Food plastic is a familiar material for every person. It is used in the production of bottles for water and other beverages. They are intended for human use, therefore they are distinguished by their safety.

Plastic bottles are a great material that can be used for more than just liquid storage. It is also well suited for arranging a greenhouse. Such a design will not only be safe for human health and the environment, but will also require a minimum of money during construction. In this case, all the work can be done by hand.

Material Advantages

Many people do not pay much attention to plastic bottles. Almost everyone, after they empty it, send it to the trash. But this is fundamentally wrong, because it can be useful for solving many problems, especially if you have a land plot. Here it will certainly find its application.

A plastic bottle can be used as a cover for a greenhouse. This design will provide comfortable conditions for the growth, development and fruiting of plants. At the same time, the dimensions of the greenhouse can be independently adjusted, choose those that are necessary. This material will allow you to build both a small and a large structure.

However, it has many advantages:

  • Profitability. To build such a structure, there is no need to purchase plastic bottles separately. It is enough just not to throw them away, but to collect them. You can also turn to neighbors and relatives for help. Joint collection will take a minimum of time. Costs are provided only for the preparation of the frame. For it you can use different materials. For example, a tree.
  • Provides and retains heat well inside the greenhouse. This indicator largely depends on how well the greenhouse is equipped. If everything is done correctly, then it is perfect for use in early spring. It will be warm even without the use of a heating system.
  • High strength index. If plastic is compared with other materials that are used for these purposes, then it is much stronger.

  • Resistant to adverse environmental factors. Since the greenhouse is outdoors, it is exposed to wind, sun, rain, and more. The plastic is weather resistant.
  • Small weight design. It doesn't need a foundation.
  • Long service life. If the process of erecting this structure is approached correctly, then it can last ten or even more years.

Construction features

Greenhouse from plastic bottles Do it yourself is an easy task. Anyone can do it, the main thing is to competently approach the process. At the same time, sizes and other characteristics The owner controls himself.

There are many methods for constructing such structures. The first thing you need is to collect a certain amount of packaging. At the same time, it will not be possible to name this number specifically. It is determined individually by experience. If we are talking about a small greenhouse, then 500-650 containers will be enough.

The choice of plastic bottles is an important process. Experts recommend giving preference to containers of the same size and shape. One and a half liter bottles are an excellent option. They may or may not be transparent.

How to make a greenhouse out of plastic bottles?

Basically, whole plastic bottles are used in the construction of a greenhouse. And this is not surprising. Such a material is two-layer, which increases the strength and reliability of the entire structure.

The process of building a structure consists of the following works. First you need to prepare the material. The container is washed, cleaned of labels and other things. Soap solution will be an excellent assistant for carrying out these works. It will allow you to quickly and easily prepare bottles for further use.

After that, the bottom is cut off, as shown in the photo below. This must be done at the beginning of the rounding. In this case, the hole diameter will not be the largest place on the container. This operation is carried out with all bottles. Then they dress up for each other. In this case, it is necessary to press them well so that the structure is durable. The end result is pipes. Their height will be equal to the size of the greenhouse itself.

An important element for the greenhouse is the installation of the frame. For it, you can use wood, metal and more. In this case, the indicator of its strength does not play a special role. Therefore, when choosing a material, you can be guided by personal preferences and capabilities.

After the frame is installed, it is necessary to stretch the wire inside and out. At the same time, its step must be at least 20 cm. In addition to wire, nylon thread, fishing line, etc. can be used for this purpose. The main difference between these materials is in the service life. The highest given indicator is for galvanized wire.

The final stage of the work is the installation of pipes that were made independently. They should be close to each other. To increase their strength, you can use adhesive tape. It will fix the connections between them, as shown in the photo below.

It is important to note that this design can serve not only in summer, but also in winter. Let it be used and it will not work, but you can leave it in this form. Thus, save time and effort on assembly and disassembly of the structure. It is durable and will withstand frost and snow.

