A gas boiler without electricity is a traditional model of a floor-standing appliance that does not require additional energy sources to operate. It is advisable to install devices of this type if there are regular power outages. For example, this is true in rural areas or suburban areas. Manufacturing companies manufacture modern models of double-circuit boilers.

They have a reduced gas consumption, as well as the ability to adjust heating.

Many popular manufacturers produce different models non-volatile gas boilers, and they are quite effective and of high quality. Recently, wall-mounted models of such devices have appeared. The design of the heating system must be such that the coolant circulates according to the principle of convection.

This means that the heated water rises up and enters the system through the branch pipe. In order for the circulation not to stop, it is necessary to arrange the pipes at an angle, and they must also be large in diameter. And, of course, it is very important that the gas boiler itself is at the lowest point of the heating system.

Such heating equipment can be separately connected to the pump, which is powered from the mains. By connecting it to the heating system, it will pump the coolant, thereby improving the operation of the boiler. And if you turn off the pump, then the coolant will again begin to circulate by gravity.

Boiler construction without electricity

The gas boiler, independent of electricity, has:

  • 2 gas burners - pilot and main;
  • Combustion chamber - in such devices it is open for better traction;
  • Automation;
  • Boiler safety system - thermal sensor, reverse draft valve (it is needed to adjust the chimney operation);
  • Heat exchanger.

The system of a non-volatile gas boiler must have an open expansion tank, since when the coolant heats up, the liquid expands. And this is what promotes the circulation of the coolant. But when it expands, surpluses are formed, which enter this tank.

Ignition in such gas boilers occurs using a piezoelectric element, which acts when a button is pressed. With its help, the pilot burner is ignited, and already from it the main gas burner is ignited, thanks to which the heat exchanger is heated and the required liquid temperature is maintained.

After a while, the gas does not flow and the burner goes out, after the heat exchanger has cooled down, everything is repeated.

Advantages and disadvantages of independent boilers

The main advantages of the operation of this gas boiler is precisely the lack of connection to the mains. Since this is an additional savings and you do not need to connect the outlet.

It should be noted that these devices are easy to operate. And also the security of the system. This type of boilers is the simplest. And suitable for heating like small houseand large rooms.

Silence during operation of a double-circuit device independent of electricity is ensured by the absence of pumps. Such devices are reliable and durable. This can be explained by the fact that such boilers have been produced for a long time and their operation has been tested in practice for more than one year. An independent boiler provides high efficiency. A double-circuit boiler easily provides the desired temperature in the house, as well as hot water.

In such devices, the heat exchanger lasts much longer than in other models of gas boilers.

Let's note the disadvantages of such a boiler:

A gas boiler independent of electricity should only be installed in a house with good chimney draft. This is essential for the safe and high-quality operation of the device. If the thrust is insufficient, then the fire will constantly extinguish, due to the operating reverse thrust valve.

In the presence of an independent gas boiler, the heating system does not always work as we would like. For example, if you install pipes of the wrong diameter or do not calculate the desired location. All of these factors are very important. It is better to design a heating system for a specific gas boiler, then there is a guarantee that no failures will occur.

Boiler operation

Since there is no access to electricity, the double-circuit boiler has a thermogenerator that stops the gas supply to the burner. This happens when the thermal carrier is exposed to the regulator. Automation resumes gas supply to the boiler when the thermal carrier cools down to a certain temperature.

Ignition takes place using a piezoelectric element, which ignites the ignition burner (it burns constantly) and, if necessary, ignites the main heat source from it. It also helps to heat the liquid in the heating system.

Types of independent gas boilers

You can distinguish the following types of boilers operating without electricity:

  • single-circuit - apply only to the heating system;
  • double-circuit - these are devices that, in addition to heating, also provide hot water for household needs.
Figure: one

Double-circuit gas boilers, in turn, provide hot water in 2 ways: flow and storage.

Selecting an independent boiler model

Gas boilers operating without electricity must fully correspond to the area of \u200b\u200bthe heated room. That is, the power must match the load.

