To expand the capabilities of the walk-behind tractor, it is supplemented with attachments. For all models, manufacturers offer a wide selection of plows, hillers, potato planters and potato diggers.

Given the cost of industrial attachments for a walk-behind tractor, part of it can be done by hand.

1 Additions to walk-behind tractors

The most time-consuming process on earth is plowing, therefore they are sold together with a rototiller and a plow. Sometimes the equipment for them includes devices for weeding and hilling. For heavy walk-behind tractors, the kit often includes a plow, a potato planter and a potato digger, and a rotary mower.

2 From motor cultivators to a mini-tractor

Front adapter for walk-behind tractor makes it easier to work on the site and significantly improve performance. Even with the simplest adapter (with steering wheel, wheels, seat for the operator), diesel walk-behind tractors turn into real mini-tractors. From experience, with an adapter it speeds up at least twice.

2.1 Do-it-yourself front adapter to a walk-behind tractor

An adapter similar to an industrial one can be made independently. When designing your first DIY adapter, it's a good idea to start with simple designs. For example, from a device based on metal pipe approximately 1.5-1.8 m long and a pair of wheels. On one side of the pipe, it is necessary to weld a transverse rod, and to it - wheel racks.

For the manufacture of an adapter for a front-type walk-behind tractor, trailer wheels, motorcycle sidecars, and other old technology, construction wheels or . The cross section of the pipe and the diameter depend on the power of the diesel walk-behind tractors used.

The length of the cross member is selected depending on the desired track width. For most types of work, 50-60 cm is enough. At the top in the center of the transverse bar there will be an operator's seat post, a brake lever. At the second end of the pipe, it is supposed to be welded. The hitch is a rod with a welded tee, not fully inserted into the pipe and clamped with a bolt.

Aerobatics - to make a design with steering.

For this purpose, you can use a steering rack with steering rods, for example, from a car or truck. There is also, which includes steering with rods.

The column is fixed on the frame in front of the adapter. Near the hitch, a downwardly directed lever is welded or bolted, a steering rod is attached to it. Do-it-yourself hitch on a walk-behind tractor with steering is ready. When the steering wheel is rotated, the rod will turn the walk-behind tractor.

The design of both attachments and homemade adapters for walk-behind tractors is not complicated. If you have a workshop and parts from unnecessary equipment, it is quite possible to improve the motorcycle assistant yourself. The upgrade will increase the speed and quality of work, make the process comfortable.

First thoughts to do homemade devices for a walk-behind tractor, appears after the need to transport goods, so my epic began with useful gadgets for a walk-behind tractor and was the first to make a home-made trailer trolley.

We make homemade products for a walk-behind tractor with our own hands

For quick and high-quality soil cultivation, you need to make home-made houndstooth cutters for a walk-behind tractor, which will mix the soil to a sufficient depth and break up hard clods.

A homemade rake for a walk-behind tractor is also a useful attachment. It is best to have several of these different types of rake.

A homemade hiller for a walk-behind tractor will also be needed by every gardener. Okuchnik will allow you to form even and high ridges on all beds with root crops.
A home-made blade for a walk-behind tractor will facilitate the removal of snow and sand from the land, create good conditions for further tillage.

Homemade rake for walk-behind tractor

If you wish, you can easily make homemade rakes for a walk-behind tractor. For a hay rake with a wide hay rake, you can use ordinary water pipes that differ in their diameters. You will need to put a special sleeve on the round rod, and then tap its surface, turning it slightly.

When making, a round rod is best suited. Most parts of the rake are fastened by electric welding, since this method is simple, and at the same time a reliable design is obtained.

Greater simplicity of design can be achieved if the rotary parts on the axles are fixed without rolling bearings.

It is better to make a hay rake to a walk-behind tractor folding, as this will simplify their transportation.

How to make a homemade blade for a walk-behind tractor

The walk-behind tractor can serve as a bulldozer for leveling the ground, cleaning sidewalks or roads from dirt and snow. To do this, you need to make a home-made blade for a walk-behind tractor, as a rule, sheet metal 1-2 mm thick is used. Inside the blade, four steel ribs (stiffness) are welded from a sheet 3-4 mm thick.

In them, holes are drilled in place for fastening the blade with the rods in a strictly vertical position with respect to the front of the walk-behind tractor. It is also better to sheathe the bottom of the dump with tin so that it does not burrow into the ground.