Also pipes from bottles can be placed in frames. Then you get an excellent option for a portable greenhouse. You can install it in different places. In addition, you can organize watering in the greenhouse through plastic bottles. To do this is quite simple.

A master class on a greenhouse made of plastic bottles can be viewed in the video below. It will help to competently and correctly build a greenhouse. Of course, this process is quite laborious, but if you show patience and diligence, the result will certainly please. As a result, the resulting structure will become an indispensable assistant in growing plants.

First, design the shape of your greenhouse, depending on what kind of slats you have. We decided to make a sloping roof as we only needed one gutter.

After that, it was necessary to arrange the posts so as to form a frame. And then stretch the wire around them in three rows, in order to then place bottles between them, building walls from them between the slats. The top bottle in each column should be whole, uncut, and the bottom one should be slightly sunk into the ground. So you can achieve some freedom of action, adjusting the dimensions in the process.

Lastly, add wire ties to tighten the support wire on our rows of bottles. The last thing that needed to be done was the roof and the doorway, the door to which was made according to the same principle as the walls.

The result of titanic work has been pleasing its creator for several years now.

This method does not describe the installation of a roof, an entrance group, and so on, but we think that there is a patented method for erecting such structures, so if you want to learn more and build the same greenhouse, you need to clarify this point. Undoubtedly, the resulting savings offset any additional labor costs.

For a complete list of all crafts for giving that you can make your own from plastic bottles, look at.

Every gardener knows about the advantages of a greenhouse: in cold weather, it allows you to supply the whole family with fresh herbs and vegetables. And in hard climatic conditions You just can't do without a greenhouse. In some regions of Russia, without it, it is impossible to grow crops.

The greenhouse is a structure with transparent walls and a roof. Glass, polyethylene or PVC can be used to cover the greenhouse. Many summer residents build this structure mainly with their own hands. This allows you to significantly reduce construction costs, as well as be sure of the strength and durability of the structure.

Increasingly in recent times, suburban areas there are structures made of plastic bottles. This option requires a minimum of financial costs and is excellent in that it helps to improve the environment.

Benefits of plastic bottle greenhouses

Previously, empty plastic containers were considered garbage and were simply thrown away, replenishing landfills.

Over time, people began to find a use for it, making decorative elements for the garden and growing seedlings in them. And soon there were attempts to build heifers from plastic bottles, which were crowned with success.

  • Greenhouses, the coating of which is made of plastic bottles, are practically not inferior in their characteristics to greenhouses made of other materials. They are just as strong and reliable, and you can use them starting in early spring.
  • The main advantage of such a structure is its economy. It is only necessary to find or collect the required number of plastic two-liter bottles (from 1500 to 4000, depending on the dimensions of the planned building). In a house of so many plastic containers often it may not turn out to be, but if neighbors, friends and city outlets, including cafes and restaurants, are involved in the process, it is quite possible to collect the required amount.
  • Depending on how the cover is made (more on that later), a plastic bottle structure can retain heat very well. If whole bottles are used in construction, they form an additional air gap, which helps to retain heat.
  • Thanks to the coating of plastic bottles, the crops growing inside the greenhouse are not exposed to ultraviolet radiation.
  • Recycling of plastic bottles household contributes to the improvement of the ecological situation on the planet. Not all regions have the possibility of recycling this material and the bottles are thrown into ordinary trash cans, taken to a landfill and carried by the wind, and polymers are able to maintain their structure for more than one century.
  • The use of plastic bottles to cover the greenhouse makes it possible to organize self-watering. If small gaps are left between the bottles during the construction of the roof, rain can penetrate into the greenhouse and water the plants. Rain water is much more beneficial for plants than tap or spring water.
  • heavy duty polymer material, from which bottles are made, used as a shelter for a greenhouse, contributes to an increase in the air temperature in a given room by about 10 ° C, in comparison with the ambient temperature. Due to this temperature difference, it is significantly extended summer season for plants.
  • If the coating is damaged, it can be easily restored without financial costs by replacing the failed element.
  • A very durable polymeric material from which the container is made is able to withstand high wind loads.
  • Remember that the strength of the building will depend on how well the construction work will be done.

