Creative hosts will always find ordinary things original application. It is not often possible to find crafts made from plastic pipes, but it is this material that gives scope for imagination and often saves the situation in a seemingly hopeless situation. Easily bent, easily cut, quickly mounted pieces of plastic pipes can be turned into the most unexpected design. These can be such crafts from polypropylene pipes with your own hands, as a flower stand, bush holder, bookcase, shelving, home or garden decorations, and even a plastic pipe fence or a pipe chair.

To obtain bent or flattened structures from polypropylene pipes, the material is heated, and while the pipe is hot, it is deformed in the right places and directions. It is very convenient to heat pvc pipe sections with a gas burner, but a regular one will do. gas stove. They cut the details of water plastic pipes with a hacksaw, grinder or jigsaw - manual or electric. Advanced home craftsmen connect homemade pvc pipes with a special soldering iron, and a synthetic adhesive is also suitable for simpler bonding.

What can be made from plastic pipes

If you wish and have a good imagination, crafts for giving from plastic pipes can take up a significant part of your household, both in the house and on the plot or in the garage. Products of different sizes and diameters can be bought at any construction market: their usual purpose is water and sewer lines, heating and irrigation systems, and it often happens that after the main work pieces of polypropylene pipes of different lengths and diameters remain. If you have not thrown them away yet, then you can make very original and even useful crafts from plastic pipes with their own hands.

For the manufacture of artistic items, segments of polypropylene pipes are best suited - they are rigid, they can be easily connected to each other using nozzles and adapters, so that the structure can later be disassembled. Trimmings will also serve well for suburban area or a playground, a children's room or a car repair shop. The main thing is to see how they can be used. Polypropylene products are well connected by soldering: a non-separable, but very strong and durable construction is obtained.

Connection options

You can make plastic pipes with your own hands not only for crafts for summer cottages, household items or furniture, but also for more complex designs. The main thing is to firmly connect the parts of the product. Connect them in the following ways:

  1. One segment is inserted into the socket of the other through a rubber seal;
  2. Blanks of plastic pipes are connected with glue;
  3. Details are connected to threaded hardware.

The first option is the simplest, but not reliable and tough enough. Contact surfaces must first be cleaned of dust and lubricated with silicone or graphite grease (you can even use soapy water or liquid detergent). The segment is inserted into the socket to the end, and then pushed back a few millimeters.

This design of water pipes can be easily disassembled, so it is suitable for seasonal use: this is how you can make children's swings, chairs, water pipes for the garden, etc.

The second option is more reliable, but more labor-intensive. Before gluing sewer plastic pipe trimmings, the joints are also cleaned, sanded with fine sanding paper and degreased with a solvent or methylene chloride. Glue is applied to the entire outer surface, and 60% inner surface glued pp parts. Then the products are inserted into the socket and rotated 90 0. Methylene chloride dries quickly - 60 seconds, so gluing must be done quickly.

The third option is to mark the products and drill holes for the bolts. Such DIY pipe crafts are considered the most reliable, and they can always be disassembled for storage or rework.

To connect the corners of structures or several segments in one place, fittings are used - tees, adapters, couplings. Therefore, structures of any complexity can be made from pvc pipes or propylene. Consider crafts for children and adults that you can make with your own hands from pvc pipes.

Little things for the interior

  1. From scraps of products, you can design an organizer for an office or workshop. The reliability of crafts is determined by the connection options: self-tapping screws to the surface of a table or wall, or gluing structural parts together. The first option will be stationary, the second - mobile (portable). It is better to take pipelines of white or gray color;
  2. From plastic pieces of small diameter you get a beautiful and original stand for tablet or netbook;
  3. What else can be done from pipes? For example, modern or high-tech book shelves, photo frames or mirrors;
  4. From scraps of large diameter you get a shoe shelf with compartments, from pieces with a smaller diameter - a flower stand. In order to make flower pots with your own hands, you will need products of a very large diameter - from 100 mm and above. Such country crafts made of polypropylene pipes can be placed both in the house and on the street; Usually these are sewer elements;
  5. A floor vase of any length, decorated with any patterns, can even serve as a gift to a friend. To make a vase, take pipes for plumbing or sewerage systems of medium diameter, and you can make such a type-setting vase - insert cuts one into one, using each next segment of a smaller diameter;
  6. An indoor or outdoor spotlight with a minimum of decorations will perfectly fit into a techno-style interior;
  7. Hanger, holder for things, chair or table, shelving, shelf, whatnot, shower, sprinkler - for country house there are so many ideas that you can’t remember everything, it would be a fantasy;
  8. A garden house can be equipped with a homemade storm sewer from pipes sawn in half lengthwise and connected with glue or bolts into one long drain gutter.

Crafts for the playground

Original crafts made of PVC pipes will also turn out for a yard playground: a small playpen for a baby that develops a collapsible rug, light swings for children up to 5-6 years old, plastic sleds of an original design, collapsible goals for playing hockey or football, small house for games, an outdoor shower for summer use, a theater screen for impromptu home theatrical performances, and much more.