  • 1 - blade sheet (tin);
  • 2 - rack 4pcs (stiffening ribs);
  • 3 - bottom sheet of the blade (tin);
  • 4 - knife; 5 - eye for fastening the thrust.

Convenient home-made seeder to the walk-behind tractor

Conventionally, seeders for walk-behind tractors are subdivided according to the number of simultaneously sown rows - from 1 to 5, vegetable seeders and precision seeders are also distinguished.
Vegetable seeders are used for dotted sowing of vegetables: carrots, onions, beets. The device for feeding seeds is driven from the support-drive wheels of the sections. In addition, the rotational speed of the device is regulated by interchangeable sprockets.

Planters vegetable exact seeding have a brush sowing device. In such a device, a rotating brush stirs up a layer of seeds in the hopper so that they spill out into a hole located in its rear wall. The hole is closed with a rotary disk having holes of different diameters. By turning the disc, you can change the size of the holes and thus change the seeding rate.

A home-made seeder to a walk-behind tractor is usually connected to a walk-behind tractor using a universal hitch, thanks to which it is possible to complete a walk-behind tractor with two-row and four-row seeders.

Homemade shovel for walk-behind tractor

The walk-behind tractor often acts as a bulldozer, leveling the ground, as well as clearing sidewalks or roads from snow dirt. For it is equipped with a shovel blade.

A home-made shovel for a walk-behind tractor is made without any difficulties if you have a “grinder”, a drill and a welding machine on your farm.

You won’t have to look for a suitable metal for a long time, since an ordinary two hundred liter steel barrel is suitable for making a blade-shovel. Carefully cutting it into three parts, you will get three curved segments for a shovel. Having welded two of them along the contour, you will get a shovel-dump with a metal thickness of 3 mm, which is quite enough for the required rigidity of the shovel-dump.

We make a homemade disk hiller for a walk-behind tractor

We begin to make a home-made disk hiller for a walk-behind tractor by searching for covers from steel pans that are unnecessary in the household (preferably not enameled, but simply metal). Required diameter about 40-50 cm, taking into account the fact that the depth of germination of potato roots into the ground is no more than 15-20 cm. Next, we sharpen the blades of the covers, and in our case they are already hiller disks, on grinding machine. If the covers are flat, then they are slightly bent to one side with a hammer.

Further, in order to make a convenient hiller, you need to make a trolley, to which disks that shift the soil will be attached. This can be a construction of pipes and bushings, we attach small support wheels to its lower frame.

After that, you can proceed to testing such a hiller right on the potato plot of the garden.

How to make a homemade plow for a walk-behind tractor

Is it necessary to make a plow for a walk-behind tractor if there are no special metalworking skills? Yes, it's worth it. The design of this agricultural implement is quite simple and therefore it is right for everyone to make a home-made plow for a walk-behind tractor.

Before proceeding with the implementation of your plan, you need to look at the previous posts on our site, where we described the manufacturing process in detail with drawings.

Best for work professional tools, they will allow you to perform all technological operations with your own hands at the required level and at the same time retain their quality. An amateur tool for such work is unsuitable because its level of strength is insufficient to perform some of the operations.

Homemade cutter crow's feet, for walk-behind tractor

This is an all-welded non-separable steel cutter, which gives it much greater strength than conventional cultivator cutters. Homemade cutter crow's feet, for walk-behind tractor shows greater efficiency and is successfully used when plowing hard soil. It can be aggregated with almost any walk-behind tractor or motor-cultivator with a suitable axle diameter.

It is very good to use the “crow's feet” cutter when plowing the land for planting potatoes, especially if the soil is hard with large clods of earth, or when, for the prevention of the Colorado potato beetle, wireworm and other garden pests, you need to quickly plow the garden “in winter”.

Crow's feet are usually sold unsharpened, and many gardeners who have already tried these cutters are advised to sharpen them for easier and faster plowing.

Below are drawings of a homemade crow's feet2 cutter with a diameter of 520 mm, a grip of 1250 mm, a total of 30 beams. 3 pcs. per section. The beam is bolted to the coils.

When plowing the soil with such a cutter, it loosens and rises to a depth of 40 to 100 mm on average, depending on humidity.