Double-circuit models of foreign manufacturing companies are often more expensive than domestic ones, since they are more improved and have attractive design... The manufacturer of a gas boiler must be chosen carefully, it is important to make sure that the service center of this company is in the city or nearby. Since, if necessary, it will be possible to find spare parts for repairing the device there.

The most popular manufacturers of such equipment are Alphatherm, Beretta - Italy, Attack - Slovakia, Protherm - Czech Republic, Electrolux - Sweden.

Figure: 2

Domestic models of independent boilers are cheaper than foreign ones, but are considered less reliable. But it should be given credit that such devices are already adapted to our weather conditions and the parameters under which they must work.

A gas boiler without electricity can be selected with a steel or cast iron heat exchanger. The most popular are cast iron devices. This is explained by the service life: cast iron will last 30 years, and steel 15-20 years.

Cast iron is not only stronger, but also the design provides that the walls of such a heat exchanger are thicker. This prevents the walls of the heat exchanger from burning out. Such a device has been tested in practice.

Also, the heat exchanger can corrode. A cast iron appliance is much less susceptible to such damage than steel. Corrosion on the heat exchanger occurs when the temperature drops to the point where condensation appears. And this very moisture leads to corrosive processes.

Also, the cast-iron heat exchanger, by its design, consists of sections. If necessary, you can change the section, and not the entire device. Nowadays, impurities are added to the cast iron alloy, which make it even stronger. This means that it will not crack if transported incorrectly.

Rules for installing a gas boiler

It is better to install a gas boiler independent of electricity in separate rooms with a good ventilation system, and also provide air flow there. Because of the open combustion chamber, air is constantly "eaten" by the boiler. Combustion products are removed through the chimney.

Figure: 3

When installing a wall-mounted independent gas boiler, a coaxial chimney is installed, the design of which is called "pipe in pipe". The coaxial chimney is not suitable for all devices and a specialist recommendation is needed.

If necessary, you can install a circulation pump. Mount it through the bypass. It is recommended to install taps near it: 1 at the entrance and 1 at the exit. A separate tap is placed on the main line, which must be shut off when the pump is running. If there are such taps, if necessary, you can repair the pump without draining the water from the system. And it is recommended to install a filter in front of the pump.

There are certain conditions that must be supported:

  • the boiler room must have a positive temperature;
  • fire safety. The walls in the boiler room must be fitted with non-flammable material. As a rule, asbestos or metal sheets are used.
  • The first start-up of the boiler after installation must be supervised by a specialist.

The specialist must also check the correct installation of the chimney. It is necessary that it complies with the capacity of a gas boiler without electricity and the standards that are established by competent organizations. It is better that for each heating device there is separate pipe... According to the standard, the chimney should be straight, if it is impossible to make it so, then there should be no more than 3 turns.

The length of the chimney should be about 5 meters. It is necessary to select and install a heating unit in accordance with the pressure in the gas pipeline, usually it is 1.270 MPa. The documentation that is attached to the device (passport) always indicates the permissible limits of this indicator. Sometimes gas pressure indicators in winter time decline. Knowing this feature of the region, you need to make the choice of a device accordingly without access to electricity.

The climatic company "Termomir" offers a wide range of heating boilers of various types and countries of production - Russia, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, etc. Read the information or call our consultants to select the required boiler model.

A heating boiler is a device that, using the combustion of fuel (or electricity), heats the coolant for water heating of premises through a system of batteries and radiators.
The boilers are designed to heat rooms from 30 sq. m and up to several thousand. Domestic low-power heating boilers are used for heating and hot water supply of private and country houses, cottages, summer cottages, garages, workshops, cafes and restaurants, schools and other educational and children's institutions, and also swimming pools, baths and saunas. In addition, they are used for individual apartment heating.
Industrial and industrial boilers are designed to heat workshops, warehouses, hangars, enterprises, and other large buildings and premises. For objects of a very large area in the heating system, it is allowed to combine boilers into a cascade of two or more devices.
Small and simple heating boilers can be placed in the basement, in the attic, in the garage, even in the kitchen and bathroom. The installation of high capacity floor standing boilers is recommended in a separate boiler room. Some boiler models have outdoor (outdoor) installation.

