Description: The first issue of an interesting magazine with instructions for making homemade devices, namely in this issue you will learn how to make a homemade automatic vacuum cleaner with an aquafilter with your own hands at home. The main task of this homemade device is to clean the air in residential premises from dust.
In the file you will find all the necessary description, drawings and diagrams of a self-made automatic vacuum cleaner with an aquafilter. Everything stated in the magazine is understandable and it will not be difficult to make an aquafilter with your own hands (of course, if you try and be patient).

The magazine contains detailed descriptioncomposition and principle of action aquafilter. The second part of the magazine "Homemade Automatic Vacuum Cleaner with Aquafilter" is an instruction for manufacturing and assembly homemade device, the necessary description and detailed drawings of the aquafilter with your own hands.

Automatic Water Vacuum Cleaner
The automatic water vacuum cleaner is designed to clean the air in residential premises from dust.

Composition, principle of action.

Under natural conditions, dust is bound by water in the form of rain, snow, dew, fog. The same principle was used to implement an automatic water vacuum cleaner, which makes it possible to clean indoor air from dust without human intervention. Air intake from the room and its injection into the body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is carried out by a fan pos. 7. Air flow from the bottom of the dust collector pos. 10 is directed at an angle to the surface of the water in the tank. When in contact with water and when changing the direction of movement, the air loses part of the suspended dust. Next, the air flow enters the dust collector plane, which is wetted by the flow of water coming from the tank under the influence of the pump pos.8 into the atomizer pos. 18. Dust-free air exits through the rectangular groove of the cover pos. 2. To prevent excessive humidification of the dust-free air, a labyrinth is installed on the path of the air flow, consisting of reflectors pos. 12,13. accumulator pos. 17, through the side grooves of which water flows smoothly back into the container. The pump filter pos.9 is designed to purify the water entering the pump. Water for cleaning is poured into the container pos.22. The body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is freely, without fixation, located inside the container.

The body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner consists of two sidewalls pos. 1, fastened together with the help of tsarg poz.6 and screws poz.33. 14.15. Inside the housing there is a dust collector with a spray pos. 18, with a casing pos. 16, accumulator pos. 17. Separately, inside the housing on brackets pos. 15 fixed guide pos. 11. The fan is fixed on the plate pos.5, which in turn is fixed on the front wall pos.4. (diagrams and drawings are in the file)

Manufacture of automatic water vacuum cleaner.

The manufacture of an automatic water vacuum cleaner should begin with the selection of a fan and pump. The fan is selected based on the performance of 80 - 120 cubic meters per hour and the minimum noise level. In the author's version, a fan from Soviet computer racks was used, but fans from imported heaters of the Binaton type give the least noise. The pump is selected based on the height of the water rise by 0.6 - 0.7 m. .1 - 5,10,11, reamers pos. 16.17. Patterns are transferred to the appropriate materials according to the specification and these parts are made according to the drawings. Blind holes on the dust collector form turbulences in the water flow from the atomizer, which increase the contact area of the cleaned air with the water surface. Drawers are cut from stainless steel bars; when using ordinary steels, after making the drawers, they must be galvanized or painted. Atomizer pos. 18 was made by modifying the standard aquarium air diffuser. Brackets pos. 14,15 are made of ebonite, which can be replaced with aluminum alloy. Pos. 16,17,20 are cut from stainless steel or aluminum alloy sheet (the body of the freezer of an old refrigerator or parts of an old washing machine is suitable). The container is made by modifying (see the drawing) a plastic bucket. Reflectors pos. 12,13 are made from pieces of plastic garden hose by cutting the pieces lengthwise into two pieces.

The assembly of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is carried out according to the assembly drawings. All fasteners during assembly should only be used with a zinc coating. It begins with the installation of a drive, sprayer and casing on the dust collector. When fixing the atomizer with the paws of the casing, the atomizer holes are placed at an angle of 45 ° to the dust collector plane. Then, with the help of the sidewalls, two sidewalls are fastened together, brackets pos. 14.15 (do not completely tighten the screws pos.31). An overlay with a fan attached to it is attached to the front wall. Reflectors pos. 12.13, using screws poz.29, racks poz.20. After that, a dust collector (with parts mounted on it) is inserted inside the sidewalls and fastened to the brackets. If necessary, the cover can be bent to the plane of the dust collector (minimum allowable distance 5 mm). Then, a pump holder is attached to the lower part of the left sidewall, and the pump itself with a filter is attached to it using standard suction cups. If the suction cups are unreliable, it is advisable to mount the pump additionally with a rubber ring (motorcycle chamber), covering the holder and the pump itself. After that, the pump outlet is connected to the sprayer with a tube pos. 19, passing it through the body of the automatic vacuum cleaner as shown in the assembly drawing. Then a guide pos. is installed inside the housing. 11, and from the outside, the front and rear walls are attached to the brackets. Before installing the back wall, the pump power wire is passed through the groove in the left sidewall. A cover with parts mounted on it is attached from above. The brackets are tightened from the sidewalls. If there are large gaps between body parts, they must be sealed with a transparent silicone sealant for glazing. After that, in the upper part of the left sidewall, the electrical circuit elements of the automatic water vacuum cleaner are mounted, the electrical installation is carried out, the elements are closed with a box pos.23 (diagrams and drawings are in the file) made from a plastic case. If there are young children and animals in the house, it is advisable to close the fan inlet with a grill (from computer power supplies). To reduce noise on the bottom of the tank, it is advisable to stick a piece of polyethylene foam (tourist rug) according to the shape of the bottom.