The walk-behind tractor greatly simplifies life in the village, allows you to save money, make it easier manual labor. The cost of a hitch for it depends on the manufacturer and the availability of additional equipment. In our country, the Neva walk-behind tractor is in demand. This unit is reliable, unpretentious, easy to maintain and repair.

The design of each walk-behind tractor provides for the possibility of using a variety of attachments. Attached equipment expands the range of agricultural work. Such inventory is divided into several categories depending on the scope.

Types of attachments:

tillage

1.1. Plow. This hitch is used for plowing virgin lands and deep tillage. With skillful handling, a properly adjusted plow itself deepens when moving and cuts even furrows. Thanks to this, it can be used to quickly prepare grooves for planting potatoes.

With some cultivators, a rototiller or plow is included. Such attachments by default comes with motoblocks Neva, Aurora, Bison and others.

1.2. Reversible plow. It differs from the usual multidirectional working elements in the design. This makes it possible to plow in both directions without returning the walk-behind tractor to idle. With this configuration, one plow is working, and the second is raised. When moving in the opposite direction, the working elements can be swapped by pressing the pedal.

1.3. Hiller plow. It differs from the usual V-shaped plowshare. Used for sowing vegetable crops(potato, onion, legumes). The main function is hilling beds.

1.4. The plow is rotary. It is connected as attachments to the power take-off shaft. It can have from two to four curved shares. When plowing, it turns the soil in the same way as a conventional plow, but it is easier to work with. It is characterized by greater stability and high performance.

1.5. Cutter or cultivator. They belong to the main types of attachments for tillage. In some models of walk-behind tractors, they are installed instead of wheels. To find the optimal processing width, adjust the coulter or change the number of sections. It is more practical to use a mounted cultivator. It does not burrow, more confidently withstands the depth of the furrow, does not go to the side when hitting a denser section of the bed. A properly tuned motor cultivator will cultivate the land no worse than a tractor, while not “trampling” the soil.

1.6. Harrow. Can be finger, disc or rotary. This attachment is used to break up clods of earth and level beds.

1.7. Potato digger. The simplest design has a special plow-hiller with blades in the form of rods. The plow digs under the tubers, the soil wakes up through the dumps, and the potatoes remain on top.

Grass mowing and hay harvesting with motoblock attachments

2.1. Mowers. Can be rotary and segment (knife). Rotary mowers are more efficient in mowing, while segmented ones are more maneuverable. The second type of scythe is used to work between trees and bushes.

2.2. Tedder. This attachment is designed to turn over the hay, making it easier to dry.

Planting and sowing

3.1. Potato planter. This attachment consists of a container on wheels, a furrow cutter and a hiller. When working, potatoes are fed into the furrow at a certain interval of time, and the hiller covers it with earth.

3.2. Seeders. They work according to the principle described above. The design of the seeder depends on the size of the seeds and how they are planted. With the help of such a hinged device, tomatoes, watermelons, garlic, onions, carrots, etc. are planted.

3.3. Dominator with a seeder. This type of vertical cutter is designed to create a lawn. The dominator simultaneously performs all three operations: loosens the soil with vertical knives, sows seeds, levels, compacts the surface of the future lawn with a roller.

Cargo transportation and transportation

4.1. cargo trailer. Trailers for walk-behind tractors can have a load capacity of 300 to 500 kg. The body is usually overturned, and the cart itself can be equipped with brakes, lighting fixtures and operator's seat. The trailer is convenient, as it facilitates work when harvesting, transporting various goods.

4.2. Wheels with grousers. These metal wheels help increase traction. They are heavier than pneumatic ones, they are not clogged with earth. Thanks to this, the lugs do not slip under load.

4.3. Weighting agents. They are hung on the body or on wheels in order to increase the weight of a light walk-behind tractor and so that a heavier hitch can be installed on it.

4.4. Driving module. This is an adapter trailer that helps turn a walk-behind tractor into a mini-tractor. He is rear axle with seat and hitch for trailed equipment.

Other jobs

5.1. Rotary brush. This attachment, which is hung on a walk-behind tractor, allows you to quickly and efficiently sweep debris or freshly fallen snow from both asphalt paths and lawns.

5.2. Bulldozer knife (knife blade) - suspension fixture can only be used on heavy walk-behind tractors. The dump serves to move a large volume of bulk materials (heaps of sand, gravel, snow, etc.).