A playpen made of plastic pipes can be assembled in a couple of hours if you have a special soldering iron. You only have to buy the segments required amount corners and crosses for connecting partitions to each other. The design is simple in that it does not need to make a floor.

Plastic swings must be assembled from polypropylene pipes with a diameter of 32-55 mm, or from metal-plastic pipes of large diameter. For structural rigidity, metal rods of a suitable diameter are inserted into the supporting pipes - they will not make the portable structure too heavy, but will make it as safe as possible for children. For a chair of such a swing, you can cut a sheet of OSB and bolt it to the frame. To make a stationary swing with your own hands, it is enough to drive iron bars into the ground, on which the main skeleton of the structure will be mounted.

The sled of their PVC pipes looks very original, and the same OSB or chipboard sheet will serve as a seat for them. Due to the short length of the connected segments, such sleds will turn out to be very durable. You can bend polypropylene segments on the front of the sled using boiling water - you need to lower a piece of pipe into boiling water, hold it in it for 20-30 minutes, and then, until it has cooled down, put the pipe on an iron rod and quickly bend it as needed . Leave for a few hours to cool, and the bent element of the sled is ready.

A playhouse made of plastic water pipes can be complicated to a castle - make a drawing, and your kids will have a transforming house from which you can assemble anything - from a swing to a crib. The roof and walls of the house are made of dense fabric or opaque polyethylene. And so that the children feel in such a house, as in a real one, put lighting there and make furniture - two or three chairs, a table, a cabinet. Children will be interested!

It’s quite simple to make a shower - assemble a quadrangular frame on the squares, and you don’t even need to mount a sprayer - it’s enough to drill many small holes along the long sides of the upper pipes through which water will create many jets. And the pipes of the frame made will serve as a water route - connect water from a house or an outdoor storage tank with a pump to create pressure to it. And if you make this structure higher, then you yourself can freshen up in it.

PVC pipe furniture

Despite the fact that furniture made of propylene or PVC pipes seems fragile and unreliable, it is still worth trying to make a couple of pieces of furniture to make sure the opposite is true. Beyond originality appearance, such a light garden or country furniture for a gazebo or pavilion will save your family budget well.

It is impossible to imagine a gazebo without chairs or a bench, so start by designing a chair. The chair can be made anything - folding, low, with or without a back, in the form of an armchair or ottoman, a highchair for feeding a baby, a deck chair, etc. And do not limit yourself to using pipes alone - use everything that seems suitable to you in the design. So, for the chair seat, you can fix foam rubber on plywood and cover it with polyethylene, or you can use pieces of rubber in the form of crossed ribbons instead of plywood (this is how almost any chair works), and the chair will become soft and comfortable.

Here, in the gazebo or on the veranda, you can put a bed for children - single or bunk. You will understand the principle of assembling furniture immediately after you sit on the first chair assembled with your own hands - the same techniques are used when assembling any pipe structure. The benefit of such details and interior items also lies in the fact that they can be disassembled at any time in order to assemble something else that is relevant at the moment.

For example, glass coffee table no one will call home-made if it is assembled carefully and according to the drawings - all the details for it look elegantly processed, and the masking of the connecting seams and holes will make such a table indistinguishable from the factory one. And do not forget about the main thing - any of your products will always be made in a single copy, that is, it will be only your design work.

Even in a house built according to original project and furnished with chic furniture, you can put lightweight furniture made of pipes, and it will not spoil the interior. For example, a rack in the hallway or a hanger in the hallway will look very unusual.

Useful crafts for home and garden

If you did not buy a country or country house, but built it yourself, then at the end of the work you will definitely have a lot of unused building materials, which can be used along with scraps of metal-plastic, PVC or propylene pipes. And, if crafts from pipes are not always in place to decorate or improve the functionality of the interior, then they will definitely find a use for themselves on a personal plot, especially since their appearance will be original, neat and beautiful.

What can be made from plastic pipes

For most, the question immediately arises: “is it possible to replace PVC pipes with polypropylene?” . You can use polypropylene pipes, only in this case we still need a soldering iron.

Advantages of PVC pipes:
- snow-white color;
- you can connect pipes with fittings with glue, or without it at all;
- if you do not use glue, then the structure will turn out to be collapsible, and like a LEGO constructor, you can use fittings and pipes to assemble other structures.
Of course, polypropylene pipes are deprived of these advantages.

And now, let's see what crafts you can make from plastic pipes with your own hands:

From plastic pipes you can make:

Highchair made of 1″ pipe

Camping folding chair from 1″ pipe

Country tables and chairs from 1″ pipe, for outdoor use

Greenhouses, greenhouses and light frames in beds for sheltering plants, assembled from polypropylene pipes and connecting elements - very a budget option combining low cost and ease of assembly. If necessary, they can also be easily dismantled.

Strong and stable racks for growing and working with seedlings.

PVC pipes of a larger diameter, neatly sawn from above with a jigsaw and filled with soil, are a compact and aesthetic option for planting greenery.