Modern boilers of the new generation are equipped with programmable control units with various automatic settings and functions (for example, a weather-dependent control system), as well as devices for remote control of the boiler - a GSM module (regulation of the device via SMS messages).

The selection of heating boilers is carried out according to the main parameters: the required heating area and boiler power, type of energy carrier, number of heating circuits, type of combustion chamber, type of burner, type of installation, steel or cast iron heat exchanger, etc.

To determine the power of a heating boiler for heating a house or apartment, a simple formula is used - 1 kW of boiler power for heating 10 m 2 of a well-insulated room with a ceiling height of up to 3 m. etc. the boiler output must be increased. It is also recommended to increase the power (about 20-50%) while providing a boiler and hot water supply (especially if it is necessary to heat the water in the pool). Our consultants will help you calculate the exact power of the boiler by the heating area.

Comparison of heating boilers by type of fuel:

"Economy class" - inexpensive and simple boilers, the service life is shorter than that of boilers of a higher category. Some manufacturers have budget models of boilers, for example,

Autonomous heating systems based on gas boilers are considered the most convenient and efficient.

They hardly need constant attention, able to maintain a constant temperature, are protected from possible problems - overheating, flame damping, other malfunctions.

However, most units are too dependent on the availability and quality of power supply.

Any voltage drops become the reasons for the failure of the control board or other devices, and a power outage completely stops the operation of the heating system.

To solve these problems, non-volatile gas boilers are used.

Non-volatile gas boilers operate only with mechanical assemblies and parts. They do not need to use electricity, which greatly increases their capabilities.

In the conditions of Russia, where in winter the temperature drops much below zero, it is important to ensure the continuity of the heating systems. At the same time, most of the power grids are overloaded, and in some villages there is no connection at all.

This makes non-volatile boilers a popular and preferred unit. All the main units of the unit are controlled only by mechanical methods, but this does not impair the quality of heating the house.

Non-volatile boilers are devoid of many parts, which simplifies the design and makes the operation more stable and reliable. Most users do not consider the lack of remote control and other additional functions a significant drawback.

Everyone understands that many add-ons make the device more vulnerable and unreliable.

NOTE!

The design of non-volatile boilers arose much earlier than more modern dependent units. The long period of existence has allowed manufacturers to work out assembly technologies and achieve high performance indicators.

What is the difference from the usual?

The difference between a non-volatile boiler is the absence of all units that need power. There is no built-in circulation pump, turbofan.

The control is carried out using mechanical devices - valves, mechanical sensors, regulators... This makes the design very simple and reliable, but all processes take place naturally.

For example, smoke removal is carried out using a stove draft in the chimney. The air is taken directly from the room. These features make the operating mode dependent on the mass of external factors..

For example, chimney draft changes with weather, wind direction and strength. Drafts can disrupt flames. In addition, the room needs good ventilation, since the boiler actively burns out oxygen.

Many users solve these problems by installing external devices - circulation pump and turbo nozzles to enhance and stabilize traction. This makes the operating mode more intense and even.

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages of non-volatile boilers include:

  • there is no dependence on the availability and quality of power supply;
  • simplicity of design, absence of minor details;
  • guaranteed continuity of the heating process at home;
  • boiler cost and renovation works significantly lower than that of volatile models;
  • maintenance and cleaning can be done by yourself.
  • the protection system is limited to a few sensors;
  • there is no possibility to carry out remote control;
  • the operation of the boiler depends on external factors that cannot be controlled.

Despite some disadvantages, non-volatile boilers are a practical and reliable solution. In some settlements they have no competitors due to power outages.

Device

The main elements of non-volatile units are the primary (main) heat exchanger and gas burner. They provide the main function of the boiler.

In addition, the structure includes:

  • three-way valve, in which the temperature of the coolant is brought to the set value;
  • gas equipment providing control and fuel supply;
  • secondary heat exchanger (only for dual-circuit models);
  • temperature and pressure sensors.