Types of greenhouses from plastic bottles

A greenhouse from plastic bottles can be made in several ways:

  • from bottle logs,
  • from plastic sheet,
  • from plastic slate.

Depending on the chosen method of manufacturing the cover for the greenhouse, the bottle can be attached to the frame in different ways:

  • horizontal masonry
  • vertical masonry
  • masonry "pyramid".

If the coating is made of a plastic sheet, it can also be fixed in different ways. The most reliable way is to stitch the bottle plates together into a single piece.

Stages of making a greenhouse from plastic bottles

Regardless of the chosen manufacturing method, the installation steps will have only some differences.

The process of building a greenhouse up to a certain point is identical:

  • Choice of location. The greenhouse should be located in such a place that the sun hits it throughout the daylight hours and there are no residential buildings nearby.
  • Soil selection. The soil in the greenhouse should not have a clay layer. If there is no plantation on the site that meets this requirement, it should be prepared on the selected site yourself. To do this, a shallow pit is dug over the entire area of the future greenhouse, the bottom is covered with gravel. Sand is poured on top and weed-free land is laid on the resulting drainage.
  • Drawing up a design drawing. The greenhouse project is drawn up in great detail, in compliance with all dimensions in order to be able to calculate required amount building materials.
  • Foundation device. A greenhouse made of plastic bottles cannot mean year-round use, but only seasonal. Such structures are often used to obtain early harvest radish, growing greens, as well as to extend the fruiting period of various berry crops. For seasonal greenhouses, as a rule, a particularly strong foundation is not built. For plastic bottles, a wooden beam is enough.
  • Mounting the frame and covering the greenhouse. For the frame of the greenhouse made of plastic bottles, wood is mainly used. It is easy to work with him, and the greenhouse with wooden frame at proper care will serve for a long time. The installation of the frame and the device for covering the greenhouse depends on the chosen method of its manufacture.

Greenhouse from bottle logs

A greenhouse from whole bottles is made in the following way:

  • First of all, the design drawing is measured in width and height and the required number of bottles in width is calculated.
  • Next, the bottles are screwed with self-tapping screws to the base of the greenhouse (lower beam) as tightly as possible in order to minimize the ingress of cold air into the greenhouse during its operation.
  • A “log” prepared in advance is inserted into the screwed bottles, which is made in this way: a bottle with a cut neck is put on the bottom of the whole bottle. When stringing, you should press the bottle all the way to make the "log" more durable. All subsequent bottles with cut necks are put on the resulting base in the same way until the "log" reaches the required length.

Advice! Do not rush to throw away cut bottle necks: you can make an unusual lamp out of them, which can perfectly complement the interior of your summer cottage.

  • Along the entire perimeter of the greenhouse, "logs" are installed in the "grooves" prepared for them. The upper bottoms of the "logs" are smeared with glue and fixed with an upper beam (Mauerlat).
  • To prevent parts of the greenhouse from falling out under strong wind, "logs" from plastic bottles are best fixed by tightly pulling a strong wire on both sides of the wall or by installing vertical racks of timber every 0.5 m.

Production of a greenhouse from a plastic sheet

Greenhouse made of plastic slate

Plastic slate is made in a manner similar to the manufacture of linen. The only difference is that rectangular blanks are made half as small and are not aligned. Plastic rectangular blanks curved in a semicircle will form a wave when joined. Slate sheets can be formed using a furniture stapler or by sewing blanks together. Plastic slate is attached to the frame with a stapler or nailed. For those who want to organize a greenhouse in an apartment, it will be interesting .

A greenhouse made in any of the above ways from plastic bottles will be very practical and durable. Its construction will be very cheap, and the service life will be long.