Children's bunk bed (3/4″, 1″ and 1 1/4″ pipes were used)

Bed for dogs, the diameter of the pipe in this case is selected based on the size and weight of the dog.

Suspended swing for giving

Sledge for household work in the winter in the country

From the rest of the pipes of large diameter, you can make a small organizer in the garage

Clothes dryer made of PVC pipes.

Having attached, wheels we will receive rather convenient carts.

A greenhouse made of PVC pipes will serve you for many years, it does not need to be painted, and it will not rot or rust, as is usually the case with greenhouses made of wood and metal.

You can assemble hydroponics from plastic pipes, but in this case I want to note that you can use any pipes (including sewer pipes)

Children's car made of plastic pipes

Or make a pen for chickens

Racks that can be easily assembled to any size

Collapsible outdoor tents and tents made of plastic pipes

Grating grate made of plastic pipes that will always have a pleasant appearance.

Canopies for cars from plastic pipes

Fences and barriers made of plastic pipes

PVC pipes are an easily accessible material for useful ideas and household appliances. What do you need for this? Hacksaw, tape measure, glue, in some cases sandpaper.

1. Rack for drying clothes.

2. Drinker system in the chicken coop.

3. Little boy.

4. Shelves.

5. Rack for bicycles.

6. Rack for containers with vegetables.

7. Summer velomobile.

8. Various tool holders.

10. To store shoes.

11. Summer shower for children.

Simple designs of garden furniture, assembled from polypropylene pipes, will help you relax and unwind in a shady corner of the garden.

How do you, for example, comfortable models of chairs?

A comfortable sun lounger, an impromptu canopy for a morning meal in the fresh air, or such a “life hack” stand model that allows you to train on a treadmill without leaving the Internet? Cheap, reliable and practical!

Children in the country are a separate burning topic. The ubiquitous children must be given the opportunity to play and misbehave in such conditions that parents are calm.

For kids in the country, you can assemble such a convenient playpen or a cozy toy house. These designs are easily transferred to the garden or to the veranda, and your child will always be in your field of vision.

IN modern world, with its developed industry, there is room for a creative solution to any household problem. Plastic pipe crafts have become a tool for making fantasy come true in decorative arts and engineering, right down to carports, greenhouses, swings and more.

What can be made from plastic pipes

Products made of plastic pipes, due to their lightness, flexibility, strength and ease of assembly, have become a real storehouse of ideas for the creativity of many modern "Kulibins" and "left-handers". With the help of pipes, you can make furniture, garden and garden accessories, interior elements, entertainment for children, and even weapons with your hands. And it's not just the low price and availability of materials. The fantasy of people is constantly being embodied in new forms. The following is a selection of the 50 most interesting projects.

How to shape plastic pipes

Pipes can be given almost any shape, because they are interconnected and bent. For example, if you need to make a vault for a canopy, they may well be bent to a given radius, it depends on the diameter and thickness of the walls.

Homemade plastic pipes require the material to be given certain shapes. This is achieved by heating the material. For heating, a building hair dryer or a gas burner is used. It is necessary to warm up the plastic surface and while it is hot give it the desired shape. If there is no burner, you can heat the material over the fire gas stove. For not strong heating, it is enough just to fill the pipe with hot water.

The heated plastic is very soft, so special attention should be paid to creases in the bends. Cut plastic with a hacksaw or jigsaw.

Connection options

There are several ways to connect pipes for homemade products:

  1. Socket connections. In order for the inner pipe to fit tightly and not dangle, a rubber sealing ring is installed inside it. Also, chamfer the smooth end and grease its tip with silicone. Such a connection is considered not very strong, but it is easy to disassemble. With its help make collapsible homemade designs, For example, garden furniture removed from the yard for the winter.
  2. The second type of connection practically does not differ from the first, except that glue is used for the connection. In order for the segments to adhere better, it is necessary to thoroughly degrease the parts to be joined before applying the glue.
  3. Fitting. may be detachable or non-detachable. With the help of couplings, it is possible to fasten sections of pipes of different diameters and even materials. Most often, inexpensive plastic compression couplings are used for homemade products. For fastening in places of bending of the structure, you can use another type of shaped elements - bends, tees and crosses.
  4. Heating device ("palnik" or "iron"). It has little in common with well-known household appliances. This is a special machine for welding plastic pipes. The products to be joined are placed in the clamp of such a heater and stick to each other in a few seconds. This is the fastest and most reliable method, all joints are neat and tight. The only bad thing is that this heater is quite expensive and it is unprofitable to buy it for the sake of one craft.
  5. Use of flanges. One flange is put on the connected ends, which is a sleeve, slightly larger in diameter than the pipe itself, with a thick washer with holes located at one end. After the flange is fixed on each segment, they are connected using bolts passing through the holes in the washer. For waterproofing, wide rubber gaskets are used. Not the most popular type of connection for homemade products. Flanges make the appearance of crafts more rough, not neat. But if brutality is inherent in the design of a homemade product, such connections will reveal the master’s intention in the best possible way.

garden arch

Arches are used to decorate the yard or garden plot. Very often they are used as an element of decoration of festive events. The upper part of the arch is assembled from curved pipes. To facilitate bending, you can heat them with a gas burner flame, but it is best to fill them with boiling water and bend them slowly. The upper part of the craft can be made using collapsible fittings. In this case, we get a folding arch, which is convenient to store and transport.