The list of units is small, but this is the main advantage of non-volatile boilers. The fewer parts, the higher the strength and resistance to loads of the structure as a whole.

Views

There are not so many varieties of non-volatile boilers as there are more modern dependent models. For example, there are no turbocharged units (with mechanical air supply).

There are the following varieties:

  • single-circuit. Provide only heating of the heating agent for the heating circuit;
  • double-circuit. They perform two functions - heating the coolant and preparing hot water supply.

By installation method:

  • wall. They are installed in a hinged way on load-bearing walls or strong vertical surfaces;
  • floor. installed on the floor or on a non-combustible stand. Most non-volatile units are made in floor-standing design;
  • parapet. These are units that have the characteristics of several groups of gas boilers. They have a lot of features that make them practical and user-friendly.

NOTE!

As a rule, non-volatile boilers have a floor-standing single-circuit design. This is the simplest and most reliable option. This approach allows you to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of coolant to the heating system in difficult conditions.

Principle of operation

The operation of a non-volatile boiler is based on flow heating of the coolant in the flame of a gas burner. The liquid enters the boiler, passes the heating stage and enters the three-way valve.

There, a colder "return" is mixed in a certain ratio. This allows you to give the coolant the temperature set by the mode. If the boiler is double-circuit, then a secondary heat exchanger is installed between the main heat exchanger and the three-way valve to prepare hot water supply.

Smoke is removed by natural draft, therefore, a connection to a communal chimney of sufficient length is required.

Liquid circulation also occurs naturally, which requires compliance with the standard slope when installing the system.

Alas, even in the Moscow region, not all cities and towns have high-quality and reliable power supply, let alone the settlements remote from the center. Voltage in country houses often differs from the nominal by tens of percent, emergency power outages can last for weeks. In such conditions, creating a heating system based on a volatile boiler is very reckless. It is more reasonable to use a non-volatile methane boiler, which does not consume electricity from the network. What are the features of this technique and what does the market offer?

Application area

Non-volatile gas fired boilers are used in heating systems with natural or forced circulation of the heat carrier, as well as in hot water systems. Prepared water or, if not prohibited by the manufacturer, household antifreeze such as Hot Blood, Dixis, "Teplyi Dom-65", "Olga" can be used as a coolant. Most often, non-volatile gas boilers are used in the residential sector - for heating apartments, country houses permanent residence... Less commonly, they are used for heating small commercial buildings.
All devices that have successfully passed certification in the Russian Federation operate on natural gas with a nominal pressure of 1274 Pa (130 mm water column) in accordance with GOST 5542–87. When replacing the nozzles (main burner and igniter), some models can operate on liquefied (balloon) gas.

The most widespread in the Russian Federation are single-circuit non-volatile boilers intended for heating. The heat exchangers of the heating circuit are made of cast iron or steel. Models of boilers with cast iron heat exchangers are designed for 20-25 years of operation, the service life of more affordable boilers with steel heat exchangers usually does not exceed 10-15 years.

Two-circuit models are also used - the presence of a second circuit allows them to be simultaneously used both for heat supply and for domestic hot water supply (with a low intensity of water consumption). The coil of the secondary circuit, as a rule, is made from copper pipe, its heating occurs due to contact with the coolant.

Injection atmospheric burners are used as burners in non-volatile gas boilers.

Safety, reliability, simplicity and ease of operation of non-volatile boilers are largely ensured by the use of modern non-volatile automation units. In boilers with imported (primarily Italian and German) automation, the most significant savings in gas consumption are achieved due to the automatic modulation of the burner power. Boilers with Russian-made automatics are usually the most attractive at the purchase price.

The user adjusts the temperature by adjusting the boiler water thermostat, based on personal feelings "hotter - colder". However, some models can also be paired with a room thermostat mounted in the control room, which monitors temperature fluctuations and gives commands to reduce or increase the gas supply to the main burner.

In areas where in winter the gas pressure at the entrance to the house is significantly reduced, experts strongly recommend the use of non-volatile boilers that can work stably when the pressure drops (up to 300 Pa and below), without switching off, but only proportionally reducing the heat output. It is unacceptable to leave the operating device for a long time without supervision, since in the event of an emergency shutdown of the gas and stopping the boiler, the heating system may defrost or other property will be damaged by the cold.

