The main task of this homemade device is to clean the air in living quarters from dust.
In the file you will find all the necessary description, drawings and diagrams of a homemade automatic vacuum cleaner with an aquafilter. Everything stated in the magazine is easy to understand and it will not be difficult to make an aquafilter with your own hands (of course, if you try and be patient).

The magazine contains detailed description composition and principle of action aquafilter. The second part of the magazine "Homemade Automatic Vacuum Cleaner with Aquafilter" is an instruction for manufacturing and assembly homemade device, the necessary description and detailed drawings of the aquafilter with your own hands.

Automatic water vacuum cleaner
Automatic water vacuum cleaner is designed to clean the air in residential premises from dust.

Composition, principle of action.

Under natural conditions, dust is bound by water in the form of rain, snow, dew, fog. The same principle is used to implement an automatic water vacuum cleaner, which allows cleaning the air of premises from dust without human intervention. Air intake from the room and its injection into the body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is carried out by a fan, pos. 7. Air flow from the lower part of the dust collector, pos. 10 is directed at an angle to the surface of the water in the tank. On contact with water and when changing the direction of movement, the air loses part of the suspended dust. Further, the air flow enters the plane of the dust collector, which is moistened by the flow of water coming from the container under the influence of the pump pos. 8 into the atomizer pos. 18. Dust-free air exits through the rectangular groove of the cover, pos. 2. To prevent excessive humidification of the dust-free air, a labyrinth is installed in the air flow path, consisting of reflectors, pos. 12.13. In order to reduce noise from bubbling water, a labyrinth is installed in the lower part of the dust collector. drive pos. 17, through the side grooves of which water smoothly flows back into the container. Pump filter pos. 9 is designed to purify water entering the pump. Water for cleaning is poured into the container, pos. 22. The body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is freely, without fixation, located inside the container.

The body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner consists of two sides pos. 1, fastened to each other by means of drawers pos. 6 and screws pos. 33. The box-shaped shape of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is given by the walls pos. 3,4 and the lid pos. 2 attached to the sides with the help of brackets pos. 14.15. Inside the body there is a dust collector with a spray gun pos. 18, casing pos. 16, storage unit pos. 17. Separately, inside the body on the brackets pos. 15 fixed guide pos. 11. The fan is fixed on the cover, pos. 5, which in turn is fixed on the front wall, pos. 4. (diagrams and drawings are in the file)

Making an automatic water vacuum cleaner.

The manufacture of an automatic water vacuum cleaner should begin with the selection of a fan and a pump. The fan is selected based on the performance of 80 - 120 cubic meters per hour and the minimum noise level. In the author's version, a fan from Soviet computer racks is used, but the least noise is given by fans from imported heaters such as "Binaton". The pump is selected based on the height of the water rise by 0.6 - 0.7 m. .1 - 5,10,11, development of pos. 16.17 The patterns are transferred to the appropriate materials according to the specification and these parts are manufactured according to the drawings. Blind holes on the dust collector form swirls in the water flow from the sprayer, which increase the contact area of \u200b\u200bthe cleaned air with the water surface. The drawers are cut from stainless steel bars; when using conventional steels, they must be galvanized or painted after the drawers are made. Spray gun pos. 18 was made by modifying the standard aquarium air diffuser. Brackets pos. 14,15 are made of ebonite, which can be replaced with aluminum alloy. Pos. 16,17,20 are cut from sheet stainless steel or aluminum alloy (the body of the freezer of an old refrigerator or parts of an old washing machine will do) The container is made by modifying (see drawing) a plastic bucket. Reflectors pos. 12,13 are made from lengths of plastic garden hose by slitting the lengths in half.

The automatic water vacuum cleaner is assembled according to the assembly drawings. When assembling all fasteners, use only zinc coated. They begin by installing a storage device, a spray gun and a casing on the dust collector. When fixing the sprayer with the casing paws, the sprayer holes are positioned at an angle of 45 ° to the plane of the dust collector. Then, with the help of the sidewalls, two sidewalls are fastened together, the brackets pos. 14.15 (without tightening the screws, pos. 31 finally). A cover plate with a fan attached to it is attached to the front wall. Reflectors pos. 12,13, using screws pos. 29, racks pos. 20. After that, a dust collector (with the parts mounted on it) is put inside the sidewalls and fastened to the brackets. If necessary, the cover can be bent to the plane of the dust collector (minimum allowable distance 5 mm). Then the pump holder is attached to the lower part of the left sidewall, and the pump itself with the filter is attached to it using standard suction cups. If the suction cups are unreliable, it is advisable to secure the pump additionally with a rubber ring (motorcycle chamber), covering the holder and the pump itself. After that, connect the pump outlet to the spray gun with a tube pos. 19, passing it inside the body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner as shown in the assembly drawing. Then the guide poz is installed inside the body. 11, and outside the front and rear walls are attached to the brackets. Before installing the rear wall, a pump power cable is passed through the groove in the left sidewall. A cover with parts mounted on it is attached from above. Tighten the brackets from the sidewalls. If there are large gaps between the body parts, they must be sealed with a transparent silicone glass sealant. After that, in the upper part of the left sidewall, the electrical circuit elements of the automatic water vacuum cleaner are mounted, the electrical installation is performed, the elements are closed with a box, pos. 23 (diagrams and drawings are in the file)made of a plastic case. If there are small children and animals in the house, it is advisable to close the fan inlet with a grill (from computer power supplies). To reduce noise on the bottom of the container, it is advisable to stick a piece of polyethylene foam (tourist mat) in the shape of the bottom.