Plastic bottles are not just a convenient container. It is also an almost universal building material. In the dacha economy, irrigation systems are made from them, garden crafts, borders for beds and glasses for seedlings, but that's not all! Craftsmen build greenhouses and even full-fledged greenhouses from this household waste.

It is very easy to install a greenhouse from plastic bottles with your own hands - a construction master class prepared for you confirms this. In addition, such a design is quite cheap.

Bottle greenhouse - the cheapest option

Greenhouses and greenhouses made of plastic bottles have clear advantages:

  • High strength. This material is much stronger than conventional greenhouse film and is not as brittle as glass. Plastic will not fade in the sun, will not tear due to accidental scratches and will not crumble under the weight of snow.
  • Good light transmission. Transparent plastic transmits the entire spectrum of light necessary for plants and at the same time scatters direct Sun rays. The use of brown and green containers allows you to adjust the spectrum in accordance with current tasks - shade if the plants are very elongated, stimulate flowering or accelerate fruiting.
  • Good thermal insulation qualities. In uncut bottles is formed air layer which contributes to the preservation of heat in the room. When building a shelter from plastic blanks, the thermal insulation properties are somewhat worse, but you can always sheathe the frame with two layers of plastic.
  • Very low construction cost. PET containers do not need to be purchased. You can collect the required amount of containers for construction on your own - count how many bottles you throw away every week? And if you connect neighbors, relatives to this, agree with a cafe that you will pick up unnecessary plastic, then in three to four months you will have the necessary amount of building materials.
  • Environmental friendliness. The use of recycled materials for construction (bottles for walls and roofs, boards from pallets or packaging crates - for the frame, old car tires- for the foundation) allows you to make the world cleaner.

Frameless building

The only drawback of building a greenhouse with your own hands from plastic bottles is that it will take some time to prepare all the material - for sheathing the frame with uncut containers, you will need to collect from 600 to 2000 pieces.

Approximately the same amount will be required for sheathing with plates. You will also have to spend some time processing the container and sewing the pieces into a cloth.

How to build a small greenhouse out of bottle plastic

To build a greenhouse sheathed with bottle plastic, you need to prepare the material in advance. The number of containers for walls and roofs depends on the dimensions of the structure and on the shape and volume of the container itself, on average, about 1000 of them will be needed.

Preliminary preparation of material for sheathing

First you need to calibrate the container by color and size. For plates, it is better to take even transparent light and brown bottles of 2-3 liters.

The labels must be removed, and the containers must be soaked in soapy water to wash off traces of glue, since the plates must be clean. Then you can start sewing the plastic panel. The washed container should be cut out - cut off the top and bottom of the bottle in strips and cut the resulting cylinder along the side seam. The blanks can be put under a press so that they are aligned, but you can also sew them together.

Preparation of bottle plates

The prepared plates are overlapped with a sewing machine in narrow strips. All overlaps must go in the same direction. For sewing, it is better to take nylon threads of medium thickness. Sometimes blanks are connected with a construction stapler or sewn manually with a fishing line, but such methods are more expensive, and besides, the fishing line can cut through plastic. The length of the strip is equal to the height of the greenhouse + 20 cm for the hem.

First sew a narrow canvas

Narrow strips are sewn into a continuous fabric. The width of the canvas can be made equal to the gaps between the racks of the frame. And you can immediately sew a very long canvas and “wrap” the frame around the perimeter. It is more difficult to work with such a canvas, and it is inconvenient for trapezoidal frames, but on even walls there are fewer joints and the skin is easier to seal.

Wide bottle-top plastic

To cover the roof, you can prepare a "slate" from PET bottles. Preliminary preparation of the container is the same as for the cloth. At the cutting stage, the cylinder must be folded in half and cut along the fold lines, you will get two parts. There is no need to put them under pressure. They are sewn into a narrow canvas in the form of a wave - one half is arced down, the second is upwards, then the slate sheets are “collected”.

