

Stages of production of exclusive furniture at home

Measurements.The design of any furniture begins with measurements. Even if you are just going to varnish a tree stump and drag it into your house, you still need to determine its dimensions and prepare a place in the room.
Drawing... The creation of a drawing is a crucial moment. When doing when any materials are used, this stage can be skipped. Being engaged in the production of cabinet furniture for the home, you will have to carefully draw up diagrams and calculate the sizes of parts in order to ultimately get a quality product.
Preparation of parts... The next stage, which begins after the preparation of the drawing.
Assembly.At the last stage, the structure is put together (if it consists of parts).

Studio chairs (those developed by designers) are mass-produced in high-tech production conditions, therefore they meet all quality standards. They are designed to look harmoniously in an office or studio space, in the kitchen, in the living room, on the terrace.

Interesting!Chairs of unusual shapes for the kitchen and living room, regardless of design, have their own differences. So, kitchen chairs are made with a low back, so as not to cause inconvenience while eating. Chairs for a recreation area have a back 10-20 cm higher.