Operation of an automatic water vacuum cleaner. Before use, fill the container with water according to the marks, install the case in the container and turn on the power. Water is replaced as it gets dirty, but at least once every three days with the continuous operation of the automatic water vacuum cleaner. Moving the body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is carried out by the upper drawer side, the movement of the container - by the side cutouts in it. During operation, monitor the water level in the tank, lack of water can lead to pump damage. At least once a month, flush the container, filter and internal surfaces of the automatic water vacuum cleaner (with the power off).

Repair and construction works not only are difficult, but also leave a lot of dust and debris, which are often too lazy to clean up, and ordinary household vacuum cleaners are simply not able to cope with the task at hand. A cyclone for a vacuum cleaner, which is able to sift out shavings, sawdust and other debris, will help without clogging the dust collector itself.

Operating principle

Many people know what debris is and how difficult it is to clean it up, especially on an industrial scale. There are special construction vacuum cleaners on the market that have high power, in comparison with household ones, but at the same time they have large dimensions and a considerable price... Therefore, masters of their craft create cyclone-type chip suckers with their own hands, thereby improving their household vacuum cleaners and making their work easier.

The filter is a structure of two compartments: external and internal. Under the action of centrifugal force, all the litter entering dust collector, on the basis of the cyclonic principle is sorted into large and small particles.

Large ones settle in the outer chamber, and small ones - in the inner one. It is because of this principle of operation of the filter that it was called cyclonic.

DIY making

Before starting work, you need to remember that it will not be difficult to build such a simple device, therefore, after mastering the principles, you can immediately add your own workshops to the mechanism.

When making a cyclone with your own hands from scrap materials, you need:

To make a vacuum cleaner with your own hands, you must:

  • In the lid of the container, it is necessary to make a hole for a polypropylene elbow at 90 degrees and in the side of the container itself the same hole for a knee at 30 degrees.
  • A filter is placed inside the container, already connected to a polypropylene elbow.
  • All openings should be tightly closed with sealant.

The hose is tightly fixed with a polypropylene elbow and is directed straight down, thereby setting a stable trajectory. Testing on hard litter is being carried out.

Aquafilter from improvised means

If you have problems finding a store aquafilter, you can safely do cyclone filter for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands. All you need to do is plastic pipe, the dimensions of which are set based on the size of the container (a sewer of a small diameter is suitable).

To make the filter yourself, you need to cut the pipe into parts and tightly connect it in a T-shape so that air passes between the chambers, and the side branches need to be muffled with fabric breathable material.

Below, at the base of the wide part, it is necessary to drill holes in a checkerboard pattern (for water intake). Next, it is necessary to connect the cyclone filter with the water filter using a polypropylene elbow so that the water filter, being inside the container, slightly touches the water.

Water is added immediately before using the vacuum cleaner.

Dust bag

When making a bag for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands, any material will do, but it is important that it be dense. In order to make such a bag, you need only three materials:

  • Textolite (the size is selected individually for each vacuum cleaner).
  • Any dense textile bag (many people use shoe bags).
  • Clamp for debris discharge part.

A hole with a diameter of the outlet of the dust collection valve is made in the PCB, the sizes are different for everyone, depending on the model of the vacuum cleaner. Next, the same hole is made in the bag and fixed between the textolite and the bag.

In the opposite part of the bag, a hole is made to discharge dust and debris, after which the bag is fixed with a clamp.

Cyclone was created in 1986 Jameson Dyson and since then has gained its authority in the sales market and holds its position to this day.

None industrial sector it is not complete without this invention, which has such qualities as speed and reliability.

A vacuum cleaner is a necessary technique in any home. For better ordering, experts recommend purchasing. They efficiently absorb all airborne dust. A conventional vacuum cleaner, with the necessary tools, can be equipped with a similar filter. Consider how to make an aquafilter for an existing vacuum cleaner with your own hands.

With the water filter built into the vacuum cleaner, you can efficiently produce wet cleaning indoors, get rid of bacteria, pathogens, dust mites, animal hair, fill the air with purity, freshness and humidify it.

