Preparing for the meeting of the main holiday of the year is troublesome. After all, there is so much to change. The main thing is to set the Christmas tree as a symbol of the New Year. And if everyone eats with tinsel, toys and garlands responsibly, then they always forget about the stand. However, a stand that is not properly designed can spoil the whole image. In addition to beauty, it is important that the design ensures maximum stability of the New Year tree. You can buy a stand, as well as make it yourself from improvised materials.

DIY tree stand options

Having decided to make a stand with your own hands, you need to remember that it should not only provide stability, but also look beautiful. If the diameter of the spruce leg is small, and the tree itself is low, then a small stump is perfect as a stand. A stump about 30 cm high is enough. You will also need a drill, glitter for decoration, glue and a brush. In the stump, it is necessary to drill a hole equal in diameter to the spruce trunk. It should also be strictly perpendicular to the floor. After that, the stump must be covered with glue and sprinkled with sparkles.

REFERENCE! If there is a cross, but it is unpresentable, you can give it a stylish look by using an ordinary wooden box as a decor element. The box itself does not need to be closed. It can be sanded a little and varnished. Put toys and other Christmas decorations inside.

In the absence of a cross, you can make it yourself.

Wooden cross under the Christmas tree

This is the easiest and most inexpensive way to make a cross for a Christmas tree.

For him you will need:

  1. Several bars.
  2. Drill with drills of the required diameter.
  3. Hacksaw or planer.
  4. Self-tapping screws.
  5. Glue.

Step by step:

  1. First you need to prepare the bars. They need to be given the desired length by carefully trimming the ends. This must be done as evenly as possible to avoid rocking the tree.
  2. The next step is to cut the grooves. You can do this with a chisel. The depth of the groove should be equal to about half the thickness of the bar.
  3. The resulting grooves need to be covered with glue, for reliable fixation of the bars.
  4. Next, you need to assemble the cross.
  5. When the glue is completely set, the bars must be additionally fixed with self-tapping screws. This is required to ensure the stability of the structure, since the trees have a considerable mass.
  6. The final stage is drilling a hole in the middle of the resulting cross. Its diameter should be equal to the diameter of the tree.

ATTENTION! If there are no bars at hand, they can be replaced with boards or MDF. Since their thickness is much smaller than that of the bars, and drilling a hole will not work, something must be attached to them to install the Christmas tree. To do this, you can take, for example, an aluminum can of coffee. You also need a plate to which the jar will be attached.

In this case:

  • the jar needs to be welded to the plate;
  • for greater stability, additional stiffeners must be welded to it;
  • boards must be glued together;
  • further, using self-tapping screws, attach a plate with a jar to a crosspiece made of boards or MDF.

After that, the jar needs to be beautifully decorated, for example, with the help of tinsel, or you can make decorative gifts and put them under the Christmas tree.

Christmas tree stand made of metal

If available necessary tools, the stand can be made of metal.

To do this, you need a pipe and rods. The diameter of the pipe must match the diameter of the tree trunk. Procedure:

  1. The rods need to be fixed in a vice and with a hammer give them the shape of future legs. This must be done very carefully to achieve maximum symmetry. Otherwise, the tree will swing after installation.
  2. In order for the spruce to hold better in the inside of the pipe, several grooves must be made.
  3. By welding, the legs are attached to the pipe. If they turned out to be of different lengths, the rods need to be cut with a grinder.
  4. All ends of the rods and pipes must be treated with sandpaper to remove roughness.
  5. Next, the resulting design is painted in the desired color.
  6. Under the pipe, you need to put a jar of water, and then install a Christmas tree.
  7. The stand, if necessary, can be masked with tinsel.

After making the selected version of the cross and installing the tree, you can start decorating the Christmas tree. This is how, with little effort and a minimum of materials, you can make a stand for spruce.

Will not work New Year's celebration"beautiful" if the room is left without a decorated Christmas tree. As well as gifts, and magical Santa Claus, and a table full of dishes, a Christmas tree on a holiday should be a must. Even in the dark, she pleases, flashing the lights of garlands, sparkling with multi-colored tinsel and distributing the aroma of resin and pine needles to everyone around. It must be bought, brought and put at home for all the New Year holidays.