Privacy corner in kindergarten

According to the recommendations of the Federal State Educational Institution, the Center for Solitude and Relaxation is becoming a mandatory attribute for kindergartens and other preschool educational institutions. The frame of a privacy corner made of plastic pipes can be in the form of a house, a tent or a mink. Inside you need to put pillows, soft objects, plasticine, pencils and paper, toys that develop and distract attention. Outside, the craft is covered with a fabric of calm, not flashy shades. it is preferable to use materials of pastel colors. All this will allow the baby to relax a little, wait out the stress, distract from troubles and soon return to the group with his comrades.

Scuba for beach search

A beach scooter is used to search for small objects in the sand - coins, watches, chains, shells, and so on. It resembles a scoop with small holes in the bottom. To make a scuba, you need a piece of plastic pipe with a diameter of at least 100 mm, in the lower part of which you need to drill holes for the exit of sand, and make a handle in the upper part. The photo shows a homemade scooter for the manufacture of which a tap to a smaller diameter, a plug and a thin piece as a handle were successfully used.

Embroidery machine

Another interesting craft made of PVC pipes. In fact, this is a frame on a stand, designed to stretch the fabric on it. It is made of pipes connected by bends of 90 degrees. This allows you to make a geometrically correct square or rectangle. The angle of inclination is adjusted using a loose socket connection of the tee in the frame and the outlet in the stand.

Well from a pipe of large diameter

A plastic well is the easiest use or PVC. First, a hole is dug that reaches the level of groundwater. Then PVC of the appropriate diameter and length is placed in it to prevent the earth from shedding. A deep pump can be placed in the well and supply water to the house directly from the tank.

Swing for children

A swing made of plastic pipes is unlikely to withstand an adult. But for children not exceeding 20 kg, this is a completely feasible undertaking, and most importantly, it is safe. Swings can be installed in the yard and in the country, disassembling them into their component parts with the advent of winter. The photographs show two swing options - for the street and for the house. Compact home swings do not require any additional materials - only PVC pipes remaining after repair were used in the homemade product.

Child chair

A light chair made of plastic pipes and a cut of bright dense fabric will surely appeal to children. It can become a piece of furniture in a children's house or be used as country furniture. Remnants of PVC pipes, 90 degree bends and tees were used for the manufacture. The frame is fixed with glue.

Drilling machine

An electric drill or a screwdriver is a tool that is always found in a locker. home master. You can make homemade out of them. drilling machine. You just need to fix it on a movable bracket. This will make the holes even, at a given distance from each other. Such a homemade product can replace a heavy and serious drilling unit. But it will require hard work. Without precise fitting and reliable fastening of the knots, one cannot do here.

Bed for strawberries in plastic pipes

The craft is a thick plastic tube with holes for plants located on top. This method of planting strawberries allows the ripening berries to lie on the plastic, and not on the ground, which makes harvesting easier. In the photo, a plastic pipe is used as the basis for a hydroponic system. Pots are inserted into the holes, to which a nutrient solution for plants is supplied.

vertical beds

This method of planting resembles the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Pipes with plants sticking out of the holes in the upper part can be placed in several rows. Foliage covers the skeleton, giving the impression of plants hanging in the air. In addition to the original appearance, this placement of plants allows you to get good harvests even from small spaces. Vertical beds made of plastic pipes can be placed in the narrow aisles of a summer cottage and even on a loggia or balcony of a city apartment.

Fence - fence for the site

This use of pipes is more decorative than applied. Such a fence will not stop intruders, but will household plot or the palisade is neater and more elegant. Moreover, the craft can be painted in different colors, which will give an additional decorating effect. All that is required for this is all the same trimmings, tees, 90 degree angles and plugs.

Rod-pod - stand for a fishing rod

Any fisherman knows what this device is for, and the ability to assemble it from pipes and carry it with you on a fishing trip makes it also convenient. A rod pod involves several rod supports, which can be easily achieved using short lengths of pipe and fittings. The main focus is to create a durable, easy to assemble and disassemble craft. For the fisherman, you can provide a light chair made of the same material. In the photo - a stand for two fishing rods.

Plant trellis

These are ordinary racks made of thick pipes with thin ones fixed to them horizontally. When building a vineyard, you need to rely on the fact that the load on the racks and crossbars will constantly increase, so you need to take into account the margin of safety for such a homemade product. Don't stop at simple rectangular coasters. The plasticity of the material will allow you to achieve the most bizarre shapes to decorate your garden!