By and large, an aquafilter is a device that has tank filled with water... The separator in the device, which operates in a cyclonic type, drives a container with water. The vacuum cleaner sucks in air with particles of dust, litter and dirt, then it all passes through the water, in which all the impurities settle. After that, the air passes through the filters, where it is finally cleaned and humidified. As a result, clean and fresh air returns to the room.

After each use of a vacuum cleaner with an aquafilter, you need to wash the container and thoroughly dry all existing filters to prevent the growth of bacteria.

Types of water filters

There are two types of aquafilters:

How to choose the right vacuum cleaner with aquafilter

  1. Stop your choice on a device of at least 200 W.
  2. Choose more durable body materials.
  3. Consider appliances with a large fluid reservoir so that you don't have to change the water frequently.

DIY water filter

The negative side of a vacuum cleaner with an aquafilter is its high cost. That is why many craftsmen make their own aquafilter for a vacuum cleaner already in the house. In addition, you can significantly save money by making it from scrap materials.

Option number 1

If you set out to tinker with a water filter for a cheap vacuum cleaner, you can do the same. How to do it? On the incoming filter, replace the paper element with a foam one. As a result, the device will begin to suck in debris with greater force. Budget models of vacuum cleaners at the outlet have a filter made of dense material, which is why the power of the device is lost. It is necessary to select the material for the filter medium densityso that it does not reduce the power of the device, but at the same time traps fine dust particles.

Before proceeding with the assembly of the water filter, you need to prepare everything necessary tools and materials. We need:

  1. Aluminum casserole.
  2. Plastic bottle from under water, with a volume of 6 liters.
  3. Self-tapping screws in the amount of 3 pieces.
  4. Metal adapter.
  5. Flexible hose.
  6. 4 screws.

So let's get started! First you need to cut a circle in the bottom of the pan, the diameter of which should be 3 cm less than the diameter of the pan. Using self-tapping screws, we attach the pan to the vacuum cleaner at the air outlet, having previously drilled holes in it.

Place the plastic bottle in the pot. In the bottle, you need to make holes for the outlet of clean, filtered air and pour 1-1.5 liters of water into it. Contaminated air will pass through the water where debris and dust particles will settle.

We attach a self-made device with a metal adapter and screws to the exhaust of the vacuum cleaner. We attach a flexible hose to the adapter, make a slot at its other end, thanks to which a whirlpool will appear inside the bottle. Done!

Option number 2

Consider how to make an aquafilter separate type... We need:

  1. Separator.
  2. Container for water.
  3. Water pump.
  4. Fan.
  5. Details for fastening.

A cover must be installed on the dust collector. Next, we attach the pump with a rubber ring. To reduce the noise emitted by the vacuum cleaner during operation, you need to glue polyethylene to its bottom.

With a minimum of effort and spending a little time, it is quite possible to make a water filter for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands. It's time to try it out and make sure that this version of the aquafilter has a right to exist. If a self-production passed with a bang, you can try.

Probably every housewife will agree that one cannot do without such an important thing as a vacuum cleaner in the house. Among the great variety of models, experts advise in order to get more quality result cleaning. With these models, dust absorption is more efficient. They have recently become more and more popular. If your model does not have a device that contains water, which allows for better cleaning, then you should not be upset.

How the water filter works

Even if you recently purchased a vacuum cleaner without an aquafilter, or you have a slightly outdated model at your disposal, do not worry, below we will consider how you can make a water filter for your vacuum cleaner model with your own hands.

Vacuum cleaners with water filters: positive points and disadvantages

Recently, vacuum cleaners with aquafilters have been incredibly popular. With their help, it is really possible to clean not only, but even the air. When you use a water vacuum cleaner, it is not at all necessary to ventilate the room, because the air becomes completely clean after cleaning.

Perfect cleansing with water

Some modern models can form a large amount of foam, but this problem can be easily solved, it will be enough to have a high-quality antifoam. Before purchasing or converting an ordinary vacuum cleaner into an aqua device on your own, you should know all its features and benefits. The main ones include the following:

  • device reliability
  • rather long service life
  • multifunctionality
  • the water vacuum cleaner perfectly cleans the air, makes it moist
  • has a high power rating
  • does not need additional maintenancewhich has a high cost
  • no unpleasant odor appears during operation
  • it is very convenient to use.

Also, water vacuum cleaners have some disadvantages, but they are insignificant and it is quite possible to put up with them. The disadvantages of the device include:

  • large enough parameters
  • such vacuum cleaners are heavy
  • are expensive
  • may make loud noise.