Placement and installation of a non-volatile boiler, as well as the gas supply to it is carried out by a specialized construction and installation organization according to the project agreed with the operating company / trust gas facilities... At the same time, the requirements of the equipment manufacturer for the air temperature and ventilation of the room, as well as the requirements for the characteristics of the enclosing structures, next to which the boiler is mounted, must be strictly observed. Self-activity is unacceptable here, as it is fraught with serious consequences, up to the complete destruction of a heated house as a result of a gas explosion!

In the process of installing a non-volatile boiler, the closest attention should be paid to chimney... The chimney device to which the device is connected must comply with SP 42-101-2003 "General provisions for the design and construction of gas distribution systems", meet the requirements of the "Fire safety rules for residential buildings, hotels, hostels, administrative buildings and individual garages. PPB-08-85 "and the requirements of the" Rules for the production of work and repair of furnaces, chimneys and gas ducts. "

The chimney, as a rule, should be located in the inner main wall of the building (although options are possible). Its minimum free area is defined by the boiler manufacturer and in most cases should not be less than ½ × ½ brick. The height of the chimney above the roof of the building depends on the distance from its axis to the ridge horizontally and should be:

♦ not less than 0.5 m above the ridge, if the pipe is located at a distance of up to 1.5 meters from the ridge;
♦ not lower than the level of the ridge, if the pipe is located at a distance of 1.5 to 3 meters from the ridge;
♦ not lower than a line drawn from the ridge down at an angle of 10 ° to the horizon, if the pipe is located more than 3 meters from the ridge.

It is important that the flue duct is strictly vertical, smooth, even, without turns and constrictions. Its height from the lower level of the apparatus must be at least 5 meters. Connecting others heating devices to the chimney of the non-volatile boiler is not allowed.

Some models of non-volatile boilers, including parapet models, have a closed combustion chamber and communicate with the environment using a horizontal coaxial chimney. It is mounted in a through hole in the outer wall and equipped with a windshield. Through the coaxial chimney, both flue gases are removed and air is supplied for combustion.

Using a coaxial chimney allows you to install non-volatile boilers in rooms without vertical chimney... This significantly expands the field of application of non-volatile boilers. However, during operation, non-volatile boilers with a coaxial chimney are more often than devices connected to vertical smoke channelsare switched off due to gusts of wind blowing out the burner flame, or freezing of the flue (especially models without modulation, operating in the "ON / OFF" mode and allowing condensation in the flue).

Often, problems arise due to the destruction of the masonry wall by condensate through which the coaxial chimney passes.

When using a heating system with natural circulation of the heat carrier the heated coolant from the boiler feed pipe rises through the pipes to the upper floor, where it passes through the heating radiators, then descends to the lower floors, where it also gives off part of the thermal energy in the radiators, and then enters the heat generator return pipe. Such heating systems are also called gravitational.

Note that it is necessary to create a heating system with natural circulation of the coolant "skillfully", choosing the correct pipe diameters, maintaining required angles slope on the horizontal sections of their laying. When building a system with natural circulation, the requirements and recommendations of the boiler manufacturer must be taken into account, since the warranty for the device depends on this.

When installing a non-volatile boiler in a heating system with forced circulation of the heat carrier system configuration, pipe diameters and pipe slopes during installation are usually not so critical. But in this case, the pressure in the heating system in working order should not exceed the permissible value. In order to avoid destruction of the boiler heat exchanger, it is necessary to provide a safety valve in the system.

Without energy

For the operation of the automation of a non-volatile boiler, no electricity supplied from the outside is absolutely required. In the simplest case, the gas valve of the boiler is controlled by the voltage arising from the heating of the thermocouple in the flame of the pilot burner, which, in turn, is ignited manually using a piezoelectric element. The voltage across the solenoid gas valve coil keeps it open, allowing gas to flow to the main and pilot burners. When the ignition burner goes out, the gas valve instantly stops the gas supply to the boiler, thus ensuring complete operational safety.