Bottle "slate" - manufacturing steps

Frame installation and wall cladding

It is better to build a greenhouse from bottles at the end of summer or autumn, so that from early spring indoors you can grow seedlings and prepare beds for early crops.

The construction of bottle plastic is not heavy, especially if the frame is made of wood, so you should not pour a deep solid foundation. Can prepare a tape concrete foundation 15-20 cm deep or use old tires for the base, which must be dug halfway along the perimeter of the frame or over the entire area of the greenhouse and tightly hammered with gravel or a mixture of sand and clay. Waterproofing must be laid under the bottom trim of the frame.

Foundation from old tires

For the frame, even when laying the foundation, they dig in the main carriers. Pits are made under the timber with a depth of about half a meter, if the height of the greenhouse is planned to be above two meters, then it is better to increase the depth. Then, a strapping, additional jumpers and a wind connection are mounted along the carriers. All parts can be fastened with screws or nails. The frames for the door and vents are immediately installed. After installation wooden details need to be impregnated with drying oil or painted.

Frame ready for trim

It is better to sheathe the finished frame together. You can attach a plastic panel to the frame using self-tapping screws and thin strips. An important detail is that the skin must be well tensioned, but not overdone so that the seams do not deform. After the plastic is attached, the joints must be glued with construction tape. From above, bend the allowance around the rail, attach it from the inside, and attach the bottom allowance to the foundation.

The walls of the greenhouse are sheathed with bottle plastic

The roof can be covered with the same panel or made from PET bottles. When sheathing with a cloth, care must be taken not to form joints into which water can get. Under a plastic sheet or PET, a film can be laid on the slate.

If the greenhouse will be operated until late autumn, then it is worth sealing it tightly with construction tape or blowing out mounting foam all joints of frames and sheathing.

How to build a greenhouse out of plastic bottles

If you are thinking about how to make a greenhouse out of plastic bottles with your own hands, then you immediately need to prepare a place to store containers - after all, about 2000 bottles will be needed for such a structure. In addition, you need to prepare wooden planks for the frame and fittings (plastic, metal or wood) for stringing blanks. The main stages of construction are the same as in the previous version:

  • preparation of materials;
  • foundation pouring;
  • frame installation;
  • wall and ceiling cladding.

The difference lies in the way the walls and roof are sheathed. The frame can be immediately built under the frames, and the frames themselves can be assembled and sheathed separately, and then installed. And you can immediately sheathe the finished frame.

Blanks for sheathing greenhouses from bottles

The process itself looks like this:

  1. Put the first bottle on the fittings (it is better to choose the diameter of the fittings so that it fits tightly through the neck, the length of the rod is 10 cm more than the height of the frame; a hole must be cut in the center of the bottom of the lower bottle).
  2. For the second and all subsequent bottles, cut off the bottom and fit tightly on the previous one (the rod passes through all the blanks and additionally fixes the column).
  3. The top bottle is cut differently - a narrow threaded part is cut off from it, a hole is cut in the center of the bottom and put on the previous one.
  4. Fix the fittings on the top and bottom of the frame with self-tapping screws.
  5. So the rest of the blanks are assembled.
  6. Bottle columns need to be pressed tightly against each other, so there are fewer gaps.

Plastic bottles retain heat well and let in light.

The roof can also be assembled from whole bottles or sheathed with bottle plastic. Roof frames are easier to make on the ground, and then fasten to the frame. For waterproofing under the bottles, you can lay a layer of film.

Additionally, the entire structure should be covered with two rows of wire or twine - to fix the posts. From the inside, all the cracks must be hermetically sealed to protect the plants from drafts.

Additionally, the posts are fixed in frames with wire or planks.

Recycled greenhouses

In addition to greenhouses suburban area you can also build a greenhouse from plastic bottles with your own hands. It will require fewer bottles, and the effect of its use is no worse.