It is necessary to install the Christmas tree securely so that neither the children who play out, nor the dancing couples can move it. Those who prefer to decorate an artificial Christmas tree do not have to worry about the stand. A three- or four-toed paw always comes with polymer branches. But a fresh, naturally grown living Christmas tree needs a strong stand. And you can settle it for the holidays in a cross, made at home with your own hands. It will be simple, fast and reliable.

The structure into which the tree will be inserted must ensure its stability. Maximum security can be achieved by assembling a cross from four identical pieces of board, knocked down in a special way. It should not be bulky, so the bars need to be prepared small. It is enough to cut a board 7 cm wide into four segments of 30-40 centimeters. The thickness of the board should not be more than 2 cm, so as not to weigh down the cross.

Stability will ensure the right assembled structure, not the bulk of the material. When assembling the cross, the first two bars must be placed in parallel on the long end. The distance between these extreme elements should be equal to the length of the bar, that is, 400 mm. Two other bars are installed between them, perpendicular to the first and parallel to each other. At the junction they need to be fixed. Inserts 100 mm long should enter between the inner bars, which form a nest for the tree trunk. The result is a structure resembling the letter "H" with two transverse crossbars.

The liners are sawn from the same board. Enough two ten-centimeter segments.

One liner is fixed with nails thoroughly, and the other is fixed with screws in pre-drilled holes. There should be several options. This will allow you to fix the butt of different thicknesses. The movable liner can be moved, taking into account the diameter of the spruce trunk. For even greater stability, if the trunk of the Christmas tree turned out to be thinner than the “nest”, a wedge can be used between the inner bars to insert it into the resulting void. The cross is obtained small size, so you can store it until the next holiday in assembled form.

The main decoration of the New Year is certainly a green forest beauty, which should be installed in such a way that during the celebration it does not fall and there would be no unforeseen situations.

Of course, today there are a lot of various options, due to which the process of installing a Christmas tree takes place in a matter of minutes. This includes various crosses, struts, factory-made fasteners. However, sometimes it is required to install a Christmas tree without a cross, and we would like to talk about how to do this in the most optimal way.

Standard installation of a Christmas tree in the sand

It involves the placement of a green beauty in conditions close to natural, due to which the tree does not lose its attractiveness for a long time and can please others for a whole month.

The process of installing a Christmas tree in the sand is carried out in the following sequence:

  • The tree trunk is leveled (with a hacksaw, the edge of the trunk should be cut so that an even cut is obtained);
  • Using wooden blocks 150 - 200 mm long, reinforcement is made, for which the materials are knocked down crosswise and the entire resulting structure is nailed to the end of the Christmas tree trunk;
  • The barrel treated in this way is placed on the bottom of the bucket, and the entire tank is filled with wet, clean sand.

To ensure moisture, the sand should be watered periodically with warm, slightly sweetened water.

Christmas Tree Quick Installation

A more innovative solution is to quickly set up the Christmas tree with a bucket and plastic bottles(volume 1.5 - 2 liters). The essence of this method boils down to the fact that plastic bottles are filled with water (not to the eyeballs) and installed in a bucket vertically around the perimeter in such a way that a gap is provided for installing the barrel. After that, the trunk of the Christmas tree is inserted with effort into the cavity formed in the middle, and the tree is qualitatively fixed in the bucket.

Essentially, the water bottles act as spacers and hold the tree trunk in place in the bucket. The advantages of this method are obvious:

  • You can install a Christmas tree with any diameter of the trunk (due to the selection of plastic bottles of a certain size);
  • Absolute cleanliness during work (unlike installation in sand, with this option there is absolutely no debris);
  • The speed of work (you can install a Christmas tree without a cross using plastic bottles within a couple of minutes).

Watering such a Christmas tree is also not difficult and warm water simply poured into a bucket (5 cm from the bottom) and periodically added as needed.

From all of the above, we can conclude that installing a Christmas tree is a very responsible procedure, which, subject to all the recommendations, can be performed independently.