What does the market offer?

When choosing a technique, the first step is to consider the possibility of using a non-volatile boiler with cast iron heat exchanger... Unlike boilers with steel heat exchangers, where it is necessary to constantly maintain the heating water temperature above the dew point, when operating cast iron boilers, even at a heating water temperature of about 30 ° C, there is no fatal damage to the heat exchangers by low-temperature corrosion.

Most of the models equipped with a cast iron heat exchanger are supplied to Russia from EU countries. Equipment of European brands is Alphatherm Delta (Hungary), Alphatherm Beta (Slovakia), Attack (Slovakia), Beretta (Italy), Electrolux (Sweden), Protherm (Slovakia), Viadrus (Czech Republic), Fondital (Italy).

So, floor-standing non-volatile gas boilers Electrolux FSB-P are supplied in a power range from 14 to 60 kW. This is a fairly new line of highly efficient floor standing boilers with a cast iron sectional heat exchanger made of lamellar gray cast iron with high performance characteristics.

Through the use new technology DROP STOP The heat exchanger of the Electrolux FSB-P boiler is resistant to water hammer and thermal deformation.

The application of NANO FLAME technology even at a gas pressure of 350 Pa ensures stable ignition and long-term uninterrupted operation of an atmospheric gas burner. This technology allows the boiler to continue to work even when the pressure in the line drops to 220 Pa.

The burner of the Electrolux FSB-P boiler is protected from burnout by preventing the surface of its flame tubes from heating to critical temperatures.

Manufacturers of non-volatile gas boilers with cast-iron heat exchangers from Russia and the CIS countries often create devices using imported hardware components, which makes it possible to obtain equipment of a sufficiently high quality, the price of which is about 10-15% lower than that of imported products of similar characteristics.

As an example, we can cite the Titan N line of cast-iron non-volatile boilers from CJSC Gaztekhprom (Ryazan) with a nominal heating capacity of 25 to 60 kW, which are equipped with gas valves and SIT control units (Italy) with a full safety group corresponding to all domestic and European requirements.

Boilers "Titan" are equipped with atmospheric burners from POLIDORO (Italy) with stainless steel firing tubes.

We also mention here the Taganrog boilers "Lemax Leader GGU-ch" with a capacity of 19 to 55 kW, equipped with a VIADRUS heat exchanger (Czech Republic) made of high-quality gray cast iron 4 mm thick, as well as gas boilers Siberia KCHGO with an imported cast-iron heat exchanger, burner and automation unit, manufactured in Russia at the ZAO Rostovgazoapparat enterprise in the city of Rostov-on-Don.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the KCHG cast-iron floor-standing gas boilers from Servisgaz LLC in Ulyanovsk. These boilers use a highly efficient cast iron heat exchanger with a needle convection heating surface, the main burners in heat-resistant stainless steel with slotted slots. The gas pressure stabilizer, built into the gas block, ensures uniform combustion of the gas-air mixture on the main burners with constant heating capacity, regardless of the gas pressure in the network, without requiring adjustment.

Well known to many buyers are boilers KChM-5-k from JSC "Kirovsky Zavod", equipped with non-volatile automation SABK (version 17; 23; 36). Their indisputable advantage is their versatility - the boiler, originally designed to operate on gaseous fuel, can subsequently be easily converted to operate on solid or diesel fuel and even on waste oil.

The main advantages of gas floor-standing non-volatile boilers with steel heat exchangerscan be attributed to their low weight, which is important when installing equipment in houses with "weak" walls and ceilings, increased resistance to water shocks and thermal loads, low inertia (devices quickly respond to changes in heat demand) and even more democratic than boilers with cast iron heat exchangers, price.

Among the imported equipment, we note the single-circuit non-volatile floor-standing gas boilers Dakon of the P lux series, the maximum power of which is in the range of 18-50 kW. Appliances are designed for heating various premises and can be integrated into a system with natural or forced circulation. The inner space of the steel heat exchanger of P lux boilers is formed by sections with embedded economizers to maximize the use of the thermal energy of the combustion products.