5.3. Screw-rotary snow blower. Designed to clear the area from a large amount of snow, caked or icy layers. The steel auger grinds the snow-ice mass and throws it to the side at a distance of up to 20 meters.

Homemade attachments for walk-behind tractor

Additional equipment expands the possibilities simple mechanism, turning it into an indispensable multifunctional unit. Motoblock Neva MB-2 can be bought with a set of attachments. But in some cases, factory equipment is not suitable: they are not satisfied with the price, quality, and are not intended for this model. Then you can make a hitch for a walk-behind tractor with your own hands or buy attachments from another company and adapt it to your unit.

When developing equipment for a walk-behind tractor, you need to take into account engine power, weight and dimensions, workloads, and the method of connecting to the main mechanism. This will help to rationally use funds, will not let you waste time and money.

Here are some examples of devices that you can make yourself:

1) Do-it-yourself motoblock trailer adapter

Design:

  • Frame with transverse bar;
  • Wheel racks;
  • Braces;
  • Operator's seat;
  • hitch;
  • Axle, wheels;
  • Governing bodies;
  • Trailer.

To make a simple frame, you need a pipe 1.5 - 1.7 m long. The more powerful the walk-behind tractor, the longer the adapter drawbar can be, the larger the pipe section and the diameter of the wheels.

A transverse bar is welded to one edge of the frame. Its length is the width of the trailer's wheelbase. Wheel racks and braces are attached to the bar for rigidity and better shock absorption. Wheels can be taken from a trailer or cart.

A stand for the operator's seat is fixed in the center of the transverse bar.

A hitch is welded to the second end of the frame, with the help of which the adapter trailer will be attached to the towbar of the walk-behind tractor. The simplest connection of attachments and a walk-behind tractor is a single hitch. For greater functionality and maneuverability, a lever with two or three knees can be used. It allows you to adjust the position of the hinge.

2) Homemade potato planter for walk-behind tractor

Design:

  • Frame;
  • Capacity for tubers;
  • Chain conveyor;
  • Adjustment mechanism;
  • Plow;
  • Disc harrows;
  • Axle and wheels.

The frame for the mounted planter is made of profile pipe by welding. Conveyor racks, towbar, spars are attached to it to ensure rigidity. From below, fasteners are mounted that will hold discs, clips and bearing housings, a plow.

A drive sprocket is mounted on the shaft, fixing with a key. It is installed in bearings, and a wheel hub is mounted on the edge.

Conveyor bowls are made of wire 5-6 mm. A curved piece of the same wire is welded from below to the ring with a diameter of 58-60 mm. The result is a recess in which a medium-sized tuber lingers.

Then they are welded to the chain links by means of fasteners. The interval between them depends on the diameter of the drive sprocket, the length of the chain. It can be installed empirically. The conveyor chain is mounted on an idle sprocket and a tensioner. The principle of chain tension is the same as that of a bicycle.

The transport tape is connected and pulled only after it is threaded through the opening of the container for planting material.

The working part of the conveyor must pass through the bunker, capturing the planting material. If the chain clings to the walls of the bunker, this will lead to its destruction.

The discs are mounted on special racks (sectors), which make it possible to change the angle of inclination of the disc and the immersion depth of the unit.

3) Disc hiller for walk-behind tractor

Design:

  • T-frame;
  • Racks;
  • Disks;
  • Screw talpers.

The disk hiller is the most convenient mounted unit in operation. With it, you can perform work when planting a garden and during the period of active growth of plants. It does not require much physical effort in the work, and its power increases with a decrease in the speed of movement.

For the manufacture of discs, alloy steel with a thickness of 1.5 - 2 mm is used. A hole is drilled in the center for adapters that will attach them to the hiller frame. The outer edges of the discs are bent.

Adapters (disc racks) can be simply welded or bolted to the crossbar of the frame. In the second case, it will be possible to change the grip width of the hiller.

With the help of talpers, the angle of rotation of the disks is changed to regulate the depth of their immersion. Sleeve bearings built into the design facilitate the operation of the hiller.

4) Homemade potato digger for a walk-behind tractor

Design:

  • Frame;
  • Share;
  • Editorial node;
  • Drum cleaner.

When choosing the dimensions of the parts, you need to focus on the power of the walk-behind tractor to which the potato digger will be connected.