Eaves for curtains from a plastic pipe

A stylish cornice made of plastic pipes can be made from the materials remaining after the repair. Flanges put on plastic brackets will help to tightly fasten homemade products to the wall. The curtains themselves are attached to the rings put on the pipe. Such crafts are recommended for light types of curtains. They will not hold heavy curtain fabrics. Cornices can be painted with metallic paints or left "as is".

Wine rack

A shelf or rack is used to store collection wines. For them, PVC pipe segments fixed in the form of a honeycomb are suitable. At the same time, each bottle will have its own “honeycomb”. The construction is a sawn 35-40 cm straight sections. They can be stacked in any order, fastened together, for example, with glue and filled with collection wine.

Dog pen

It is a frame made of pipes desired diameter built in the form of a cube. The side walls are also assembled from pipes or partially covered with fabric or netting. This kind of homemade products is also suitable for arranging rabbitries, only a cube of pipes will already have sides of no more than 1 meter.

House made of plastic pipes for children

It can be done with gable roof, using for fastening on the roof ridge bends with a bend of 90 degrees. The walls of the house can be hung with matter, with windows cut into it. It is not necessary to use a classic-shaped house. Your kids will surely enjoy building in the shape of a pirate ship or a space rocket.

Partition of plastic pipes (screen)

The partition in the photo consists of 3 frames with an opaque material stretched over them. The frames are connected to each other by a movable hinge, which allows you to fold and remove the screen when not needed.

Support for bushes

This design resembles a support for a vineyard, only on a smaller scale. It supports plants and directs their branches in the right direction. With a little imagination, you can make, for example, Chinese rose grow in the form of an arch around the gate.

Barrier for doorway

Such a fence will be useful in homes where there are small children or pets. On both sides of the opening, tubes of a slightly larger diameter are attached, into which the frame is inserted, as shown in the photo.

Polyethylene pipe bow

We use the elasticity property of a plastic pipe to create a children's bow for shooting. We wrap the neck (handle) with a piece of pipe insulation and fix it with adhesive tape. A string of fishing line is fixed in a groove at the ends of the pipes, which end with plugs. Do not get carried away and give the craft too large a bending radius. Leave some headroom for the limbs of the bow when drawing and shooting.

Fixtures

Homemade pipe lamps amaze with the number of shapes and sizes. It all depends on the imagination of the person. In the photo there are only a few homemade products different types. The main thing when assembling a lamp from plastic pipes is to thread electrical wire so as not to suffer with this later, because the design can be quite complicated.

Clothes dryer

Of course, such simple thing usually bought at a hardware store. But it is much more pleasant and cheaper to use a homemade dryer. The assembly diagram in the photo does not require explanation.

flower pots

The simple design of the planter allows you to arrange flower pots not corny - on the windowsill, but in beautiful coasters throughout the house. Now you can not be afraid of puddles on the floor and walls resulting from the overflow.

Homemade sled

This homemade product is quite difficult to build, we do not recommend using it as your first pipe craft. But with a little experience, making strong and light sleds is not difficult. Very comfortable, fun and beautiful.

Towel dryer in the bathroom

Making a heated towel rail from a polypropylene pipe with your own hands allows you to create a non-standard design for placement in places for which it is impossible to pick up a finished model. The functionality of such a homemade product is much higher than the usual factory one.

mobile tent

It's the same children's house. But in this case, all connections are made with the expectation of easy assembly and disassembly. Very practical thing - does not take up much space, light and comfortable. Attention to tight-fitting fabric - it must be strong enough and waterproof to resist the vagaries of the weather. The craft can be used to organize a camp kitchen or protect from the sun.

Football goal

To play ball or field hockey, it is not necessary to have large iron gate. A fairly light construction made of PVC pipes, which is also easily disassembled with the advent of winter. Although small gates can be used in winter for playing ice hockey. The craft usually consists of 3 frames, but you can simplify it to 2 or even to one frame with a fabric stretched over it.

Clothes hanger

It is a vertical pipe with small "outgrowths" on top for clothes or a full-fledged structure for dressing room with horizontal pipes to accommodate a large number of things on the coat hanger. The photo shows a homemade hanger for children. For adults, the craft should be more durable and use pipes with a slightly larger diameter.

solar collector

Device for heating water. You need to place it on the roof and the longer the pipe, the more efficient the heating. Therefore, usually the "snakes" of the collector from plastic pipes are laid over the entire roof area.

Flower pots and vases

These crafts can be made from pipes and fittings of various diameters by simply sawing off a piece of the desired height. It is customary to decorate finished crafts with colored paper, and you can place them on a flower shelf previously made of PVC pipes.

Stand for kitchen appliances

Knives, forks, spoons different sizes can be inserted into vertically installed pieces of plastic pipes. Crafts are very convenient, and most importantly practical. Look creative in the kitchen. Your guests will be pleasantly surprised.

Pencil scissor stand

Pipes of different diameters fastened together, placed vertically, are a good storage not only for scissors and pencils. For compactness, they should be fastened into one block. It can be quite a functional desk organizer.

