On October 25, out of 272 RAO members with voting rights, 168 people attended the meeting. Of these, 131 people voted for the appointment of Yuri Zinchenko.

Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva congratulated those present on the elections, and the academy itself on its 75th anniversary, which RAO celebrated on October 6. According to her, this organization plays a huge role in raising the general level of education in our country and the world, however, as the recent tragedy in Kerch showed, there is a feeling that we are constantly late, so it is very important to improve educational organizations complete psychological work. And in this, in her opinion, the new president of the Russian Academy of Education will help her.

“I often attend various youth forums,” said Anna Kuznetsova, the country's chief children's ombudsman. - They discuss a variety of topics, but I have never heard people discuss the problems of how to create a strong full-fledged family, how to save a good relationship between spouses. Although, I know perfectly well that the topic excites all young people, and each of them dreams about it. But without a strong family, we cannot solve the demographic problem! And I am sure that not locks, not metal detector frames can protect our children, but people who are able to change for the better inner world each of the students. And professional scientists of the Russian Academy of Education should help us with this.”

Oleg Smolin, the first chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Education, expressed his confidence that one of the main tasks of the Russian Academy of Education should be to work more closely with legislation. “We all know perfectly well that, unfortunately, the laws adopted by the Duma do not always benefit Russian education,” the parliamentarian stated. “But after all, according to these laws, we all then have to live and work, so it makes sense to make sure that there are fewer problems here. In addition, I would very much like the academy to seriously begin to study the problems of national education from a systemic point of view, because you need to see the situation as a whole and understand what needs to be done to change it comprehensively.”

Academician Vladimir Shadrikov suggested that the new head of the Russian Academy of Education think about creating his own publishing base. This would not only be a powerful help in terms of attracting finance, but would also help to supply schools with textbooks published within the walls of the academy.

“But the main thing, it seems to me, is the problem of the content of education,” Vladimir Dmitrievich emphasized. – If RAO manages to solve even this one and only problem, it will be glorified everywhere, all over the country and at all levels. And then, it would be time to seriously engage in the development of a new IT didactics, without which a qualitatively new approach to the implementation of a full-fledged digital education is impossible.”

Representatives of a number of reputable state structures invited to the event congratulated RAO on its 75th anniversary and presented gratitude, medals, badges and prizes to individual members of this organization.

In particular, Lyudmila Verbitskaya received the award “For Contribution to the Strengthening of the Nation” from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the medal “For Strengthening the Commonwealth of Pain” from the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, the medal “For Merit to Domestic Health Care” from the Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova, and so on. . Yuri Zinchenko was also awarded the medal “For Strengthening the Combat Commonwealth” and the badge “Excellent Health Worker”, as well as gratitude from the leadership of Rosobrnadzor, Roskomnadzor, the Ministry of Education and other organizations.

“Speaking about the digitalization of education, it makes sense to talk about the digitalization of the Academy of Education,” the newly elected president of the Russian Academy of Education noted in his speech. – It is necessary to consider new, more effective formats of cooperation, including remote communication on the Internet. Fundamental research is what drives our science forward, but this is not enough, it is necessary to translate it into an applied direction so that science helps to solve very specific problems of education, gives answers to the problems that concern every teacher and parent - how to teach and educate a child.
