The Promo tariff includes 1 piece of checked baggage weighing up to 10 kg. The other two Economy Class fares provide for a heavier suitcase weight - up to 23 kilograms. In all cases, the airline limits the size of suitcases. The size of one piece of free baggage cannot exceed 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions. At the same time, on either side, your luggage should be no more than 100 cm.

Exceeding any of the above criteria will incur additional charges.

Travelers who have a transfer flight with several connections should consider the following point. For all sections, the baggage allowance for the first segment of the route applies. But if you bought a ticket at the “Promo” tariff, then you will have to pay for your baggage several times - separately for each flight.

Exceptions

Each rule should have its own exceptions. So it is here. The above rules do not apply in some areas.

For example, special conditions apply on flights Moscow-Baikonur-Moscow. Here, for passengers flying in economy class, the free baggage allowance has been reduced to 15 kg. Business class passengers can take with them up to 10 kg of hand luggage and up to 30 kg of luggage. For infants traveling in any class, no carry-on or luggage is allowed.

Other than the standard and baggage allowance for flights operated jointly with partners, in particular flights of the Alliance Management Company. Airline specific requirements

• Sport equipment. A passenger can take one set of equipment free of charge, provided that the ticket is not purchased at the “Promo” tariff, and the dimensions and weight do not exceed the standard.
• Musical instruments.
• Cars, motorcycles, boats and spare parts for them.
• Flowers and seedlings. If they are not prohibited for carriage by customs and sanitary regulations.
• Animals. They are transported only when accompanied by adult passengers and with the written permission of the airline. They will need to draw up additional documents.
• Heavy baggage over 50 kg. Its airline will recommend to arrange as cargo.

Anything beyond that comes for an additional fee at the appropriate rate. Moreover, it is worth informing the airline about such items in advance at the time of booking a ticket, otherwise it has the right not to allow your things to be transported. You can pay for excess or oversized baggage in any convenient way. Fares start at 2,000 rubles for domestic flights and 35 euros for international flights.

The airline may refuse to transport you oversized items even if they are included in the list of prohibited items. It is quite extensive, weapons, explosive, flammable, poisonous and other substances dangerous to the surrounding people got here. The full list can be found on the official website of the airline. You will not be able to transport these items even for a surcharge. Some categories of prohibited items can be smuggled, for example, weapons. But this will require special approvals and documents.

But if your baggage exceeds 32 kg or its dimensions do not fit into the standard, then you already have to pay 10,000 rubles on a domestic flight and 100 euros when flying to the CIS zone. Exceeding the dimensions of 203 cm on international flights is also estimated at 100 euros, but the transportation of extra heavy baggage is not allowed on them at all.

Business class passengers pay only if their suitcase exceeds the free 32 kg or the dimensions do not fit into the norm. Here the price tags are similar to the above: 10,000 rubles and 100 euros.

There is one secret here. If possible, distribute things in different suitcases and buy an additional piece of luggage, it will cost you much less: 2-2.5 thousand rubles, 35 or 40 euros, depending on the direction.

A second piece in excess of the free baggage allowance on international flights will be more expensive. Here the price tag starts at 50 euros.

Again, these fares are valid for one flight segment only. On connecting flights, feel free to multiply all the numbers by two.

Bonuses for regular customers

If you are a status member of the Wings bonus program, you can count on additional benefits. Thus, holders of silver cards can count on a 50% discount on excess baggage allowance. A similar discount applies to oversized and heavy baggage.

Holders of gold cards traveling in economy class can count on an extra piece of baggage, as well as a 50th discount on other types of baggage. In Business Class, Gold Premium customers are offered half the cost of oversized suitcases.