DAKON P lux boilers are equipped with HONEYWELL CVI automatics and are manufactured in two modifications - "ON / OFF" (modification Z) and with two-stage power control "HIGH-LOW" (modification HL). One of the functions of the P lux boiler is a quick shutdown during application the draft regulator, it significantly increases its safe operation.

Interesting models of non-volatile floor standing boilers "Wolf KSO", equipped with a steel heat exchanger, are presented in the Russian Federation by Protherm. The boilers are assembled at a plant in Taganrog under the close attention of Protherm employees, which, according to the manufacturer, guarantees high quality and reliability. It is worth paying attention to AOGV - Beretta with a heating capacity of 11 and 17 kW, which were developed in accordance with the requirements of GOST 20219 "Household gas heating devices with a water circuit".

In Russia, the positions of domestic manufacturers of non-volatile floor standing boilers with steel heat exchangers are traditionally strong.

For example, the Russian non-volatile heating devices of the Zhukovsky Machine-Building Plant are well-known - single and double-circuit heat generators of the "Economy", "Universal" and "Comfort" series with a heating capacity of 11 to 63 kW. The devices are reliable and durable. The use of a steel heat exchanger with turbulators, a modern atmospheric slot burner and high-quality automation units in the apparatus, according to the plant representatives, made it possible to improve the environmental parameters and increase their real efficiency.

All non-volatile boilers of the Zhukovsky Machine Building Plant are certified by the State Standard of Russia, have a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion and a decision of the State Technical Supervision of Russia for manufacture and use.

In the town of Borino, Lipetsk region, since 1997, the plant of household gas equipment JSC Borinskoye has been producing non-volatile boilers equipped with a steel heat exchanger with a capacity of 12.5, 25, 31.5, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 kW. The plant provides warranty and post-warranty service for its equipment, a "wide geography" of service centers and a quite adequate price for both the boiler itself and its maintenance and repair.

Siberia heating equipment manufactured by Rostovgazoapparat CJSC is in demand among buyers. In terms of heat engineering characteristics and design, these non-volatile boilers are not inferior to many foreign analogues. The Siberia boilers use a heat exchanger made of carbon structural steel with a developed heat exchange area, Eurosit automation, and a WORGAS burner. The boilers are resistant to large gas pressure drops and have high efficiency. Basalt fiber is used to insulate the boiler.

A variety of non-volatile boilers with a steel heat exchanger is considered to be single-circuit and double-circuit parapet boilers... They are equipped with a closed combustion chamber and are connected to a horizontal coaxial chimney. The boiler is mounted on the floor. outer wall, in which a hole (with a diameter of about 300 mm) is preliminarily made for the outlet of the coaxial chimney.

Large quantities of parapet boilers are supplied to Russia from Ukraine. As an example, we can mention the DANI parapet AKGV 7,4-U-S (new) - a double-circuit parapet gas boiler with a sealed combustion chamber with the removal of combustion products through a horizontal chimney. This model is an updated series of Dani parapet boilers with the ability to connect to the heating system on both the right and left sides. Supplied with a coaxial flue kit.

We also note the Ukrainian parapet boilers "ThermoBar KS-GS-7.0 S" (OJSC "Barsky Mashzavod"), characterized by a long service life and an efficiency of at least 90%. Working pressure of boilers up to 2 kgf / cm² allows them to work with natural and forced circulation of the coolant. The boilers are equipped with a multi-section atmospheric type burner made of stainless steel.

Parapet boilers of the Impulse and BeleTo brands are spared from many disadvantages of parapet boilers from other manufacturers. Their heat exchangers are made of anti-corrosion steel 3-4 mm thick, which significantly increases reliability and service life (in some other parapet boilers, the heat exchanger is made of steel with a thickness of only 0.8-1.2 mm).

The BeleTo boiler can draw in combustion air both from the street and from the premises. When taken from the room, air is sucked into the boiler drum from above, not from below, which prevents the burner from clogging. Thanks to the two-section burner, the Impulse boiler has a power control range from 20 to 100%, and the BeleTo boiler from 40 to 100%, which is important for the Russian winter with its wide range of outdoor temperatures during the heating season.