Arched bottle plastic greenhouse

Cucumbers grow well in a bottle plastic greenhouse

The easiest option is to build an arched greenhouse right in the garden and cover it with bottle plastic.

For early cucumbers and tomatoes, it is better to combine colorless preparations with brown and green ones, so the seedlings will receive enough light and will not be at risk of sunburn.

The sequence of steps for installing a greenhouse is as follows:

  1. Prepare and cut about 500 PET bottles.
  2. Sew a long canvas from blanks (the width of the canvas is equal to the perimeter of the arch plus 50 cm, the length is half a meter longer than the length of the greenhouse).
  3. Prepare two canvases for the narrow sides of the greenhouse (in width and height of the side plus 20 cm for the hem).
  4. Install arches made of plastic or galvanized profile on the bed.
  5. Fasten the panels on the narrow sides of the greenhouse.
  6. Cover the arches with plastic and fix the panel on the ground along one long side (you can sprinkle the edge with earth, or press it with bottles filled with sand or water).

Simple mini-greenhouses from plastic bottles

In addition to large structures, summer residents often use mini-greenhouses made of plastic bottles on the site to grow seedlings and protect young plants. Making them is very simple - just cut the bottom and just cover the plant with a cap. You don’t need to throw away the lid - it serves as a kind of “window”, which, as needed, is opened to ventilate and harden the seedlings. For such mini-greenhouses, it is better to take containers with a volume of 3-8 liters.

Growing seedlings in bottles

Also, bottles make convenient greenhouses for growing seedlings in an apartment. The container is cut in half, several holes are drilled or burned in the lower part for drainage. Then soil is poured into the resulting "glass" and seeds are sown. The upper part with a thread is put on from above like a cap. For ventilation, the lid is unscrewed, if necessary, closed.

Bottle greenhouse on the windowsill

As you can see, plastic bottles in capable hands can get a "second life" as building material in cottages and gardens. Such material costs practically nothing, and the efficiency of greenhouses and greenhouses built with its use is in no way inferior to structures made of glass and polycarbonate. The main thing is to simply collect a sufficient number of containers and choose the appropriate design.

How much can be done using ordinary materials at hand, which we simply throw away. For example, take plastic bottles. On the Internet you can find a lot of products made from plastic bottles. It is a versatile material: cheap, readily available, easy to process and safe. You may be surprised, but you can make not only small crafts or garden accessories from it, but also large-scale structures. One of them is a greenhouse. Don't believe? In this article we will tell you what it is, a do-it-yourself plastic bottle greenhouse.

You can repeat everything, thanks to the detailed instructions. Therefore, from now on, you can stock up on plastic containers, and not throw them away, and connect your friends with your neighbors, you will need quite a lot of raw materials.

Benefits of plastic bottles

Why are we talking about plastic bottles? After all, you can build a greenhouse from wood or metal sheathed with a film. But, it's all about the advantages that are inherent in the material. Let's look at them so that you can be convinced of the feasibility of building a plastic greenhouse:

There is only one snag that can scare you. We are talking about the number of these same bottles. Depending on the size of the greenhouse, it will take from 600 to 2000 pcs. plastic containers. The preparation is thorough, but realistic. All you need is time and friendly neighbors. Otherwise, it will take time, a little effort and desire. With a set of all this, you can make a greenhouse.

How to make a greenhouse

Our greenhouse will be lined with plastic bottles. The frame itself is made of durable materials to hold the walls and roof. Before you get started, you need to stock up on these bottles themselves. In general, for an average greenhouse, you will need about 1000 pcs of a plastic bottle. Each of them should be prepared. How? Let's find out.

Pre-treatment of bottles for lining

First, sort the bottles by size and color. Ideally, use a smooth transparent bottle, light or brown. Their volume is 2-3 liters. There should be no labels on the container, remove them. And in order to remove the remnants of glue on the plastic, it is required to soak the products in a soapy solution. Then the bottles will be clean and suitable for work.

