With a drill and special drill for glass we drill a hole for the clockwork

We print the dial and the bird on the printer. We glue the printouts to the back of the plate with PVA glue diluted with water

On the back of the plate, apply abundantly PVA glue, no longer diluted

Smear the glue on the plate with a brush

After the glue dries, take a piece of sponge, moisten it with white acrylic paint and apply paint to a plate

We cover the plate with paint completely, without smearing, with tear-off movements

Without waiting for the paint to dry, dry it with a hot hairdryer

Decorating a plate using decoupage technique.

Materials:
napkin
acrylic
one-step craquelure
pastel
clockwork and hands
varnish

Step 1: drill a hole in the center of the plate for the clockwork

Step 2: degrease the work surface with an alcohol-based liquid

Step 3: protamp with titanium white with a sponge in two layers

Step 4: we break through the napkin in the form of a circle with a diameter smaller than the plate so as to fill only the middle

Step 5: remove the extra layers of napkin ... leaving only the paint layer and glue it with decoupage glue to the center of the plate. Dry

Step 6: preparing the palette. Lay out acrylic paints in contrasting colors (in this case: dark red, orange and yellow). Dip the sponge in turn in all colors on the palette and pad the edges of the plate. We get a bright rim, closer to the middle we tamp it yellow... Dry with a hair dryer until the surface is completely dry

Step 7: apply a one-component craquelure with a brush. Dry with a hairdryer until light sticking.

Step 8: mix whitewash with a drop yellow colorto get the top layer. We apply the resulting color to the craquelure with a sponge, twice in one place, we don’t bother !!! otherwise, we get ugly smeared lumps. Cracks appear instantly, right in front of your eyes. Dry with a hair dryer until dry

Step 9: take a pastel (you can also use eyeshadow). We crush it with a knife and start rubbing it into the cracked edges of the plate. We get a rainbow bezel!

Step 10: glue decorative elements on the border of the rim and napkin with super glue. Glue the prepared dial to the center of the plate. Dry.

Step 11: cut out individual elements from the remaining napkin, place it on the rim, glue it, dry it. For brightness, outline the numbers with a black outline. Dry. We cover the entire surface of the plate with acrylic varnish in several layers with alternate drying

Various types of watches accompany us everywhere. Wall, floor, wrist. It is simply impossible to do without them. They are used not only for a practical purpose, to tell the time, but also to decorate the interior. It is quite possible to make a watch with your own hands from scrap materials.

From vinyl records or discs

Cover the drawing with acrylic varnish in three coats. Make suitable numbers and fix on the dial in the right places.

Make a hole in the center of the plate and fix the mechanism with arrows, which can be of a different color as you wish. Install the battery, put right time and hang the clock on the wall in the right place.

Coffee theme

prepare the clockwork and the base in the shape of a circle;
for a beautiful decoupage of a watch with your own hands, choose a suitable picture with fragments related to coffee;
apply a primer to the surface and paint one side in white colorand the other brown. Leave the product to dry;
cover with adhesive (glue diluted with water - 1: 1);
lay the picture evenly so that bubbles do not form, and dry;
schematically depict the location of the grains;
arrange the coffee beans in the diagram according to the diagram. Lay the grains close to each other, securing with stained glass paint;
leave the product to dry, then apply the numbers and mount the clockwork;
fix the decorated surface of the dial with colorless acrylic varnish.

Wooden clock

It is even easier to make original and stylish wooden clocks for ethnic styles of the interior:

take a cut from a tree suitable shape and size, no more than 3 cm thick;
clean from bark and unnecessary parts, if necessary, adjust the shape of the future dial;
make a hole in the center for installing the hands and clockwork;
apply varnish to the surface and let it dry;
mount the mechanism and secure the numbers.

Plate clock