Vacuum cleaner with water filter

Why do you need an aquafilter

The essence of the water filter is that it not only fights dust, it also simultaneously performs wet cleaning, helps in the fight against bacteria, pathogens, pet hair, ticks, and fills the room with freshness, cleanliness and humidifies the air.

The essence of an aquafilter is a reservoir filled with water. The device has a cyclone separator, thus setting the water container in motion. The mechanism draws in air contaminated with dust and dirt and passes it through the water in the tank. Thus, dust particles are bound with water, the flow further passes through additional filters, and at the exit we have clean humidified air.

Unlike a conventional dry vacuum cleaner, you need to clean it after each use. To do this, you need to rinse the container and thoroughly dry all the filters that it contains. If you do this poorly, there is a possibility of bacterial growth.

Varieties of aquafilrs

There are two types of water filters:

  • Separate.

The work of this type of aquafilter is to separate air from dust particles due to centrifugal force. Contaminated particles that enter the filter remain in the water without getting into the air of the living space. The main advantage of this type of vacuum cleaner is the higher cleaning quality in comparison with others, and they are also distinguished by their durability. However, separate models are not cheap.

Separate filter

  • Hookah bars.

Vacuum cleaners of this type have enough simple construction... These devices are better at handling coarse dust, but fine dust is not easy for them. However, this drawback can be easily corrected by installing additional filters. One of the disadvantages of using a hookah filter is the need for its frequent systematic washing and high-quality drying. In addition, it is equipped with a fairly small liquid reservoir.

Aquafilter in a vacuum cleaner

Things to consider when choosing a vacuum cleaner with a water filter

  1. Pay attention to the power of the device. It must be at least 200 watts.
  2. Choose a vacuum cleaner with a body made of more durable and reliable materials.
  3. Opt for machines with a large fluid design. Thus, you will not need to change the water in it too often.

DIY water filter for vacuum cleaner

Among all the advantages of vacuum cleaners with a water filter, its main disadvantage is its cost. For this reason, many "jack of all trades" make an aquafilter for different models do it yourself vacuum cleaner. You can save not only on buying a vacuum cleaner, but also make the filter itself from materials that are always at hand.

How to make a filter for a modern vacuum cleaner with your own hands

If you decide to make a filter for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands, and the power of your home vacuum cleaner wants to be better, at the same time you can correct it. What to do about it? First of all, it is necessary to replace the paper component with foam rubber on the incoming filter. This will enable the unit to suck in dirt and dust with greater force. In most inexpensive versions of vacuum cleaners, the suction power is lost due to the dense material on the filter. Therefore, it can also be replaced with a less dense one, thus increasing the overall power of the device. But at the same time, small dust particles will linger on the filter no worse.

Before you start assembling a homemade aquafilter, you need to prepare all the materials that you need. Among them:

  • Aluminum pan.
  • 6 liter plastic water bottle.
  • Three self-tapping screws.
  • Metal adapter.
  • Flexible hose.
  • Four screws.

So let's start with what's in the day aluminum pan cut out a circle. Its diameter should be about 3 cm less than the diameter of the pan. Then you need to attach this structure to the vacuum cleaner with self-tapping screws in the place where the air comes out. Pre-drill holes in the pan.

Simple materials - great end result

We take a plastic bottle and put it in a saucepan. Several holes must be made in the eggplant so that clean, filtered air can escape. Pour about 1-1.5 liters of water into it. By analogy with a commercial vacuum cleaner, dust-polluted air will penetrate the water, in which the dirt will remain.

With metal adapters and screws, this whole structure is attached to the exhaust outlet of the vacuum cleaner. On the one hand, we attach the corrugated hose to the adapter, and on the other, we make a slot in it, which will give the effect of a whirlpool inside the eggplant.

The second option for a homemade filter is separate

Now we will figure out how you can make a water filter, which is considered separate. For him, you need to prepare the following:

  1. Separator
  2. The container in which the water will be
  3. modern pump version
  4. small fan
  5. details that can be used to secure all elements.

When everything is ready, install the hood directly onto the dust box. Next, you need to carefully attach the pump, which will have a rubber ring. In order to be able to significantly reduce the noise from the device that occurs directly during operation, it is enough to glue a small amount of polyethylene to the bottom of the vacuum cleaner.

Use of scrap materials

As you can see, with a little time, a minimum of effort and financial costs, you can build yourself a pretty good water filter for the most ordinary vacuum cleaner. There is nothing difficult in such work, you don't even need to have any special knowledge. It is enough to follow the instructions provided by us and you will definitely get a high-quality water filter, which in its characteristics will not differ much from the purchased and more expensive device. If the assembly process was successful, then you can immediately try out the fruits of your labors.

What is a water filter for?

With the water filter built into the vacuum cleaner, you will be able to effectively wet the room, get rid of bacteria, pathogens, dust mites, animal hair, fill the air with purity, freshness and humidify it.