Holder for curling iron or hair dryer

Pieces of PVC pipes fixed in the bathroom will securely hold curling irons and hair dryers, and they will not melt when in contact with hot elements of appliances.

Watering hose holder

So that the hose does not lie in the form of an untidy, unraveling pile, it can be wound on a do-it-yourself PVC pipe holder. Practical and convenient homemade for the backyard.

Picture frames and mirrors

An original and even brutal device for storing photos, edging paintings or mirrors. Looks very impressive and unusual.

Bench made of PVC pipes

Pretty simple, but you need to use good glue for the connection, because the shop should not only be beautiful, but also durable. A shop made of plastic pipes for a summer residence is cheap and tasteful.

garden bench

By complicating the design of the bench, you can additionally make the back - it turns out a very beautiful bench. You can use tubes of different diameters, for example, 50 mm for the side supports and 25 mm for the back and seat.

seedling containers

In fact, these are small flower pots or simply sawn 5-7 cm pieces of the desired diameter. Perfect solution problems for those who have plastic trim left after repair.

drip irrigation system

The practical direct purpose of a plastic pipe is the supply of water. Drip irrigation occurs through small holes that are drilled at predetermined distances. Now you can not worry about watering the site in between visits to the cottage. And flooding the roots with large volumes of water also no longer threatens you.

Desk Organizer

The device consists of segments of PVC pipes of different diameters and heights glued together. Looks creative on the table, suitable for home and office.

Bathroom Organizer

Convenient storage for toothbrushes, shaving accessories and other small items. And for each device will have its own separate cell. Looks great in the bathroom with other PVC crafts like towel warmer and mirror frame.

Shoe rack

Convenient storage, made of fragments with a diameter of at least 100 mm. The shoes are no longer standing under the door, but neatly folded on the shelf. Moreover, you can make as many levels as you like.

Glass holder

Installed above the bar. A large-diameter pipe is mounted horizontally and a cutout is made wide enough to pass through the thin stem of the glass. A great addition to a loft-style interior.

Place for bicycles

Homemade for holding the front wheel of one bike, and for 5, 10 or more. The number of cells corresponds to the number of bikes in the family. Do not forget about possible guests on two-wheeled vehicles. The craft is easy to disassemble for the winter and hide in the pantry for the next season.

Drill stand

The stand represents the cut in which the tool is placed so that it does not have to be looked for or it does not interfere during repair work, lying under their feet. Comfortable and most importantly practical.

Outdoor cinema screen frame

The frame of the screen is created by a frame made of PVC pipes with a white sheet stretched over it. Just think about the legs of the tripod. Ready-made factory options are not cheap, and a do-it-yourself screen will cost a penny.

Homemade catamaran made of plastic pipes

Pretty big and intricate piece. All fasteners must be carefully glued so that the catamaran does not fall apart. As floats, it is possible to use hermetically closing segments of large diameter.

Notebook Stand

It is a frame to support the laptop. Such a stand not only allows you to comfortably sit on a table, bed or sofa for work, but also ensures the removal of hot air from the lower and side planes, protecting the laptop from overheating.

Decorative interior elements and gifts

A creative approach will help create truly original things. When making, do not forget to decorate crafts with colored paper or paints.

Working with plastic pipes is not just a pleasure to create. This is the embodiment of the most daring ideas and fantasies. In addition, you do not need a special tool for work, sometimes a simple hacksaw, ruler and felt-tip pen are enough. Crafts can be done by the whole family, involving children in this. It strengthens family relationships and develops creative thinking.

Crafts from polypropylene pipes or LEGO for adults

One day I was watching kids building towers out of LEGO bricks with polypropylene blocks next to them. pipes and fittings that remained superfluous after arranging the water supply in the house. And then an amazing idea came to me: why not use them as parts of an “adult” constructor and make useful products out of them? Having started to create, I got carried away to such an extent that I had to buy more materials, and read on about what came of it.

Motivation

I note that using plastic pipes to assemble various functional structures is far from my invention. People everywhere have long and quite successfully followed this trend, not limited to the use of such a wonderful material for the installation of pipelines alone.

But I want to tell you about what exactly prompted me to take this step, in addition to the type of children playing described above:

  • Low price implementation. Polypropylene pipes are relatively inexpensive, and besides, you may have a surplus of them after laying communication systems at home, which still have nowhere to go. Even more than that, already used samples are quite suitable for the implementation of many ideas;
  • No toxic secretions, which allows you to also design crafts for children without fear for their health;
  • Simplicity and high assembly speed. Notoriously light installation work when installing a polypropylene pipeline, so here you can also do without soldering, since there is no need to maintain high tightness of the joints. By the way, this also makes it possible to carry out quick dismantling without causing damage to the structure itself;
  • Attractive appearance. White color, the correct forms, which, if desired, can be changed, all this has a positive effect on the final appearance of the manufactured product. Usually, at the end of the work, it does not even need to be painted;

  • No corrosive processes. It is possible not only to build street structures, but even to assemble, for example, a raft, since neither rain nor direct constant contact with water will negatively affect plastic in any way;
  • Good strength properties. Walls plastic pipes thick enough to withstand the pressure in water supply systems, and structures made from them have sufficient resistance to any mechanical stress;
  • Little weight, which gives the finished object mobility, and also makes the assembly process even more accessible;
  • Long service life, which is at least half a century.