Operation of the automatic water vacuum cleaner. Before use, fill the container with water according to the marks, install the body in the container and turn on the power. Water is replaced as it gets dirty, but at least once every three days with continuous operation of the automatic water vacuum cleaner. The movement of the body of the automatic water vacuum cleaner is carried out by the upper frame, the container is moved by the side cutouts in it. During operation, monitor the water level in the tank, a lack of water can lead to a breakdown of the pump. At least once a month, wash the tank, filter and internal surfaces automatic water vacuum cleaner (when the power is off).

Repair and construction works not only are they difficult, but also leave a lot of dust and debris, which is often too lazy to clean up, and ordinary home vacuum cleaners are simply not able to cope with the task. A cyclone for a vacuum cleaner will help, capable of sifting out chips, sawdust and other debris without clogging the dust collector itself.

Operating principle

Many people know what construction rubbish is and how difficult it is to clean, especially on an industrial scale. There are special construction vacuum cleaners, which have high power, in comparison with household ones, but at the same time they have large dimensions and a considerable price. Therefore, masters of their craft create cyclone type chip blowers with their own hands, thereby improving their household vacuum cleaners and facilitating their work.

The filter is a design of two compartments: external and internal. Under the action of centrifugal force, all rubbish entering the dust collector, based on the cyclone principle, sorted into large and small particles.

Large ones settle in the outer chamber, and small ones - in the inner one. It is because of this principle of operation of the filter that it was called a cyclone.

DIY manufacturing

Before starting work, you need to remember that it will not be difficult to build such a simple device, therefore, after mastering the principles, you can immediately make your own masterful improvements to the mechanism.

When making a cyclone with your own hands from improvised materials, you need:

To make a vacuum cleaner with your own hands, you need:

  • In the lid of the container, it is necessary to make a hole for a 90-degree polypropylene elbow and in the side of the container itself the same hole for a 30-degree elbow.
  • A filter is placed inside the container, already connected to a polypropylene elbow.
  • All openings should be sealed tightly with sealant.

The hose is tightly fixed with a polypropylene elbow and is directed clearly down, thereby setting a stable trajectory. Testing is carried out on a hard litter.

Aquafilter from improvised means

If you have problems finding a store-bought aquafilter, you can safely make a cyclone filter for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands. To do this, you only need plastic pipe, the dimensions of which are set based on the size of the tank (suitable sewer small diameter).

To make a filter on your own, you need to cut the pipe into pieces and tightly connect it into a T-shape so that air can easily pass between the chambers, and the side branches need to be muffled with fabric breathable material.

From below, at the base of the wide part, it is necessary to drill holes in a checkerboard pattern (for water intake). Next, you need to connect the cyclone filter to the water filter using a polypropylene elbow so that the water filter, while inside the tank, slightly touches the water.

Water is added just before the vacuum cleaner is used.

Dust bag

When making a bag for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands, any material will do, but it is important that it is dense. In order to make such a bag, you need only three materials:

  • Textolite (the size is selected individually for each vacuum cleaner).
  • Any textile tight bag (many use shoe bags).
  • Clamp for debris dump part.

A hole is made in the textolite with a diameter of the outlet of the dust collection valve, the sizes are different for everyone, depending on the model of the vacuum cleaner. Further, the same hole is made in the bag and fixed between the textolite and the bag.

In the opposite part of the bag, a hole is made to dump dust and litter, after which the bag is fixed with a clamp.

Cyclone was created in 1986 Jameson Dyson and since then has gained its authority in the sales market and holds its position to this day.

none industrial sphere can not do without this invention, which has such qualities as speed and reliability.

A vacuum cleaner is an essential piece of equipment in any home. For better restoring order, experts recommend purchasing. They effectively absorb all the dust in the air. A conventional vacuum cleaner, with the necessary tools, can be equipped with a similar filter. Consider how to make an aquafilter for an existing vacuum cleaner with your own hands.

With the help of the water filter built into the vacuum cleaner, you will be able to efficiently produce wet cleaning indoors, get rid of bacteria, pathogens, dust mites, animal hair, fill the air with purity, freshness and humidify it.