Found. But since I promised to show a couple of options for installing a Christmas tree in a hurry, I'll have to make a new one. This is a simple matter, but you never know, maybe someone will come in handy.

I will make a reservation right away. By Christmas tree, I mean a coniferous tree with a height of two meters. A meter stump can be stuck in a bucket of sand and not bathe. But this, to be honest, is not a Christmas tree. This is a potted plant. A Christmas tree is when a star is above your head, and not under your armpit. I have nothing against artificial. Beautiful, practical, comfortable. Just the sight of a plastic Christmas tree keeps giving me the same thought. If the Christmas tree is artificial, then why isn't Olivier made of papier-mâché? Logically, if the Christmas tree is plastic, then the herring under a fur coat should be synthetic. Plastic champagne, plastic caviar, dummies instead of gifts, latex inflatable guests. Comfortable, practical, beautiful. No one falls face down with a salad, does not vomit vinaigrette in the toilet, you don’t need to wash or eat anything, wipe it with a cloth in the morning and put it away. And that's it, I forgot. Well, is it great?

In short, I am a supporter of a live Christmas tree. And I try, if possible, to follow her not to the market, but to the forest. It's not about money, it's just somehow strange, living in the forest, buying a Christmas tree in the market from Azerbaijanis. The Christmas tree is not a watermelon. But by and large, it doesn’t matter where the tree comes from, the main thing is that it would be. And when there is a Christmas tree, it needs to be put up somehow.

There are a million ways and options. You can stupidly buy a crosspiece, such as this, in the market or the Christmas tree bazaar.

I will not talk about the shortcomings of this method, whoever has encountered knows. If there is no time, opportunity, or desire to do this, then there are several simple, practice-tested ways to install a Christmas tree neatly and reliably with your own hands.

Option one. Cross.

The crosspiece, in my understanding, should be of such a design that it would hold the Christmas tree in the presence of randomly moving objects in the house, such as dogs, cats, children, drunken relatives. The only way to knock her down was to fall flat on her stool. You can make a reliable cross with straight arms and a minimum of tools in an hour. With experience - half an hour maximum. In general, according to the mind, the cross is made every time for a specific Christmas tree. She throws herself out with her.

What is needed for this?

Some sort of wooden base. Anything will do, a board, a bar, picket fence from a neighbor's fence. Last year, I bombed a pallet that accidentally turned up in the yard. It didn't turn out pretty, but it was reliable.

This time the base will be such a 5x4 bar.

To be honest, it should be wider. The wider the beam, the more securely it holds the tree. But what is, is what it is.

Tool. A maximum set - a tape measure, a hacksaw, a pencil, a square, a drill, a screwdriver, a dozen self-tapping screws. A minimum set - a hacksaw, a tape measure, a hammer, a dozen nails-hundredths.

We cut off, trying to observe the semblance of a right angle.

Let's see how it all fits together.

We measure the thickness of the butt of the Christmas tree. (Since our hole is square, then the butt can be cut in principle, made square. But if there is no experience, it’s better not to. You can grind the Christmas tree and get exhausted yourself)

Set aside this distance from the edge of each bar. (It’s better to take a little less so that the butt is well clamped. My butt is a little more than five centimeters thick. I put off exactly five.)

I immediately postpone the second distance, the line along which the bars will join. This is half the thickness of the bar.

We drill along the line a couple of holes for self-tapping screws.

Since my beam is thick, and the screws are not very long, the holes will have to be countersunk.

Done, you can collect.

Here's what happened in the end.

What is missing in this cross? As well as in those that are sold on the market. In order for the tree to stand longer, it needs moisture. The butt must be in the water. We cut off four cubes from the same bar.

We drill, countersink, screw.

Well, everything in principle. You can put up a tree. Having previously placed some kind of cap for water from below.
If necessary, we equalize the trunk with wedges.

The second way. Cup.

For this option, no tool is required other than a screwdriver and a dozen self-tapping screws. Still need some kind of massive base. I have two pieces of kitchen worktop lying around on my balcony, left after installing the stove and sink. Three more corners are needed. The range of such corners in every household is in abundance.

Everything is quite simple here. Find the center, draw a circle.

We put the corners, we turn.