An impressive list of advantages, which I personally supplemented for myself with the opportunity to once again feel like a little child creating “castles in the air”, turned out to be convincing enough to get down to business without delay.

Constructor games

Greenhouse

It is difficult to call a greenhouse just a craft; rather, it is already almost a building. But, nevertheless, plastic pipes do an excellent job with its construction. The finished arched structure will decorate the site and will provide you with invaluable assistance in growing many types of crops. In general, every gardener will understand what this is about, right there I want to describe the features of the installation process itself.

That such a building is not suitable for year-round operation, since it will not withstand harsh winter weather conditions. So limit yourself better to the spring-autumn period.

The main elements of the structure:

Construction instructions:

  1. For starters, I made an elementary drawing, in which he noted the most important parameters of the future structure:
    • Length - 5 m;
    • Width - 3 m;
    • Number of arches - 6;
    • The distance between the arches is 1 m;
  1. Leveled the surface selected area;
  2. Marked pipes 25 mm diameter and cut them to:
    • 10 meter lengths for lateral elongated sides;
    • One three-meter segment under the back wall;
    • 2 x 110 cm and one 80 cm in order to create a passage on the front side;
    • 12 three-meter - to create arches;
    • One six-meter fragment, which will become a rib connecting the top of the arches;

  1. Now connected all the pieces around the perimeter, except for those prepared for arches, using couplings in the form of crosses, so that a through hole is obtained at the place of each docking. For corners I used similar swivel fittings;

  1. I drove thin metal rods into the holes so that they fit snugly into the ground, but at the same time they rise somewhere else by 15 cm above the laid out plastic frame. With their help, it will be possible to securely fix the structure in one place and strengthen its base;
  2. Now, in these same holes, only already planting on steel rods, I inserted pipes of arches;
  3. From above I have them also connected with crosses, into which then passed a six-meter pipe as a stiffener;
  4. Installed the frame. For greater convenience, you can even build a door, but since not for the whole year, I got by with just a dense, retractable curtain made of film;
  5. In all joints of fittings with pipes screw in short screws;
  6. I covered the finished "skeleton" with a film. Polycarbonate is also well suited for this purpose.

As a result, I got an excellent summer greenhouse, which I safely dismantled in the fall and hid in the hozblok until next spring.

Onion

This idea will appeal not only to children, but also to adults, since the finished bow will have a fairly high lethal force. Personally, as a lover of medieval themes, I was very pleased with the opportunity to recreate such a bright representative of it.

Main elements of the product:

Implementation process:

  1. I took a half-meter piece of pipe, marked the center on it, from which I then retreated 50 mm in both directions, where I made marks;
  2. Then warmed up one side to the marked place with the help of the building until it becomes pliable. You can, of course, use other methods of melting, but I consider this the most convenient and safe, since the presence of an open flame is excluded;

  1. Soft plastic with the help of two planks I squeezed so that the edge of the pipe becomes a semicircular flattened shape, and closer to the center it expands again;
  2. I did a similar manipulation with the second side;
  3. Then also warmed up the still untouched middle and, while it is soft, but not scalding, he grabbed and squeezed it with his hand, forming a comfortable handle;
  4. Now reheated the edges and pushed them back;
  5. After the plastic has hardened again, made slits under the bowstring, put it on and, with childish delight, fired the first shot with an arrow prepared in advance.

Hanger

This simple yet incredible useful thing household appliances has many options for the execution of the material in question. Depending on your imagination and what you want to get in the final form, you can assemble either such a complex structure as in the photo, or a floor structure with a stand, but I will describe to you the simplest and easiest option that I used myself:

  1. I took a meter piece of polypropylene pipe and cut it into three pieces:
    • One is 400 mm long;
    • Two 300 mm long;
  1. Passed through the resulting plastic cylinders piece of rope, folded them in the shape of a triangle and tied together the protruding rope ends;

  1. Outgoing rope edge tied to a metal hook, borrowed from an old broken hanger.

Chair

I will not indicate the dimensions, since using a similar technology you can make both a children's and an "adult" chair or stool. So it’s better to remove the linear parameters from the usual purchased sample and already be guided by them. I also note that in a similar way you can build a table or even a small single bed.