Advice! This work is meticulous and rather long, if we are talking about processing 1000 bottles at once. We recommend that you do this gradually, as you collect these same bottles. It is better to set aside 5-10 minutes a day to wash a few new bottles than to clean the entire container at once for several days.

The next step is to construct the plastic walls. In this article, we will consider two options for creating a greenhouse:

  • from a continuous sheet of plastic;
  • from whole plastic bottles.

You can choose the option that you like the most. So, let's start by creating a canvas for the greenhouse.

Plastic linen greenhouse

It all starts with cutting bottles. Your task is to cut out the bottom and neck of the bottle, since we will not need them, and cut the resulting cylinder along one side. So you get a semblance of a rectangle from a plastic bottle. This is only a small part of the whole structure, like a brick in a masonry.

Advice! The remaining bottom and neck can be used at your discretion. Don't write them off to throw them away. They may be needed to create decor or crafts.

Since the blanks will be twisted, they can be put under some kind of stretch. During the time you process the rest of the bottles, each part will level out. The next step is to stitch the resulting plates. This is done overlapping, using sewing machine. Narrow strips of plastic are created. Overlappings must be created in one direction. To make the connection strong, we recommend using a nylon thread of medium thickness.

Note! Some connect the finished parts with a construction stapler or fishing line. However, this method is a little more expensive. Yes, and fishing line can easily damage plastic.

The resulting strips should have a length identical to the height of the greenhouse, plus a margin of 20 cm in order to hem. The resulting narrow strips must be sewn into one continuous blank or canvas. It is similar to film, only denser and cheaper. The width of the canvas can be identical to the gap between the supports (frame) or large enough to completely wrap the greenhouse around the entire perimeter. You decide.

To create a roof, you can use slate made from the same bottles. It should also be prepared in advance. Your task is to divide the resulting cylinder (without a bottom and neck) into two parts. Further, these parts are fastened to each other, creating a wave. You can see this process of creating slate from bottles in the photo.

Creation of the frame and its sheathing

The creation of the frame begins with the foundation. But, since the bottles are lightweight, like the wooden elements of the frame, the foundation may be shallow. A shallow strip foundation is enough. And you can fill the perimeter of the structure with old tires. They dig in half and are forgotten by gravel.

Even when building a foundation, you can dig holes for support pillars. Their depth is 50-60 cm with a greenhouse height of up to 2 m. After that, the supporting pillars are strengthened with strapping, additional lintels and wind ties. Fixation is carried out with simple nails or, better, self-tapping screws. At the same stage, a frame is mounted for front door and windows. Be sure to saturate the tree with drying oil to protect it from decay. Alternatively, you can use this design, laid on strong bars.

That's all, now you can do the sheathing of the frame. It's better if someone helps you. Fixing plastic sheets to the tree is carried out with self-tapping screws for thin strips. Make sure that the skin is well stretched, just do not overdo it, in order to avoid deformation of the seams. Finally, glue the joints with construction tape, making the plastic bottle greenhouse airtight. Bend the top allowance (those 20 cm) around the beam and fix it from the inside. The bottom is fixed to the foundation.

It remains only to put the roof. Use a pre-created slate. In the photo below you can see another version of a solid canvas greenhouse. As you can see, her appearance very worthy.

Greenhouses of plastic bottles master class

We considered one option for creating a greenhouse from plastic containers. It is more complex and costly in terms of time and effort. There is an easier option. In this case, the bottles do not need to be cut. Here detailed instructions on creation:

The roof can also be assembled according to the same principle. And in order to perform waterproofing, a film is laid under the bottles. Inside the cracks are caulked to protect plants from the wind.

Conclusion

Now you know how to make a greenhouse with your own hands without extra construction costs. As you can see, the task is easy. Even children can handle this challenge. You just need to allocate time, make an effort and collect the right amount of plastic containers. And then it's up to the little things.