By and large, an aquafilter is a device that has tank filled with water. The separator present in the device, which works according to cyclone type, sets in motion a container of water. The vacuum cleaner sucks in air with particles of dust, litter and dirt, then it all passes through the water, in which all impurities settle. After that, the air passes through the filters, where it is finally cleaned and humidified. As a result, clean and fresh air returns to the room.

After each use of a vacuum cleaner with an aqua filter, you need to wash the container and dry all available filters thoroughly to prevent the growth of bacteria.

Types of water filters

There are two types of water filters:

How to choose a vacuum cleaner with an aquafilter

  1. Stop your choice on the device at least 200 watts.
  2. Choose stronger case materials.
  3. Consider devices with a large liquid reservoir so that you do not have to change the water frequently.

DIY water filter

The negative side of a vacuum cleaner with an aquafilter is its high cost. That is why many craftsmen make their own aquafilter for a vacuum cleaner already in the house. In addition, you can save a lot of money by making it from improvised materials.

Option number 1

If you undertook to make a water filter for a cheap vacuum cleaner, you can at the same time. How to do it? On the inlet filter, you need to replace the paper element with a foam rubber element. As a result of this, the device will suck up debris with greater force. Budget models of vacuum cleaners at the output have a filter made of dense material, which is why the power of the device is lost. Select filter material medium density, so that because of it the power of the device does not decrease, but at the same time fine dust particles are retained.

Before proceeding with the assembly of the water filter, you need to prepare everything necessary tools and materials. We will need:

  1. Aluminum saucepan.
  2. Plastic bottle from under water, with a volume of 6 liters.
  3. Self-tapping screws in the amount of 3 pieces.
  4. Metal adapter.
  5. Flexible hose.
  6. 4 screws.

So let's get started! First you need to cut a circle in the bottom of the pan, the diameter of which should be 3 cm smaller than the diameter of the pan. Using self-tapping screws, we attach the pan to the vacuum cleaner at the air outlet, having previously drilled holes in it.

We put the plastic bottle in the pan. In the bottle, you need to make holes for the exit of clean, filtered air and pour 1-1.5 liters of water into it. Polluted air will pass through the water, where particles of debris and dust will settle.

Using a metal adapter and screws, we attach a home-made device to the exhaust of a vacuum cleaner. We attach a flexible hose to the adapter, at the other end we make a slot, thanks to which a whirlpool will occur inside the bottle. Ready!

Option number 2

Consider how to make an aquafilter separate type. We will need:

  1. Separator.
  2. Water tank.
  3. Water pump.
  4. Fan.
  5. Fastening details.

A cover must be installed on the dust collector. Next, we attach the pump with a rubber ring. To reduce the noise emitted by the vacuum cleaner during operation, you need to glue polyethylene to its bottom.

With a minimum of effort and spending a little time, it is quite possible to make a water filter for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands. It's time to try it out in practice and make sure that this version of the aquafilter has the right to exist. If independent production passed with a bang, you can try.

Probably, every housewife will agree that one cannot do without such an important thing as a vacuum cleaner in the house. Among the great variety of models, experts advise in order to get more quality result cleaning. Such models absorb dust more efficiently. They have become more and more popular in recent years. If your model does not have a device that contains water, which allows you to clean more efficiently, then you should not be upset.

How is the water filter

Even if you recently purchased a vacuum cleaner without a water filter, or if you have a slightly outdated model at your disposal, don’t worry, below we’ll look at how you can make a water filter for your vacuum cleaner model with your own hands.

Vacuum cleaners with water filters: pros and cons

Recently, vacuum cleaners where water filters are installed are incredibly in demand. With their help, it is really possible to clean not only, but even the air. When you use a water vacuum cleaner, it is not at all necessary to ventilate the room, because the air becomes completely clean after cleaning.

Perfect cleansing with water

Some modern models can form a large amount of foam, but this problem can be easily solved, it will be enough to have a quality defoamer. Before you purchase or independently convert an ordinary vacuum cleaner into an aquatic device, you should know all its features and advantages. The main ones include the following:

  • device reliability
  • sufficiently long service life
  • multifunctionality
  • water vacuum cleaner perfectly cleans the air, makes it moist
  • has a high power rating
  • does not need additional maintenance which has a high cost
  • no unpleasant odor during operation
  • its very convenient to use.

Also, water vacuum cleaners have some drawbacks, but they are minor and it is quite possible to put up with them. The disadvantages of the device include:

  • sufficiently large parameters
  • these vacuum cleaners are heavy
  • are expensive
  • may make loud noises.

Vacuum cleaner with water filter

Why do you need an aquafilter

The essence of the water filter is that it not only fights dust, it also performs wet cleaning at the same time, helps in the fight against bacteria, pathogens, pet hair, mites, and also fills the room with freshness, cleanliness and humidifies the air.