The assembly instruction looks like this:

  1. First of all, as in the above options, I marked the pipes, in accordance with the dimensions taken, after which he cut them into the necessary pieces;
  2. Then he took the cross, which later will be under the seat and soldered four short pieces to it leading to the legs. Instead of soldering, you can use glue, while self-tapping screws will not look aesthetically pleasing, but it is necessary to strengthen all joints, since the product must continue to withstand the entire child or adult body. A little about soldering technology:
    • We put the soldering iron on a level place, fasten the mandrel and sleeve of the required sizes, set the thermostat to 260 degrees Celsius, plug the plug into the socket and switch the power switch to the working position;
    • After the nozzles are properly heated, we install the edge of the pipe and the corresponding coupling in them;

    • We wait a few seconds, after which we remove the products and strictly at an angle of ninety degrees we join them and now we are waiting for solidification;

  1. On the free edges of the tubes, I welded a tee;

  1. I attached legs to the lower holes, into the lower ends of which I inserted plugs;
  2. Assembled two handrails:
    • Welded to the corresponding tubes on one side along the turn, and on the other along the tee;

    • To fittings that go out in one direction, soldered another short segment;
  1. The resulting products installed on the sides the prepared structure on top of its legs so that the edges with the crosses are on the back side, where the back is planned;
  2. Collected the back:
    • I took the tube corresponding to its top and welded it to both ends along the turn;
    • I attached segments half the length of the back to the turns;
    • I soldered tees to their edges, which, in turn, connected with another tube, thereby creating a stiffener. Several can be made depending on the size of the chair;
    • With two more lengths in the second half of the back, I attached the resulting polypropylene rectangle to the crosses of the railing;
  1. I screwed pieces of plywood to the seat and back with self-tapping screws, which I then upholstered with foam rubber and sheathed with fabric.

If we complicate the design using a similar assembly technology, then, as I noted above, even a bed can be obtained:

Organizer

Here is another incredibly simple and original method for using plastic pipes:

  1. From the remains of pipes of different diameters cut a few neat pieces so that one of their sides is beveled at the same angle. At the same time, I chose the length for each in accordance with the stationery, for example, for pens and pencils more, and for a smaller scraper;
  2. Cleaned up all the edges with a file. This was especially necessary for pieces with a large cross section, which had to be cut with a hacksaw, and not with scissors;

  1. Then he put them on a flat surface in a "flock", but so that all the bevels were turned in one direction, and glued all adjoining walls.

The same method turned out to be an excellent organizer for the bathroom, only here I no longer began to make oblique edges:

I would also like to note that with the help of a similar technology, that is, by gluing tubes to each other with walls, you can create strikingly beautiful pieces of furniture in a modern original style, as shown in the following photo:

Table lamp

First thing here I took care of the electrical part:

  1. Dismantled an old lamp and took out the inner part from it: wires, switch and base;
  2. Cut some pipes and prepared fittings according to the creative idea;
  3. The edge of one of the segments was smeared with glue and put a plinth in it, after passing through the inside of the wire;
  4. Then assembled the body of the lamp which can take the most unexpected form. Here are some ideas as examples:
    • Robot. My daughter was simply delighted with such an idea, although I had to tinker with the design:

    • Snake. If you want something simpler, but just as unusual, then by connecting the tubes with different swivel fittings, you can get a very pretty reptile:

    • Alien life form. If, on the contrary, you want to unfold with might and main in your creative impulse, and you have time for this, then you can even build a very unusual alien:

  1. I connected the switch and the cord with the plug, after which the work was completed.

Ideas waiting to be realized

And I have not yet managed to make these products from polypropylene pipes with my own hands:

  • Shelves. The progress of the work also involves the use of a soldering iron, as in the case of creating chairs, beds and tables, but you will also need a puncher with dowels to fix the structures to the walls, as well as acrylic paints to give a more harmonious appearance with the rest of the interior. You can come up with any forms;

  • solar collector. A great way to save money on hot water country house in summer;

  • fencing. It can be, like a fence installed around the perimeter of the cottage, or a small fence for a flower bed;

  • Swing. Here it is already better to stock up on pipes of a larger diameter than those that I considered earlier. There are also implementation options here, because it can be a small hanging seat for a child, or maybe a full-fledged garden swing in the form of a sofa, which I especially like, since purchased metal models are quite expensive;

  • Removable car trunk. Yes, yes, even your car can be improved with plastic cylindrical products;

  • Pool. Of course, here, as in the case of a greenhouse, you will still need a suitable sheathing, but to assemble a rectangular or round shape from the material under consideration is absolutely simple;

  • Sled. It is possible to design not only those objects that are used in summer or indoors, but also those that are suitable for winter conditions. So, for example, your child will be incredibly happy with a cute, comfortable and light snowmobile vehicle suitable for dizzying descents from the hills;

  • Clothes dryer. In addition, you can make it multi-level and collapsible for more convenient and multifunctional operation;

  • Trash can. It is enough to create a small frame for a garbage bag;

  • Notebook Stand. If you need your computer to be tilted rather than horizontal, then a few plastic tubes connected in a certain way will solve this problem;

  • Decorative partitions. Rings cut from polypropylene pipes and glued together by walls can perfectly zone the room.

Conclusion

In "LEGO" you can play as an adult. Only instead of multi-colored cubes, then it is worth using polypropylene pipes and fittings. This will not only satisfy your thirst for construction, but also allow you to acquire interesting, original, functional, practical and inexpensive things that will be appreciated by your loved ones. Turn on your imagination and get down to business!