The welded frame is made of a metal corner 60x40mm, a section of channel No. 8, a profiled pipe.

The movable part of the potato digger is the ploughshare. It consists of a steel plate (or several plates) and rods. It is attached to the elevator casing with four fasteners tightened with nuts. All sharp edges on this design must be blunted so that they do not damage the tubers.

The editorial unit consists of two cylindrical metal cases. The glass-like body of the potato digger must have a sleeve for connecting the driven and driving shafts. Right assembled structure when installed on a walk-behind tractor as a mounted one, it must rotate freely.
Hubs are made from a pipe with a diameter of 25 mm. Gear sprockets are welded to them. The latter, in turn, are mounted on bushings with the help of feather keys.

The cleaner drum looks like a squirrel wheel, which is why it is sometimes called that. It consists of two roller chains of 94 links, dressed on special rods. This design is mounted on two fixed axles.

During the movement of the walk-behind tractor, the plowshare will make digging movements by the force of the shaft, changing the angle of inclination. The tubers will gradually move through all the design elements of the mounted unit, sifting the soil through the bars.

5) Snow blower of mouldboard type

Design:

  • Adapter;
  • Dump.

For the manufacture of the dump, a frame is mounted. It is sheathed with tin with a thickness of not more than 2 mm. Its dimensions depend on the characteristics of the service area. To clean the paths, 50-55 cm wide will be enough.

The lower edge of the blade should be located at an angle to the main axis of the frame. A knife is attached to it with the help of bolts or rivets. The large inclination of the knife allows you to cut off the hard crust, the small one - to move the snow mass without any special loads on the engine.

The adapter is two rods and three brackets. The blade is attached to the frame of the walk-behind tractor with the help of rods. And the angle of its placement relative to the frame is adjusted using brackets. To facilitate adjustment, a traction mechanism can be mounted. As a basis for this hinged mechanism, the front wheel assemblies of a passenger car are used.

The principle of universality

Some elements of the hitch are similar in design and principle of operation. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture equipment based on the principle of universality. So, for example, a potato digger can become a potato planter or hiller. The use of a single node in such designs will save money, as well as space for storing an additional set of equipment.

When purchasing an assistant in a store for working in a summer cottage, backyard or small farm plot, you need to remember that even diesel heavy walk-behind tractors themselves are nothing more than an expensive toy with a powerful engine. A multifunctional assistant, they are made by a variety of accessories for a walk-behind tractor. Most manufacturers of mini-equipment also produce various additional equipment for completing their models of walk-behind tractors, but many owners prefer to make various fixtures and nozzles for their walk-behind tractor with their own hands, looking for all kinds of diagrams and drawings for this.

Trailer and attachments

Despite the variety of additional equipment, it can be conditionally divided into two groups:

  • Trailer devices;
  • Attached equipment for motoblocks.

But this division is really arbitrary, because most of these units can be mounted both directly on the walk-behind tractor and on special trailers - adapters. In the first case, it becomes mounted, and in the second, fixed on the adapter, it turns into a trailer. Of the entire large list, only lugs and weighting agents refer exclusively to attachments for the walk-behind tractor itself, and are not used in the hitch, but their purpose is to improve the adhesion of the unit to the ground, so they are not so much production equipment, but rather accessories for the walk-behind tractor.

Working attachments include:

  • plows;
  • cultivators;
  • cutters;
  • hillers;
  • soil cutters;
  • pumps;
  • mowers.

Attachments for a walk-behind tractor are not limited to this list only - there are still many attachments, mostly homemade.

The list of actually trailed working devices for walk-behind tractors is not so long:

  • special couplings (adapters).

Using these devices, you can turn a single-axle unit into a two-axle mini tractor, which will be much easier and safer to work on. Almost the entire hitch on the walk-behind tractor can also be hung on special hitches. Often, the owners use two sets of attachments at the same time: one is hung directly on the walk-behind tractor, and the second set of attachments is attached to the adapter, thus doubling the performance of the unit.

Which is better: factory or homemade attachments?

Seemingly absurd at first glance, the question is actually far from being so simple. It is clear that a factory attachment to a walk-behind tractor is better than a homemade one, but the trouble is that it often only fits equipment of one brand.