The essence of the aquafilter lies in the tank, which is filled with water. The device has a separator that works on the principle of a cyclone, thus setting the water container in motion. The mechanism sucks in air polluted with dust and dirt and passes it through the water in the tank. Thus, dust particles bind with water, the flow passes further through additional filters, and at the exit we have clean humidified air.

Unlike a conventional dry vacuum cleaner, it must be cleaned after each use. To do this, rinse the container and dry all the filters that it contains. If this is done poorly, there is a possibility of bacterial growth.

Varieties of aquafilters

There are two types of water filters:

  • Separate.

The work of this type of aqua filters is to separate air from dust particles due to centrifugal force. The polluted particles that enter the filter remain in the water without getting into the indoor air. The main advantage of vacuum cleaners of this type is a higher cleaning quality compared to others, and they are also durable. However, separate models are not cheap.

Separate filter

  • Hookahs.

Vacuum cleaners of this type have quite simple design. These devices cope better with coarse dust, but they have a hard time with fine dust. However, this shortcoming can be easily corrected by installing additional filters. One of the inconveniences of using a hookah filter is the need for its frequent systematic washing and high-quality drying. In addition, it is equipped with a fairly small reservoir for liquid.

Aquafilter in a vacuum cleaner

Things to Consider When Choosing a Water Filter Vacuum Cleaner

  1. Pay attention to the power of the device. It must be at least 200 watts.
  2. Choose a vacuum cleaner whose body is made of more durable and reliable materials.
  3. Opt for devices with a large fluid design. Thus, you will not need to change the water in it too often.

Do-it-yourself water filter for a vacuum cleaner

Among all the advantages of vacuum cleaners with a water filter, its main disadvantage is its cost. For this reason, many "jacks of all trades" make an aqua filter for different models do-it-yourself vacuum cleaner. You can save not only on buying a vacuum cleaner, but also make the filter itself from materials that are always at hand.

How to make a filter for a modern vacuum cleaner with your own hands

If you decide to make a filter for a vacuum cleaner with your own hands, and the power of your home vacuum cleaner wants to be better, at the same time you can correct it. What to do with it? First of all, it is necessary to replace the paper component with a foam rubber component on the incoming filter. This will enable the unit to suck up dirt and dust with greater force. In most inexpensive vacuum cleaner modifications, suction power is lost due to the dense material on the filter. Therefore, it can also be replaced with a less dense one, thus increasing the overall power of the device. But at the same time, small particles of dust will linger on the filter no worse.

Before starting the assembly of a homemade aqua filter, you need to prepare all the materials that you will need. Among them:

  • Aluminum saucepan.
  • Six-liter plastic eggplant from under the water.
  • Three screws.
  • Metal adapter.
  • Flexible hose.
  • Screws in the amount of four pieces.

So let's start with what's in the day aluminum pan cut out a circle. Its diameter should be less than the diameter of the pan by about 3 cm. Next, you need to attach this structure to the vacuum cleaner with screws in the place where the air comes out. First you need to drill holes in the pan.

Simple materials - great end result

We take a plastic bottle and put it in a pan. Several holes must be made in the eggplant so that clean, filtered air can escape. Pour about 1-1.5 liters of water into it. By analogy with a purchased vacuum cleaner, dust-contaminated air will penetrate water, in which dirt will remain.

With metal adapters and screws, this entire structure is attached to the exhaust outlet of the vacuum cleaner. On the one hand, we attach the corrugated hose to the adapter, and on the other, we make a slot in it, which will give the effect of a whirlpool inside the eggplant.

The second version of a homemade filter is a separate one.

Now we will figure out how to make a water filter, which is considered separate. For him, you need to prepare the following:

  1. Separator
  2. A container that will contain water
  3. modern version of the pump
  4. small fan
  5. details with which you can fix all the elements.

When everything is ready, install the cover directly on the dust collector. Next, you need to carefully attach the pump, on which there will be a rubber ring. In order to significantly reduce the noise from the device, which occurs directly during operation, it is enough to glue a small amount of polyethylene to the bottom of the vacuum cleaner.

Use of improvised materials

As you can see, with a little time, a minimum of effort and financial costs, you can build yourself a pretty good water filter for the most ordinary vacuum cleaner. There is nothing complicated in such work, you do not even need to have any special knowledge. It is enough to follow the instructions provided by us and you will definitely get a high-quality water filter, which in terms of its characteristics will not differ much from a purchased and more expensive device. If the assembly process was successful, then you can immediately try the fruits of your labors.

What is a water filter for?

With the help of the water filter built into the vacuum cleaner, you will be able to effectively wet clean the room, get rid of bacteria, pathogens, dust mites, animal hair, fill the air with cleanliness, freshness and humidify it.