You can put up a Christmas tree and fasten it. Five minutes time.
If you wish, you can take a polypropylene plumbing pipe of a suitable diameter

and cut off a piece.

Get a glass.

Pulling a pair of condoms on him from below, you can safely pour water.

Not particularly aesthetic appearance is easily draped with improvised means.
Well, like everything. It took me three times less time for all this homemade work than for writing a post.

Option three. Stool.

If it’s completely edgeless and there’s nothing at hand, you can stupidly turn over the kitchen stool and tie the Christmas tree to the legs :))

And in conclusion.

If anyone has problems with their hands, or he is a girl, then you can come and take this cross for yourself. I can even write on it "Hell daragog Raketcheg for eternal memory."

If possible, show how and what your Christmas tree is. Just wondering.

About the quality of the photos.
Since during the shooting, the shket went to some kind of New Year's performance and dragged the camera with him, the pictures had to be taken with what was at hand. A test smartphone was at hand

On the eve of the main holiday of the year, people are in a hurry to decorate home Christmas trees. And that's when green beauty fully dressed up, the gaze suddenly falls on its base, which looks somehow boring and quite even impartial. Someone immediately takes out elegant tinsel and puts it around the delivery, others strive to arrange various souvenir characters in a picturesque circle - the Snow Maiden, Santa Claus, the Snowman, and still others decide to pack boxes in wrapping paper that will depict fake gifts. As you can see, there are a lot of ideas, but we will go further, and today we will tell you how to decorate the bottom of the Christmas tree so that the whole composition looks holistic, spectacular and incredibly beautiful.

How to decorate a Christmas tree stand.

Wicker basket.

Very simple, but at the same time a perfect idea for decorating the base of the Christmas tree. What could be easier, to choose a basket according to the size of the cross of a home beauty. Needlewomen can prepare such baskets in advance from paper tubes and then paint in absolutely any shade.

Decorative rugs.

This is perhaps a classic of the genre, before the New Year, herringbone textile skirts are sold literally everywhere, but if you wish, you can make them yourself. At the end of this review, you will find a video that tells how to make one. It is better to choose the shade of fabric for the rug to match the decor of the green beauty, for example, if you settled on gold and red colors when decorating, then you can buy or sew a rug in this palette.

ON A NOTE! You can also put a rocking horse, a drum or a miniature composition of a winter courtyard under the Christmas tree. How to do it all with your own hands is shown in the video below!

Metal galvanized basin.

A very simple solution, but at the same time incredibly New Year's. Christmas trees in such basins look literally 5+. Basins are sold in hardware stores or markets. Well, or you can temporarily ask them from grandparents.

Wooden box.

Another no less interesting idea– use of wooden boxes. You can ask for these in grocery stores, or rather in greengrocers. In extreme cases, such a box, if desired and skill, can be put together from plywood or wooden slats. The natural tone of the tree looks very nice, but if desired, it can be painted in absolutely any color that harmonizes with a touch of decor on the Christmas tree.

Flowerpot.

A street flowerpot may well serve as a temporary refuge for a Christmas tree. It is only necessary to carefully install it in a flowerpot and sprinkle it with sand to fix it.

Knitted plaid.

Elementary decor, but how it looks - do not look away! It is enough just to take a very large knit blanket and lay it around the base of the Christmas tree.

Wooden sled.

Well, this decoration of the base of the Christmas tree can be completely attributed to the favorites. So wooden sleigh looks thematic, spectacular, cozy and really perfect for the Christmas tree. If you wish, you can make them yourself, or go the easier way - order their manufacture from a carpenter.

Sackcloth.

Burlap will look very beautiful and harmonious at the base of the fluffy beauty. It can be laid around a stand or put a herringbone cross in the center of the fabric and gathered on top like a bag tying.

Mini town.

Incredibly fabulous idea - the development of the village around the Christmas tree. You can put a mini fence and put benches, figurines of people, animals behind it, and sprinkle everything.

Gift box.

To do this, it is necessary to make a hole in the lid of the box, into which to insert the trunk of the tree, and pass the cross from below. That's all, the wonderful decor is ready, and most importantly, everything is done quickly and easily!