What comes out of it? You have a walk-behind tractor, there is, for example, a factory mower for it, but there was no hitch for it, and you made a homemade hitch. In this situation, it may well happen that you have problems with assembling your homemade hitch for a walk-behind tractor and a factory mower into one unit - either the mount will fail, or something else will not fit.

In fact, for many owners, making attachments for walk-behind tractors with their own hands is a necessary measure. After all, the total cost of all the necessary devices and devices, without which the multifunctional operation of this mechanism is simply impossible, is often ten or even one and a half higher than the cost of the model itself. Therefore, having purchased a walk-behind tractor, many people simply cannot afford to purchase additional equipment for them, especially when it comes to buying powerful diesel models, the cost of which is already 1.5-2 times higher than the cost of their gasoline counterparts.

Another reason that leaves the owners of domestic brands with no choice but to make equipment on their own, whether mounted or trailed, for their walk-behind tractors is the lack of high-quality factory analogues. Therefore, instead of buying imported equipment at exorbitant prices and then trying to attach it to domestic models, it is much easier and cheaper to make trailed or attached equipment for your walk-behind tractor with your own hands.

In addition, home-made - does not mean bad, low quality. The attachment to the walk-behind tractor assembled from improvised materials gives no less, and often even great benefit than stamped on the factory conveyor. After all, it is assembled by hand, it has a minimum of complex knots and a maximum of practicality. In addition, such equipment is obtained as much as possible adapted to the relief of the land on which it will work. The main thing is that such a prefix is \u200b\u200bassembled correctly and with maximum observance of safety precautions during its operation.

The most unexpected homemade devices

Probably the most common use of a walk-behind tractor after cultivating the soil and transporting goods is a wood splitter, which allows you to split large chocks without much physical exertion. True, the wood splitter itself is mounted on a separate frame, and only a working motor is used from mini-equipment.

The second common use of this mechanism is to turn it into a snowmobile or swamp. The most amazing thing is that craftsmen manage to carry out this transformation, practically without changing anything in the design of the unit.

First, a trailer is hooked to the walk-behind tractor in order to have a two-axle four-wheeled unit, and then air is released from all wheels. On flat wheels put on special homemade lugs. Their width is 2-3 times wider standard width ordinary wheel. Then the wheels are pumped up again, which, increasing in volume, are tightly pressed against the lugs put on top of them.

Due to the width of the wheels, such a device puts pressure on the ground 2-3 times less than ordinary wheels, but due to its spikes it has sufficient grip with it, so the unit “shod” in such devices runs quite briskly both through mud and snow . But it should be noted that over rough terrain on such a vehicle is still not particularly accelerated.
There are many more wonderful devices invented by folk ingenuity, each of which deserves a separate story.

The design and arrangement of any walk-behind tractor implies the mandatory use of attachments. And since modern motor blocks have heavy and high-torque motors with power take-off systems, it is not surprising that motor tool manufacturers create more and more interesting nozzles and attachments for walk-behind tractors every season.

What a tool kit can do

The universal nature of the design of the walk-behind tractor implies that additional working tools and equipment are used exclusively as attachments for the walk-behind tractor. During operation, it can be easily removed and replaced, without interfering with the design of the walk-behind tractor.

In the vast majority, attachments for a walk-behind tractor are developed and produced primarily for tillage and growing vegetables and grain crops in small areas of household plots. Therefore, all attachments can be correlated into three categories:

Important! Due to the high degree of unification of the design of the main unit with the motor, the owners different models motoblocks can partially adapt attachments and attachments for "foreign" models to their units. Especially when it comes to "Soviet" models.

Typical options for attachments for walk-behind tractors

Manufacturers of equipment for walk-behind tractors divided the entire range of attachments into two groups:

The simplest attachments and nozzles for a walk-behind tractor

Such devices include a number of plows, cutters, hillers for universal purposes.

Most of them are single-row, but for heavy models of walk-behind tractors, multi-row ones can also be used, most often these are cutters and cultivators.

For each model of the walk-behind tractor, the manufacturer produces a whole range of extensions and nozzles that can increase the wheelbase and increase the stability of the hitches for installing a plow or a knife hiller. In some cases, with the help of hitches, small harrows or rakes can be attached to the walk-behind tractor, the use of which can significantly increase the efficiency of working with mowed plants and their residues in the ground.