Boiler Protherm 40 TLO (35 kW)

Heating systems independent of electricity are installed in regions and settlements where there are serious problems with energy supply. Installation of a non-volatile gas boiler is the only way to maintain a comfortable room temperature. These devices are used in gravitational heating systems, where the coolant circulates through pipes under the influence of the force of gravity and thermal expansion of water. Equipment manufacturers offer one- and two-circuit versions of such devices.

Boiler working principle

The equipment does not need to be connected to a power supply. Structurally, it includes a thermogenerator. When gas is fed into the combustion chamber using a piezo ignition (triggered by pressing a button), the pilot burner ignites. It burns constantly, providing ignition of the main heat source, if necessary. He, in fact, heats the water in the heating system.

The heat carrier heated to a certain temperature acts on the thermostat, which turns off the gas supply to the main hearth. By giving off heat, the water cools and activates the gas supply mechanism. Gas supply resumes and it ignites from the pilot burner.

Functional benefits

The fact that a non-volatile gas boiler can function without electricity is not the only advantage of the device. The design of its chimney also ensures the safety of operation of such equipment. The channels provide for the installation of sensors that determine the level of thrust. In case of its decrease or in the event of a reverse flow, the gas supply to the combustion chamber is automatically stopped.

Design and operational features provide other advantages of such boilers:

  • automatic control of flame intensity;
  • the presence of a piezo ignition;
  • long service life of the heat exchanger;
  • preservation of functionality with a significant decrease in gas pressure in the system.

Many models are equipped with a remote control, which makes their use even more convenient.

Installation requirements

Double-circuit gas boiler

Single- and double-circuit non-volatile heating boilers are mounted in accordance with the requirements that ensure the natural circulation of the coolant.

These include:

  1. Mandatory observance of the slopes of the pipelines in which water circulates.
  2. The use of a large diameter pipe to reduce the resistance in the path of the coolant.
  3. Additional installation in the system of an expansion tank, where excess heated water will enter.

In addition, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the standards for the installation of gas equipment. In particular, this applies to the installation of the ventilation and exhaust system.

Important! In case of violation of requirements and norms state standards possible accumulation of carbon monoxide in the room. This is dangerous not only for health, but also for the life of all family members.

Involvement in the installation of the system of persons not authorized to this type of work is strictly prohibited. All work is carried out by specialists who have passed the appropriate accreditation.

Boiler model options

The non-volatile floor-standing boiler is more popular with consumers than the wall-mounted counterpart. It is distinguished by simplicity of the device and reliable operation. Manufacturers offer equipment of different capacities, which allows you to select the best option for a small summer cottage and for apartments over 200 square meters.

Floor standing gas boiler

Non-volatile floor standing boilers are installed in a separate room, where you can easily arrange good fresh air ventilation. An open combustion chamber draws in air from the room, while exhaust gases are discharged through the chimney.

If it is not possible to allocate a separate room or build a furnace, then you should purchase a wall analog. More recently, suppliers began to offer non-volatile gas wall-hung boilers. They do not take up much space, can be equipped with coaxial flues and have all the advantages of floor-standing counterparts.

Modern models no longer require the mandatory presence of a gravitational heating system. They are perfect even for the hidden location of heating mains. In this case, the circulation pump must be supplied separately.

Important! The pump must be installed on the return line and pumped water into the boiler, and not vice versa. This ensures that the heater is efficiently loaded and prevents it from operating with a small amount of water in the heat exchanger.

The pump is installed through a bypass with a suitable diameter. It is advisable to put 2 taps at the inlet and outlet of the bypass, and also put a tap on the main line (it closes in case of forced circulation). In this case, it is possible to replace or repair the injection device without draining the water from the entire system. And to extend the life of the pump, you should install a strainer in front of it.

As you can see different variants gas boilers can be an excellent alternative to electric ones in cases where there are some problems with the power supply. They are simple in design, easy to use and quite affordable.