An obligatory tool is lugs installed on walk-behind tractors during heavy work - plowing or milling the soil. For work in particularly difficult areas, you can use additional reinforced lugs with hinged loads.

The second most popular after the plow are cutters for cultivating the land. Usually double ones are used, but if desired, tools with an increased number of knives can be supplied.

Attached equipment for motoblock fireworks

Currently, relatively new models are the most popular in the list of additional devices for a walk-behind tractor - seeders, potato planters, harvesting devices and snowplows. Nozzles and mechanized units for planting seeds allow you to sow at the most optimal time, when the period goes for days or even hours.

For example, additional devices for sowing small seeds and grain crops. The design of the attachment is very similar to that used for full trailed tractor planters.

Potato planters KS-1, with a weight of just over 40 kg, allow planting about 100-120 kg of seed potatoes in a prepared furrow in an hour and a half. The seed material is loaded into the hopper and fed by the chain drive of the planter to be placed into the soil at precisely measured intervals. It is clear that before the work of attachments it is necessary to cultivate and cut furrows in the ground.

No less interesting is the equipment for digging and collecting potatoes. You can simply dig the tubers out of the ground with a special kind of plow, but it is better to use more universal option attachments that help even partially harvest.

It is worth mentioning a separate category of attachments used for mowing green mass. For example, a rotary mower for Salyut with a chain drive of a cutting tool allows you to mow grass many times faster than when using a self-propelled lawn mower. Hinged structure rake GPM-1 allows you to remove mowed hay without much effort.

For hilling and processing row-spacings, a disk hiller or flat cutter is perfect.

In addition to cultivating the land and harvesting, for Salut, you can use special attachments designed for watering and spraying shrubs and trees. This is a water pump capable of creating pressure up to 5 atm.

Snow removal attachments

The practice of working with motor units has shown that, with the appropriate equipment with attachments, the motor block works perfectly as a snow blower. One of the most good options mounted snow blower can be called a mounted kit SMB-1.

With the help of a rotary blade and ejector, the snow blower is able to remove from roadbed packed snow up to 200 mm thick, and the entire mass of snow is thrown onto the roadside at a distance of up to five meters. An alternative to using such equipment may be to use a tractor or work with a shovel.

For cleaning wet snow, you can use a mounted blade-shovel. A blade one meter wide makes it possible to lift and remove heavy snow saturated with water and ice up to 30 cm thick. At the same time, the set of installed equipment has an additional handle that allows you to change the direction of the cut. If desired, and with a sufficiently powerful engine, a walk-behind tractor can even cut off the upper part of the turf on sandy ground. In fact, a blade shovel and an adapter can turn a walk-behind tractor into a miniature bulldozer.

The final fine sweeping of the web can be done with a snow blower based on a rotary brush. This attachment will not only remove dirt and stone from pavement, but also capable of removing frost and compressed frozen snow up to 10 mm thick.

Transport attachments

A walk-behind tractor with a sufficiently strong motor can be easily turned into a small transport vehicle capable of carrying from 100 to 400 kg of cargo. This will require a special type of hinged hitch and a single-axle trailer.

The average speed on rough terrain is up to 10 km / h, on the road you can move up to 15-18 km / h. Most of the inconvenience associated with the use of such equipment is due to the fact that the gear ratios of the transmission are not very well combined with the optimal speed and speed of the walk-behind tractor. Given the lack of full-fledged controls and braking in the walk-behind tractor, in order to operate the unit on a hitch with an overloaded trailer, quite serious experience and skill in driving such motor units is required.

If desired, with the help of an additional attachment adapter, you can turn the walk-behind tractor into a microtractor, quite maneuverable and powerful. By adding grass mowing equipment to it, you can get a full-fledged motorized lawn mower.

Many interesting specimens of attachments for a walk-behind tractor were created by the hands of enthusiasts, for example, a caterpillar transporter. Or spray system and chemical protection plants. Most of these models are quite successfully subsequently copied and used to develop industrial models of equipment.

Conclusion

Additional units and devices turn walk-behind tractors into full-fledged agricultural machines. They cost a lot, but with proper use they reduce the physical load by an order of magnitude, while the quality of work remains consistently high. In some cases, such as snow removal, there is practically no alternative to using a walk-behind tractor with an installed snow blower. The market for these types of products continues to grow rapidly.
